Samsara Cliff Resort

Good spot for those on a budget but want resort feeling. They have the traditional rooms that's oceanside, and then you have the bungalows, which are more secluded but with the ambiance of the jungle. That's were we stayed. Our room was spacious, plenty of storage, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean. The air-conditioned kept the room nice and chilled. They have an onsite gift store, restaurants and bar. Food was tasty. You can do buffet which changed daily or order something off the menu. Someone is alway at the lobby entrance to assist with crossing the busy road. I felt safe, was within a reasonable drive to the sandy beach. Samsara sister hotel was right on the beach and a shuttle was provided to and from for free. This was not my typical hotel esthetic as I normally stay in All inclusive modern hotels. I'm happy I gave it a try and would stay there again. It has a true Jamaica vibe for sure.

Localização: Fica nos Cliffs (não na praia), mas tem parceria com o Legends na 7 Mile, permitindo usar toda a estrutura de lá (cadeiras, guarda-sol, estacionamento e all inclusive, conforme a tarifa), além de transfer entre os dois sem custo. Nos Cliffs há escadas para mergulho; não dá pé, é preciso saber nadar ou usar boias. O visual é lindo, ótimo para snorkel (vi uma arraia gigante). A estrada de Negril é bem esburacada. Comida: All inclusive enxuto. Cerveja gelada e drinks liberados, mas sem vinho, whisky ou petiscos. Refeições em horários fixos (café, almoço e jantar), estilo buffet servido por atendente, sem restrição de quantidade. Não me adaptei à culinária jamaicana (muita pimenta). Houve um um almoço com hambúrguer e sanduíche, ponto negativo. Não vá com alta expectativa, mas a praticidade compensa. Estrutura: Área externa muito boa, muitas cadeiras e guarda-sóis, piscinas ótimas (uma de borda infinita), boias disponíveis, spa com vista relaxante, bar e restaurante de frente para o mar. Quartos antigos, porém espaçosos, vista para o mar (lateral no meu caso). Camas desconfortáveis, chuveiro quente, ar e TV funcionam bem. Sem frigobar (bar das 10h às 22h). Estacionamento suficiente, guarda-volumes disponível. Sala de jogos descuidada. Limpeza: Quarto e banheiro ok, bom sabonete, mas roupa de cama não parecia 100% limpa, principalmente a coberta.
