I chose this hotel because it looked like the closest from Matsuyama Station. It was about a 10-minute walk but if you have big luggage or if the weather doesn't cooperate I would recommend taking a taxi. There is a tapas-type restaurant attached to the hotel and the dinner service was all-you-can-eat for one price (you simply order what you like), within 120 minutes. There are two tram stations (one to Matsuyama Station and the other to Dogo Onsen) right outside so it was really convenient. The Matsuyama Castle is right across the hotel so if you are lucky your room may have the view. The hotel's age was reflected in the room and it felt like 1980. There was no electric outlets at the nightstand and there was maybe one or two available outlets in the room. But for a short stay it did the job and met my criteria of being closet to the train station.

環境もよく過ごしやすい場所でした。お部屋も広く、朝食も美味しかったです。ただランドリーが残念でした。すべて故障していて、仕方がないので近くのコインランドリーを利用しました。またランドリーがホテル中でも少しはなれた場所にあるので、お部屋でランドリーが空いてるのか確認できると便利かもと思いました。清潔で朝食も満足だったのでまた利用したいなとは思いました。

Hotel was nice. View of sunrise over the castle and city was pretty. The laundry room was very good. The room was quite hot and it was difficult to bring the temperature down. The restaurant attached to it shut an hour early which was an annoying.

建物自体が古いのでしょうがないのでしょうが、ＥＶが少なく時間帯によっては中々来ず、結構待たされました。駐車場も少ないので、直ぐ目の前にあるパーキングは当然提携するべきです。（ホテルの駐車場利用料と）「100円しか違わない」という物言いはどうかと思いました。

The room was a bit dusty. The soap dispensers in the men’s toilet on the ground floor were empty. I believe the photos of the rooms with a view of the castle had been photo shopped as I couldn’t figure out how it is possible to see the castle as show in the room photos, from any of the rooms. I was able to see the castle from the window but only just.

フロントの女性が事務的過ぎて冷たい印象。バスルームがカビだらけで気持ち悪い。古くても清潔に保つことは出来ると思う。朝食は美味しかったです。外国人スタッフの対応も良く楽しめました。駐車場は予約制にするか、十分なスペースが無い事を案内してはいかがでしょうか？到着してから満車なので近くのコインパーキングに自費で停めて下さいは少々不親切だと思います。

First off, the location was great, about a 10 minute walk from Matsuyama station, and right next to Matsuyama Castle. While the hotel is older, the room and bathroom were clean. There were some stains on the carpet and wall paper, and the plastics in the bathroom are little yellowed, but still overall clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the the room was quite large, at least by Japan budget hotel standards. I paid slightly more for a castle view room, and the view was definitely worth the extra money. Overall, I think the hotel is a good value, personally had no regrets staying here, and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel and reception are impressive however of all the places we have stayed in Japan this was the first where we really nearly left halfway through our stay. The room was dated and the sofa and net curtains had cigarette burns in them. The room was clean but noticeably a little run down. The BIG issue though was the bed. We had a twin and both our beds were hard as rock. We asked for an additional duvet but we're told none were available so got a blanket each to try and add some padding. The following morning we asked for a different bed or a futon to put underneath the sheet but we're told all the beds were the same and there was no futon available. In the end we got yet more blankets and slept on 2 thick blankets and the duvet folded over under just a blanket. Even then the bed was still firm. I'm sure for folk who are used to a futon this might be okay but for us it was difficult. On the plus side the hotel view was amazing looking to the castle, although the hotel is a little out of the town centre- about a 20min walk or short tram ride.

The property is within walking distance from Matsuyama castle and public transportation. It's also close to really great food options, with an Italian restaurant onsite. Parking is available onsite and has other parking locations close by if the onsite is full. Staff is really friendly and actually helped me with my car rental car issues. The manager Kobayashi san went above and beyond by acting as a liaison, translating my car issues, with the car rental company to resolve the problem.

フロントスタッフの対応が悪かった。チェックイン前に荷物を預けようとフロントに立ち寄ったところ、いらっしゃいませなどの声かけや挨拶も一切なく、面倒くさそうに書類を出してきた。チェックイン時も同様で、高圧的な態度で、『朝食は9時過ぎると片付けますから』と言われた。部屋も浴室内にゴミが落ちており、ウォシュレットは漏電防止ブレーカーが作動して使えないままだった。朝食ビュッフェはおいしかった。

Wonderful place! The staff is great and the room was the perfect size with wonderful amenities! There are plenty of food options around and it’s about a 5 minute walk from the tram station! Each room also has its own AC where some hotels in Japan only have central AC it was nice to have personal control.

Super helpful staff spoke English and helped me with figuring out how to get to the airport as well as the location for a nearby bank and their hours. The room was better than I imagined, especially for the price. And the goodie bag for my very tired children were a really nice treat! We will definitely be back! P.s. It was a manageable walk from Matsuyama train station with suitcases.

Excellent hotel. The only reason why we gave one less star for comfort was because, as visitors from Australia, we found the mattress to be very hard. It was the same at other hotels we stayed at in Japan. The hotel is within walking distance of the Matsuyama station or a short tram ride.

I loved the bed mattress! We have been traveling for a week and my back has been killing me…. After I woke up on this hotel bed, my back rested peacefully. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed updated beautifully. On the top of the stay the breakfast (with additional cost and a bit expensive) was WONDERFUL! There was a traditional dish, raw fish with rice which had equally good quality with the one we ate at the local restaurant on the day before.

部屋はきれいでサービスも大変良かった。部屋からは松山城も見えて、路線バスやリムジンバス、路線電車の乗り場もすぐ近くにあります。レストランも歩いて行く距離に数軒ありますが、価格が高い。ホテルの朝食は大変おいしかった。

It is a little far away from JR Matsuyama station, but it is reasonably near by of major tourists’ destinations such as Matsuyama castle and Dogo hot spring spa. Breakfast was excellent.
