This hotel is very clean, and its facilities are great, especially the laundry room, which is very well ventilated, unlike many hotels' laundry rooms. Air conditioning is central air. So, you can blast more than what the room can provide. But it was cool enough for my stay. It's in Ikebukuro, which is a very lively and safe place, thus a lot of shops/restaurants around. The food quality is not like central Tokyo, but it's good enough. I would come back again.

You just can’t beat the general location of this hotel. It’s a 10-minute walk from the train station but it’s a nice walk with various stores and restaurants along the way. Our only gripe was the wait for elevators in the mornings…easily a 10-15 minute wait every morning to leave your floor. Other than that one detail, we would definitely consider staying here again.

It is only 10 min walk from the Ikebukuro station which has access to many train systems. The Narita limo bus has a stop right at the doorstep this hotel. so convenient! The only bad part is although there are 6 elevators, it can take 10 minutes to get into one to go downstairs.

Sunshine City was conveniently located connected to the mall and subway station. Family mart is right next to the lobby level by the elevators. Sunshine City is also close to many eateries and restaurants outside the property. Staff were friendly and helpful. Helped with questions and directions. This hotel is one of the shuttle (limousine bus) locations for pick up and drop off from Haneda airport. Rooms were large and spacious. Gave it a four star rating for cleanliness, overall everything was clean but in the sink area there was lots of residual toothpaste/soap splatter all over the wall. This looked off putting. We did not pay for breakfast / did not receive free breakfast, so could not comment on the food. My rating is for convenience to many dining options. We did receive discount vouchers for some of the restaurants but did not use them as we went further out our daily excursions.

We stayed on 29th floor in a triple room. It was a good size big enough for 3 people and had a nice view over the city. The room was clean. The staff were helpful. Direct access from hotel to Sunshine City mall where you can access the metro which is one stop away from main ikebukuro station. I would recommend accessing hotel via the sunshine city mall as this is easier to find. Also the airport bus stops directly outside the hotel so this is an added bonus to a nice stay. Lifts weren't an issue as there are 2 dedicated to the upper floors. Laundry facilities and family mart also available within the hotel. Would recommend this hotel and ikebukuro for a trip to Japan. Shinjuku and Shibuya are both accessible on train within 10 mins

Very conveniently located as it's connected to Sunshine City Mall and less than a ten minute walk to Ikebukuro Station, and there's a Family Mart located on the first floor. The views are always spectacular. The staff are very friendly and even though the room wasn't immediately ready when using self check-in, the staff were helpful at reception and everything was sorted promptly. It's also easy to get to and from the airport with the Airport Limousine service and they have a luggage forwarding service in the lobby as well. This will always be my go-to hotel to stay in whenever I visit Tokyo.

前乗りのために宿泊しました。サンシャインシティ直結のため、ショッピング等も楽しめて立地はとても良いと思います。ただ今回残念だったところは、客室内の清潔感です。デスクのイスを引いたらゴミが落ちたままでしたし、ベッドの中には長い髪の毛がついていました。さらに最悪だったのは、未使用のバスタオルの中からも髪の毛が出てきたことです。お風呂上がりに使おうと広げて発見し、気持ち悪くて使えませんでした。

Room was dirty. There was even some garbage on the carpet when we went into the room. Carpet is really old and teared. The bed is not clean, all of us feel itchy after only sleeping one night. One of us even has rash. Location is good. However the hotel did not upkeep, it’s old and dirty. They claimed the hotel already renovated, but I didn’t feel any renovations. I’ve been staying this hotel couple times. It is getting worst each time. Try to give more chance but I’m pretty disappointed after all this. I think I will not come back anymore.

I have stayed in this hotel twice since I just like the location. It is far from Ikebukuro station but I don't mind walking. And this hotel connects to Sunshine city so you will be close to everything you need and convenient if you don't take train so much. However, the biggest problem this hotel has is its AC system. It says they have AC, but you don't get access to control it and cannot change the room temperature since their AC system is an old central AC. My first time staying at this hotel was in February, 2020.(Could be January) Winter in Tokyo is very cold but I was hot when I was in the hotel room. And I am a really cold person. Then when we asked the front to change the temperature, they said they lowered it but we were still hot so they ended up bringing a fan in our hotel room. Well, a fan spinning in a heated room in Winter... So if you are a hot person, this hotel would be really uncomfortable. My husband was sweating and really upset. He won't stay at this hotel in the future anymore. This my second time stay, November, 2025, he didn't go to Japan with me so I stayed in this hotel again. I assumed the hotel room would be hot and I was right. Well, maybe I was forgetting how uncomfortable it was last time so it was hotter than I was expecting in the room. Again, I am a cold person. I am always cold. I didn't say anything to the front though this time, because I knew they can't do anything about it. I am not sure about staying in Summer because I have sta

Excellent hotel to be reasonably close to Ikebukuro station, about 10 min walk and can be done mainly underground. Rooms are a bit small but comfortable with many amenities that you would find in the US at major hotels.

Had a beautiful view from the 37th floor. The only grumble was that the aircon had no temperature control, only fan speed. The room was warmer than we would have chosen. Plenty to see and do near by - shops, aquarium and observation deck.

Very small room, the walls are paper thin where you can hear your neighbour. One staff in particular at the front desk was not very helpful when we asked her about the airport bus limousine service. I would not be coming back as I know there are other better rooms and service in the same price point and area.

チェックイン可能な時間になった瞬間長蛇の列でした。有人のカウンターと機械でのチェックインの2パターンでしたがどちらも長かったです。機械に人を置いてましたがそこでサポートするぐらいならカウンター増やせば？とも思いました。また事前に支払いも終わっていたのでそのような方は機械に通すなど分け方を変えてもいいのでは？と思ってしまいました。

When I had a bad experience with residents who were rude and rowdy (as well as clearly intoxicated) in the laundry room, I did not get support or help from the front desk. I had gone down to the lobby, to report the behaviour and express my concern, but the person working at the desk didn’t show me any care. I was quite upset, which I felt was evident in my voice, but he did not seem to put any effort. He also was rude and harsh in his word choice when I spoke. He didn’t seem to take any action, and I walked away with no feeling of safety or security from the hotel’s end. The residents creating a ruckus were a group of me, and I was a woman alone in the laundry room at night. It was an upsetting experience overall, and I didn’t appreciate the front desk employee’s handling of it.

We’ve stayed here several times through the years. The location for shopping is great! The hotel rooms are decent. The one thing that remains consistent is the staff is NOT friendly at all. First I thought maybe it’s the language barrier but we stayed at the hotel metropolitan Ikebukuro last year and the staff was so welcoming and friendly even though there was a language barrier. Maybe improve your customer service.

This is my usual hotel for tokyo stay. The hotel is linked to sunshine city and connecting malls. Lots of food options, nearby supermarket, airport limousine stop and tokyo characters store. 10mins walk to Ikebukuro Station and have quite a few major lines. Room size is alright. Overall would stay if travel to Tokyo.

Very convenient location for shopping and access to Narita Airport. There is a shuttle bus stop from/to Narita right in front of the hotel. However, it is bit of a walk from the JR Ikebukuro Station. I had two suitcases with two children. Should have just taken a taxi from the station. Without suitcases and small kids it shouldn’t be a problem. The hotel is literally connected to Ikebukuro Sunshine - great access to Pokemon Center, Aquarium etc. Hotel breakfast is at best mediocre. I’ll probably stay again if I were flying out of Narita but probably not including the breakfast option.

We had a room in the top floor with breakfast included. To be honest, the hotel is ok, nothing more. Compared to the Prince Hotel in Hiroshima (which is excellent) it is only a bit above average. The breakfast is just standard and super rushed atmosphere, lots of people, loud and no special food and poor choice of drinks. The view from our room was amazing, Sunshine Mall is directly connected with the hotel, you can leave your luggage after checkout. For Tokyo this hotel is surely good and affordable, but if you just want to stay in a clean and nice room then there are better and cheaper options.

We had a great time here. Complimentary upgraded room. The buffet was good quality, well labeled, and expansive. Rooms were clean. Location is fantastic. Highly recommend! The only caveat is that if you have a lot of luggage and dont want to use luggage transfer, you might have a sweaty time getting to public transit. Take the limo bus to and from the airport if you can.
