We had a great view of Tokyo! The hotel is right next door to Shinagawa station so accessing all of Tokyo and Japan was so convenient with our JR Pass. The breakfast buffet was very busy but never ran out of food and the staff were amazing. We didn’t explore the hotel much but there is a lot to do without leaving the hotel, numerous restaurants, dolphin show, bakery, etc. etc. It’s was a great base for all our travels and we’d highly recommend staying here!

The Japanese standard! It is close to the terminal station, making it an ideal location for the traveling public. The hotel also has a number of amusement facilities, including a famous aquarium and an IMAX movie theater. The newly renovated rooftop bar offers a panoramic view of the Tokyo nightscape.

The hotel was very convenient to the Shinagawa Station which is why we originally booked this stay for our group. Its a huge hotel property with multiple wings, stores, restaurants and bars. Initially it was overwhelming, but after one run from the room out to get dinner and essentials at 711 (also on site), I was really happy we booked here. There are a lot of food options in the immediate area if you want to explore and a 24/7 fitness center that had good equipment. We only stayed one night and it was fresh off a flight from the US, but I would definitely stay here again….Only downside was the room AC didnt get below 73 and we are hot sleepers. Honestly, it wouldnt stop me from staying here again, there was way more upside!

Big hotel. Next to everything you could need- restaurants, 7-11,shopping arcade, bowling. Hotel has a pool. Shinagawa station is across the street. The station is convenient to everything Tokyo but because of that is extremely busy. Would stay here again.

1. Location of this property unbeatable 2. House keeping staff so courteous, professional and doing a wonderful job just to make us a wonderful stay 3. You have one of the best luggage storage department in Tokyo and in the country. The staff help customers to store from a few hours to a few days and to retrieve when they depart or to proceed check in. #3 is the major reason why I kept returning to Prince Shinagawa.

Booked 2 rooms. 1st room #2650 had stained carpets, frayed at the seam, grout in bathroom looked dirty, walls scuffed up. 2nd room #2651 smelled of body odor right when you opened the door. Tried to change rooms, but was told hotel all booked up. Staff finally smelled it and the room got changed. Luggage hold was great. Yamoto Black Cat luggage to airport was great. Hotel close to train station. Exterior of hotel is nice, but rooms were old looking. Interior needs updating. Step into the bathroom was dangerous. Tub hard to climb over for showering. Not sure if all the rooms are old and worn looking. Just felt dirty in the rooms with the stained carpet.

Location is great and view from corner room on 19th floor was wonderful but our main tower room could really have used a renovation from what felt like the 80’s or 90’s. Staff response to an issue of not being able to control temperatures was unlike any Japanese experience- apathetic and unapologetic- simply that cooler temps outside cause heat to be unpredictable inside. Asked for fan- apparently all had been lent out. Slept in 25 degree C room. Correction- couldn’t sleep in 25° room

The check in process can be improved. First, it is easily mistaken between Main Tower and Annex Tower. Check in took too long. I went to the self check in machine, but the machine has issue finding the booking. Then i queue for counter check in, only to be redirected back to self check in machine. Why?? The room is very warm too, the AC control unit is not working even i only wanted to increase wind speed. Also this hotel is very dated. The room is spacious but I expected more from this hotel. The only good thing is that it is close to Shinagawa station.

Excellent Stay and Outstanding Service at Shinagawa Prince Hotel We stayed at Shinagawa Prince Hotel for 4 nights when we first arrived in Tokyo, then returned for 1 more night after spending 5 nights in Kyoto — and everything about our stay was fantastic. Before returning, we had arranged to leave 2 large suitcases at the hotel, and they stored them for free during our Kyoto trip, which was incredibly helpful. When we returned for our final night, there was a small issue with our reservation — our daughter was not included — but the front desk staff handled it promptly and kindly. They managed to find us a room with three beds, which made our last night in Japan very comfortable and stress-free. The location next to Shinagawa Station is ideal for getting around Tokyo and to the airport. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, and the overall experience made us feel well cared for. Highly recommended, especially for families. We’ll definitely stay here again!

チェックインの際、エクストラカウンターの方がPCを持って積極的に対応に来ましたが、なかなか名前を探す事ができず、予約出来ていないのではないか、不安な時間を過ごしました。また、それに対してお詫びの言葉もなく、種宿泊税を支払う端末に案内され、住所の打ち込みなど対応が快くなかった。二泊しましたが、アメニティは歯磨・スリッパのみ、タオル交換やミネラルウォータの補給もなく、最低限ごみの処分程度はして頂きいと思います。

Good for having a 3-adult room in Tokyo even though it was small. Wallpaper was peeling considerably by the room entrance with multiple repair attempts visible. Breakfast buffet line was very long on a Saturday so we had the Japanese buffet which was good and available immediately. Staff is helpful and friendly. Location is convenient to Haneda and Shinagawa Station.

It is a great hotel. In the main, well managed and well run. However, the automated check in is still very difficult to navigate. The check in procedure asks for your name and either a reservation number or a telephone number. Booking agencies like Hotels.com do not supply a reservation number and the system will not accept a non-Japanese phone number. So having waited ten minutes in line to check in (it was a peak time : 3.30 pm) I then had to wait another ten minutes until one of the two staff assisting was able to use my name on his tablet to identify my reservation number. In all the procedure took nearly half an hour. The hotel needs to get booking agencies to supply a reservation number as well as an itinerary number.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. It was impossible to take a shower without water exiting the tub and onto the floor. It created a dangerous and slippery floor. We plan to return next year and will consider staying at the hotel again.
