Travelodge by Wyndham Bracebridge

Property has false advertising. Breakfast in a bag consisting of water , yogurt and granola bar. Room was covered in dog hair upon arrival and had to wait for it to be re cleaned. Air conditioning did not work and it was very hot. Had to request a fan. Beds very soft and uncomfortable. Construction taking place around the property. Travelled with 3 young children. I do not recommend this property. There are others available in the area for around the same price which unfortunately did not have availability. Note this property does not have a pool as advertised on some of their websites and road signs. Also was charged more on my credit card than the quoted price. Beware!

There was no pool and there was construction going on every where

It was newly renovated rooms. They were still working on the outside. No breakfast and no pool

Reno's going on, parking lot not swept.

Came back to our room and there was no parking spot available, even though we paid $171 for the night and it included a parking spot. Also I got a notification that they tried to charge my card another $100.

Parking lot under construction. Room very dated and carpet was disgusting!! Place should be closed until Reno’s are finished. Advertisement showed a heated pool and there was nothing. Would not recommend this place unless renovations are completed.

The place should be closed. They are building a new place and they existing units are going to be torn down. the parking lot is ripped up and there are large garbage bins and building materials in the parking lot -- roof trusses. The access to the front lobby was dangerous, rubble, broken patio stones, sand piles, unbelievable! The continental breakfast was a brown paper bag with expired yogurt and an old shrivelled up apple. The room itself stunk like old stale cigarettes and was dirty. The patio door was difficult to open and close. They advertised 2 patio chairs and a table on a nice deck outside the room, but it was an old deck and no chairs or table on it and looked into a neighbours backyard, no fencing or privacy between them. The air conditioner was loud and squealed. The TV volume would not turn up and the closed captioning was distorted so you could not read it. All in all it was TERRIBLE.

Wasn’t expecting to stay on a construction site. The kids were disappointed the playground was gone. Perhaps update the photos to reflect current condition of the property. Service was great tho.

The building was under construction and there was a lot of construction in the area that was not listed on their website. Staff was polite and very helpful. Made for very nice overall. Maybe just a little overpriced

I only stayed here bc most other places were booked (last minute trip) and the other options were very expensive. I honestly think even this was way overpriced. The room smelled moldy/old smoke (likely from years ago), had carpet (very unhygienic), the shower curtain was moldy and smelled, and the bedding was also stained with no real comforter (a sheet, sone sort of thin maybe flanked “blanket” and a thin maybe Duvet cover).

Although the property is under construction as they are building a 5 storey hotel, we were super impressed with how clean the room was, how big the room was and how quiet it was. We would stay here again for sure.

The room was not clean. Wall and floor was dirty. Some painting board was broken on the floor. All the site was in construction. I decide to leave and stay the night.

Good property with lot of parking space and the rooms were good and clean and well maintained.

Don’t judge a book by its cover, they are undergoing renovations. Inside, is all brand new and very clean. The outside is getting a face lift. Perfect location. Reasonable pricing. Visited with two young children.

The first room we stayed in, room 7, was awful. It was not clean, there was nasty marks smeared on the back of the toilet door, it didn’t smell nice, the decor was extremely tired, the bed sheets were not clean, the patio doors looked over a bunch of containers used for the on site building site - even the entrance door looked awful. For the first time ever, I refused to stay in the room. They offered a ‘free upgrade’ - this room was marginally better although still not great. It had two beds instead of the one, hence the ‘upgrade’. We did stop in the room at night only as luckily we were out all day. The TV didn’t work either and this room was also extremely tired and not cleaned properly. The toilet, under the rim, had about 3 inches of black mould, and around the shower lever used to turn on the water was also covered in mould, Black out curtains had holes and let in light. Also woken at 7am by the builders machinery (reversing beeps) The owner, however, is a very nice man as is his wife/staff. He is currently building another hotel and all his building workers are using these travelodge rooms. He has advised that these travelodge rooms will still be in use for a couple of years but my advise to all reading - book into the brand new hotel when it opens and stay far away from this travelodge.

Clean room and friendly staff

The bathroom had mold, everything looked very old and dirty.

When we checked in, there was a funky smell coming from the washroom and after inspection, we noticed there were stains in the bottom of the toilet. We notified reception and they came over to check. She apologized and moved us to another room right away. The quick service was greatly appreciated. The new room was clean, washroom was a bit old and small cracks on the floor, the top lock for the door was broken. The TV only had a few channels but we only needed the place to sleep since we would be out all day so it served it's purpose. Rooms were spacious. Mini fridge was helpful in keeping our drinks cold, microwave we did not use nor the coffee machine. The location was perfect in Bracebridge. We would stay here again.

The room was clean but very much in need of extensive deferred maintenence and updating. The comforter was stained, but the bed was comfortable enough. The property is under construction so it's nothing but dirt and sand everywhere which is almost impossible not to track into your room.

Convient spot but musky smell and super loud AC. Not great for the price we paid.

The staff are lovely and helpful! However, we were in the wing that has yet to be renovated and it was very outdated - so wasn’t worth the value. The breakfast was only a small bag of snacks, as they're in the midst of renovations. Understandable, but we wish we were told ahead of it. On the plus side, the room was clean, good water pressure and the fridge was cold. We got a peek at the newly updated wing, and it looks great! We look forward to staying in the updated rooms.

Pillows could be better

Property near a construction site, so be ready to wake up at 0600 AM everyday and handle the noise and dust till 0400 PM. We spent a whole day without access to hot water due to maintenance issues, which is acceptable, but there was no communication from the front desk to let us know in advance. Overall: 2 stars.

The TV and remote did not work together, you had to turn the TV on and off with the buttons on the side of the the TV as well as raising or lowering the volume. The beds with uncomfortable and lumpy. There was a big roll in the middle of the bed and if you did not stay in the middle you could roll right off the bed. The bathroom as very dirty. If it had not been prepaid and could not get our money back we would not have stayed. Do not recommend.

Big room with lots of space.

The staff was amazing and very friendly. I had some issues with the room but the staff handled very well. The room was very clean as well.

Room was clean and definitely had plenty of power outlets. Best thing was that they had Samsung tvs! Down side was that it is more of a motel style setup, work the front office actually tucked away at the back. The other inconvien ence was that the front office had limited hours. But the rates were good, which is why i booked. Was there for one night for work. One other thing was that i was charged an additional charge a "Municipal Tax" which they didn't tell me about until i see the charge on my credit card. One think that i have noticed, and it's an expedia thing is that some hotels don't want to give you a reciept when you book through expedia.

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant experience.

Clean room and friendly staff

The registration staff was friendly and helpful. What we found lacking was a plan to deal with the severe snowfall. On the morning we were checking out, we had to trudge through four feet of snow to get to the office and then borrow a shovel to clear a path to our car. No one from the office was proactive in dealing with the severe weather conditions, e.g., checking on guests overnight when the power kept going off, tracking road closures, helping with luggage transport to our car since we couldn't get it near the room without blocking the narrow passage created by other cars, etc.

Made reservation, no 24hr reception was not even able to get my room EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING and inconvenient! I hade to drive to another hotel

Too expensive for a small room , sun deck never gets sunshine faceing car wash, jet tub small and cramped. Staff friendly, room clean

Great place to stay in Bracebridge

Easy access to where we needed.to be.

The site is under construction, but did not impact the stay in our rooms. It was pet friendly, and there is a pretty garden and attached trail to walk on directly across the street. Thanks for your hospitality.

It was a nice location. Doing upgrades so hopefully they fix the AC problem.

The Muskokas are a lovely part of Ontario. Sadly this hotel is older and needs upkeep in the rooms. Like peeling paint and dark spots on the corners of walls which could be from water damage or mold. The breakfast provided is very basic no eggs or meat, just a yogurt, 1 fruit - A small apple, a juice box and an energy bar. You must go to reception to get it and that requires a walk outside.

Area was quiet and within walking distance to restaurants and such. Limited staff on site, rooms has a mildew smell as if there was water damage.

The room was clean, and beautifully renovated. Staff was friendly and courteous. My only issue was that a breakfast buffet was advertised in the pics and the buffet was none existent. Instead they had a cold bag breakfast which contained an apple, granola bar, yogurt, water, and juice box.

Advertised continental breakfast- only had a coffee machine. Plumbing was old, mattresses were soft and lumpy. Listers as a hotel- was an old one level motel.

The description says, free breakfast is included. But due to renovations or construction only breakfast bag was provided with a juice box, yogurt, water bottle , a fruit and a bar. they said it's approved by Wyndham, but it should be written on description and if it was not provided as written, we should be compensated.

The hotel was under construction and was not told about it. It said Breakfast included. We got water, yogurt, granola bar apple that is not Breakfast.

Room was newly renovated, clean, comfy bed. Quiet. Advertised said continental breakfast included, but it was a bagged breakfast with water, juice, apple, granola bar and yogurt. The continental breakfast wouldn't be available for a few weeks due to renovations.
