This is a newly renovated facility with clean and modern rooms and a very customer-focused staff. It is right downtown in Bucharest. The area is dirty, and the infrastructure falls short of the standards expected of an EU capital. We stayed in the same hotel last year. The breakfast was outstanding. This year, I would rate it as good - the offer has decreased significantly. It is on par with a four-star hotel in Western Europe. If you rent a car or drive your own, please be aware that the hotel's parking is three times more expensive than the public parking lots located in the immediate vicinity. We are Expedia Platinum members. We inquired about a free upgrade, but although better rooms were available, the staff at reception were not aware of it. So we didn't get an upgrade.

旧市街地にも近く徒歩で歩いて散策できるので便利。現地の人にはInter ContinentalというよりもAthene Palaceと説明する方が分かってもらいやすい。滞在中は朝食会場とプールが改装中で残念だった。ロビー、廊下、部屋は非常に豪華で素敵だった。ジムも小さな部屋で狭かった。一階の外からも繋がっているカフェ・アテネはなかなか良い。

I stayed for two nights and had such a great experience at the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were extremely attentive, service was outstanding in all areas; reception, concierge, the pool and spa, the restaurant staff, and the room cleaning staff. The hotel itself was very clean and the rooms were very tasteful with everything you could need. The pool and spa facilities were also very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious with such a huge variety of options. I would definitely stay here again.

Un hotel encantador, excelentemente ubicado, con el mejor servicio que puedes tener por parte de su staff, en especial de Malki, la mesera del restaurante, fue extremadamente amable, al igual que Narciso el chico del área del SPA/piscina, en general todos! From the early checkin to attentive staff, to the beautiful interior, this hotel is 5 star material. I couldn't be more pleased with my stay here and the rates were excellent. The only issues were the shower pressure was a little low and the room temperature was warm and couldn't be lowered. The pool was wonderful and the included breakfast is superlative and lovely. Overall, a wonderful classy, elegant hotel in a great location.

In theory this could have been a bad review. The restaurant and spa were closed for renovation, the lack of soundproofing in the interconnecting rooms meant our noisy neighbours kept us awake at 5am, and we were promised a room with a bath but didn’t get one. However the way the brilliant staff responded to every problem or request, the beautiful rooms and the really helpful concierge made a big difference and left us with such a positive view of the hotel still. The duty manager Andreea was especially helpful even helping us arrange a car back from the National Arena late at night. Would definitely return and trust that the issues we had were one offs.

Good quality large rooms close to the city center. Make sure to ask for a quiet room in case it bothers you as they have events from time to time. We were lucky to change rooms related to a Christmas party until 3am..

Great hotel, friendly staff, perfect location. Only issue was I paid extra for a room with a balcony and I had to sign a waiver for them to unlock it for me. The balcony is tiny and the railing is less than 3ft (90cm) tall so I'm guessing at least one person has fallen over the side of it at some point. Other than that, had a great time!

This is the best hotel stay I've ever had. We had a truly wonderful stay. The staff all went out of their way and to extra lenghts to give me and my boyfriend a memorable stay!! They really took it to the next level - and I'll remember it forever. I would especially like to mention Catalin!! But everyone was so friendly, service minded and helpful to us - from everyone in the reception to the staff at breakfast. Was really sad to have to go. I highly recommend it to everyone!! Go here!!

O hotel é muito bonito, com excelente localização. Tem café, um bar e restaurante; todos muito bons. O café da manhã é excelente, tem bastante variedade e comidas de qualidade. O quarto é espaçoso e confortável. O atendimento na recepção foi muito bom. Ajudaram-nos com reserva de restaurantes, foram bem atenciosos. Só achei o serviço do bar e do restaurante no café da manhã ruins. Ambos sempre muito cheios, demorava para nos atenderem. No segundo dia de manhã pedi um café três vezes a três pessoas diferentes e não me entregaram. Tive que tomar na rua depois. Não sei se estão com pouco staff para essa época do ano, que está bem cheia, mas não me pareceu estar à altura do hotel.

Another excellent stay at the Intercontinental. From Reception to the Spa the staff are excellent and want to make you welcome and valued. I especially would like to thank Claudia for her sunny and bright disposition, great service and managing to get my wife's coffee requirements just right every time at the breakfast service!

Location: is close to Old Town and walking distance to some nearby attractions. Service: If you pay for breakfast, it is very good. But, the staff is not very friendly. For instance, if you stay one (1) minute after AM closing time and ask for a coffee or refill you will be told that they\'re closed. This happened to me and to travelling partners. We were ugraded to a room with a balcony, but, the door to the balcony was locked. The room was noisy from the street although we asked for a quiet room. The service cleaning the room had to be asked a few times to come even though the service room light was turned on for hours requesting service. And when we forgot an item in the hotel and contacted the staff to have it shipped, it took three (3) days to receive an answer. The facility is being rennovated and is nice (not luxurious) but the service by personnel is very uneven and needs improvement for a "luxury" hotel.

I was traveling alone with two kids (3 and 4 years). So what are the minuses: 1. At the hotel no one help with stroller - so I was like a monkey in circus - consierge just watched calmly how i managed the stroller (folded and unfolded it from the car) 2. Twice 07.02 and 08.02 i asked room service to make sandwiches (butter and cheese) with skimmed milk for my kids and several times got the answer “we do not have it in menue” and other time they got us some terrible greasy staff with fried potatoes that i did not ask. So only a kind guy that got this stuff to our room managed to explain room service what they had to prepare (he was my superhero. Many thanks to that young guy)

Die Lage an der Calea Victoriei ist unschlagbar – Athenaeum und Königspalast sind nur Schritte entfernt. Unser Zimmer war ruhig, makellos sauber und sehr bequem; das Housekeeping arbeitete tadellos. Das Frühstück setzte Maßstäbe: großes Buffet und täglich ein Glas Sekt; an meinem Geburtstag überraschten Simona und ihr Team mit Kuchen und einem kleinen Ständchen – eine wunderbare Geste. Besonderer Dank somit an Simona, Kumara und Daniel sowie Concierge Vasile, der kurzfristig Tickets für das George-Enescu-Festival im gegenüberliegenden Athenaeum organisierte. Preislich eher im oberen Segment, für Qualität und Lage jedoch absolut angemessen. Potential nach oben: ein late Check-Out wäre super gewesen, da unser Flug am frühen Abend startete. Hier wäre mehr Flexibilität nett gewesen.

We wanted to say a special "Thank You" to Alexei at the Front Desk who first greeted us and was always there to answer any questions we had (which was a lot as Americans!). Thank you also to these fine folks at The English Pub Bar: Andrei, Daniela, Stefan (possibly Stefon) and Emna who provided great tips & spent time talking with us!!!! You have a fantastic team there. Top notch experience and plan to return.....not soon enough for us though!
