Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre

I thought the property was very clean and well kept.hotel room was spacious with a very comfortable king bed and the jetted tub was just what we needed. Pool area was stocked with towels and had washroom/change facilities right in the area. Fitness centre had a variety of newer nautilus equipment and looked like someone would be happy to use. Onsite restaurant but did not have enough time to try.

Everything was great, with the exception of the hot tub being out of order.

I was so impressed with this hotel. Every aspect was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and available early. The pool and hot tub were wonderful (including the water activities for kids). Arthur's Pub was an ideal place for dinner. Cannot recommend more highly, especially for families.

Clean room, breakfast wasn’t included so can’t comment on the breakfast. Having Arthur’s pub in the hotel is a bonus, food was good.

The reason I booked the hotel is so that I could have a hot tub. Again hot tub was out of order. Would have been nice to know that at time of booking..

Such a good stay! Very clean, in the rooms, gym space, and pool deck. We used the pool alot! Had toys for the kids and was just so relaxing for a hot day! We didnt try the Pub but the pictures looked really good. It’s a best Western Plus, usually you can count on it being great!

Very little parking because of an event

Bed and pillows were among the most comfortable ever experienced at a hotel. Pub dining on-site had great dinner and breakfast options. Charging available for electric car (limited to one) and we appreciated the later check-out time.

Besides the mildew in the shower, the room was okay clean and considering we were on the first floor it was very quiet with a lot of activities going on, staff were friendly. We were in rom 107. Its an old hotel so it needs updating.

We had a great stay at this hotel however the bathroom smelled like poop horribly all the time. I don't know if it was the pipes or what but it was awful

Beautiful room with 3 queen sized beds to accomodate our family. Pool was so fun and wonderful for everyone but especially our 10 year old grandson! There is also a hot tub

Queen bed room actually came with an uncomfortable double size Murphy bed

People in nextnroom kept us awake until 330am with noise and partying. No coffee machine in room. Furphy bed not comfortable pillows kept falling in between wall and the bed

The pillows were terrible the worst I ever had but the breakfast at Arthur’s pub was so delicious

Clean, roomy, quiet

Room 221 has three queen size beds. Two face the tv and one faces the other two. Great if you want three big beds. Lots of room.

The room were clean and staff are friendly. We had a patio room which are handy for bringing in our luggages. Nice to have the outdoor living with the indoor. Unfortunately the main comfort was not up to standard. We actually sank into the middle of our mattress. Although we found more nice things about this place, we would not suggest to have that room again.

Hotel is clean but very outdated.

This hotel has a lively pub. Patrons go outside to smoke and chat, and their loud conversations can be easily heard from the third floor, such that we woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.

I arrived later in the evening, when I attempted to check in there was no one there. Staff from the pub kept coming and going saying “I don’t know where he is, and I can’t help you check in, sorry” tried calling, no answer. After about 12-15 minutes the front desk person, James, appeared. No rush, no apologies or explanation. “ID and credit card” he demanded in an annoyed tone. I obliged, just wanted to check in and go to sleep. After signing and initialing I was told there would be a hold on my card for incidentals. I asked for a receipt as it is my company’s policy to collect a receipt for any charge on the card, temporary or not. James looked at me and said “why? It is a temporary hold and will be put back on after you check out”I explained jeans that it was my company’s policy and then even if she does go back on, I still need a receipt anytime it is used. Now he’s missing eye contact with me and he looks super annoyed and again he questions it “ but that makes no sense. It’s literally a temporary hold and we put it back on when you check out as long as the room is fine” I told James that I was not trying to be a pain in his behind that this is to avoid having a pain in my mind and that even though he doesn’t see the point it, it is still something that I need. He pushed the button and Presto I had the receipt. The toilet in my room ran all night long. I tried to jiggle the handle, but I’m no plumber. Two of the pillowcases had stains on them. Need more than 1500 words.

Stay was wonderful, free upgrade, let me choose my room location. Only downside was the rude awakening at 545am because an alarm was set on the clock.

Check in was seamless and staff was polite and helpful.

10/10 experience - staff, service, property!

The staff here are INCREDIBLE. They bent over backwards to ensure we had a room suitable for our family after we booked off Expedia. They held our items, shifted us rooms after our first night, and checked in to ensure everything was suitable. The hotel is close to everything and the pub onsite is a nice touch.

Working out of town, and found this Best Western that also has an english pub attached. Comfortable bed, clean rooms and excellent service.

We were very happy with this hotel for our 2 night stay. The staff were particularly kind and helpful.

I personally loved the style, and look of this hotel. I do believe it’s absolutely ridiculous for 50 dollars a night for a deposit is ridiculous. Not once was this listed anywhere,I understand 50-100 but not a 150 for a three night stay. I also went in to check in early to do all paper work as we arrived to Coburg early. I personally did not like the way Sam spoke not very friendly or a people person. Her attitude changed when the man left (manger) was worse. However the male when we checked in to get keys were amazing!!! The took time out of there day to acknowledge my children. A few things I did not like was with small children we were so far away from the pool, and on Friday night out of a three day stay it was very loud at night. Also what is the point in asking for license plates if people from the hotel can’t find parking. On Friday we could not find parking we had to keep circling. My family absolutely loved the pool, the rooms were great. Our toilet stoped working the second day and it was fixed right away.

Easy access from 401

Great option close to highway 401 close to commercial area ( walkable) including restaurants, shops, groceries. There a Pub attached to the hotel offering great entertainment, dining, and drinking. On the down side, it is dated but service was great. I recommend!

Nice location close to stores and restaurants

Best hotel in Cobourg for a short stay. Staff are great and there is a pool/jacuzzi. Only downside is its a bit far from town.

Great place. Perfect for kids and close to the beach.

It was a good stop over from Gatineau to Niagara Falls and we enjoyed the beach closeby.

Great location clean and quiet

My room type and location requests were easily accommodated. On-site pub offers good food and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Arthur's restaurant is excellent, the pool and whirlpool was clean and wonderful, our second stay, will stay again.

The property was clean and well maintained and the rooms were very clean. The Arthur’s Pub was excellent for dinner after a long day of driving.

Loved this little hidden gem in Cobourg. It was clean, well kept and my favorite thing was Arthurs Pub that is in their building. Really good British food and nice ambience. We will definately make this our pit stop when going back and forth to Michigan from Quebec. We definately recommend it.

Overall the stay was great- it was peaceful, staff were super friendly and welcoming, parking was easy. What I did not enjoy was the dining options- or lack thereof. I was pretty surprised the hotel didn't come with breakfast options although they charge similar rates to other hotels that do. The in-suite coffee was awful. The food at the Pub attached to the hotel was not good. For my next stay in the area, I won't be staying here.

The staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. The service at the restaurant was on the slow side of things but food was good. All and all a good hotel to stay in.

Nice and clean, staff friendly Attached restaurant closed at 10, while a bunch of us were watching game 1 of edmonton vs florida. turned the tvs off between third period and overtime. i understand people want to go home after their shift but really

We stayed in a suite with 1 queen & tv in one room and 2 queens & tv in the other. Beds were comfy, room was clean. Restaurant was ok - but ran out of things on the menu. No breakfast included. Great pool & hot tub.

Friendly staff. Room was very clean. Food in Arthur’s Pub was delicious.
