Place was cheap so we didnt really expect too much, however, we didn't expect my mom to get bed bug bites in the two nights that we stayed there. We arrived to the hotel at 8 pm. And we still had to wait 40 minutes for our second room to be cleaned and ready for check in. Keep in mind check in is at 3 pm. Ice machine was broken all weekend, so we weren't able to get ice when needed.... we had to buy ice from the 7/11 down the street. I will say that staff was extremely friendly and helpful They tried their best to accommodate my moms needs when we asked for a wheelchair accessible room.... but when I tried to speak to them about the bed bugs, front desk staff was quick to brush off the topic and said they have never had issues with bed bugs in the past. I will be calling management to speak to them about the issue further. My advice is... you get what you pay for. If you can afford a bit more, pay a bit more and get yourselves a headache free hotel stay somewhere else. Without the bug bits 😫

It was walking distance to the waterfront which was nice, but overall the building looked run down and some doors didn’t work. You could not drive up to the front door as they had pylons there. There was no accessible entrance, every entrance had a step to get inside.

The hotel sell package with breakfast but the dinette area is so small that it can't accommodate the guest. More so there no one managing the dinner area to make sure we have enough stuff..other than that all is good.

There are 2 stories to this hotel and no mention of no elevator. Had my mother joined us as planned then she would not have had access. This needs to be clearly communicated in the promotional materials.

Due to flight delays we could not make the first night and would not honour the rate from my first booking. The first room they check us into smelled of cigarette smoke. The second room the linens were dirty and soiled. Lipstick on the lamps, Something stuck to the floors which look like vomit among other things.

After moving a few items in the room in the corner was about 200+ ants roaming around on the floor. They were quick to come and clean it up and offer a new room, but we didn't want to move all our stuff again for only 1 night left out of the two. I would suggest some ant traps for sure, and cocking for the tiles as they were crawling under. The walls were paper thin and we heard people making love very loudly which was a bit disturbing, hotel is outdated, breakfast was decent, waffle maker, bagels, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt and toast and juice... overall I'd give it a 4/10 , would I go to a super 8 again: No I wouldn't. (they made no effort for offering a complimentry night or refund of any sort. That shows that they don't really care about how disgusted we felt, it was a mound of bugs. I'll stick to Days Inn which was my usual go too but for $240 for 2 nights, we expected more. The location is good, area a bit sketchy, not far from the attractions, pretty central location Sorry Super 8 but you failed and lost a customer, unless you can rectify this situation

My room had bed bugs. My poor dog was bitten tons and i had marks on my legs and bottom. The room itself seemed clean enough but unfortunately had no usb plugs and the tv had no movies or any aside from basic poor cable. The staff was friendly and i DID receive a small refund after complaining about bites. The entire hotel had poor maintenance, paint poorly fixed if at all. In need of renovations desperately

We were passing through for one night and this fit our needs. I give it 5 stars for a budget friendly hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and updated. WiFi worked. Front desk person was nice. Breakfast was decent. The only thing I would keep in mind is if you need a very quiet room to sleep in request a room in the back (not street facing). Otherwise all is good and I think if you need a budget friendly hotel room and you have reasonable expectations then you will be pleased.

I came into Sarnia as a trumpet player to perform a Big Band James Bond show at the Imperial Theater. My day job is a self-employed handyman contractor. I have traveled and rated the Wyndham properties all over Michigan going south through the Blue ridge mountains down to Florida. This particular property was extremely well renovated and was very impressed with the wood flooring, big screen TV, updated bathroom and overall cleanliness of the room and property. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful when there was a glitch with the TV remote. I was pleasantly surprised when a working vacation turned out to be such a wonderful getaway.

The corners on the floor in the bathroom were dirty/sandy and the bathroom mirror did not light up and was showing wear. The sofa didn’t seem clean in the crevices and no table to place a drink etc. The heating system was very loud also so it wasn’t a restful sleep

The hotel is generally quite good except for the lack of sound insulation between the rooms. Very frustrating if the neighbour decides to watch TV or even carry on a conversation when you're trying to sleep. Can't beat the price though. Clean, upgraded rooms with great shower pressure. Walking distance to restaurants and the river front. Bring your earplugs and you'll be OK.

I didn’t like the fact that there was no one at the desk upon arrival. Then I was directed to call the hotel number , of which there was no answer. Then when I did get an attendant I had difficulty understanding his questions due to his accent.

I had booked and prepaid for a room via Expedia. It was an extremely long drive to the hotel with a lot of heavy rainfall throughout my drive. I was running way late and received a call from the hotel asking me when I was expected to arrive. I informed the hotel clerk that I was going to arrive well after midnight and he said that was fine and nothing further was stated. I arrived at the destination very late at about 3:30 am and was relieved that I had prepaid for the room. The desk clerk informed me that my room was not available and my reservation had been forfeited since I did not arrive before midnight. After a much heated argument I was finally given a downgraded room which I accepted since I was exhausted from my travels. When I went into the room I found it had been used and not cleaned up from the previous occupants with messy beds and soiled towels. I was too tired to care anymore and just slept on top of the bed but I will never again book this hotel.

Okay, i will give them some points for attempting updates. But ummmmm, crack heads in parking lot, hookers outside back door. Surface clean, but gross as could be. Our room floor looked clean but our feet were as black as could be,.Breakfast was well, coughed on by another guest. Staff was okay and polite. Tv didnt work, was even plugged in. Paid 184 for first night 154 second, then found out could have stayed at isgnia hotel for less. You have been warned, not worth it

Hookers and drug addicts around the building as soon as we pulled up . Felt unsafe with my little ones there. Tried to get my money back , still charged me for one night . Went down the road paid a little more for something more safe and accommodating. Expedia needs to remove this listing!

This property was clean and what I would expect for a Super 8 but the breakfast left alot to be desired. One of the juice dispensers and the decaf coffee dispenser were out of order. The yogurt had expired. The apples were passed their prime. I don’t expect a gourmet breakfast but I do expect fresh food and the dispensers to be in working order.

It was good. Only the breakfast needs more attention. The eggs were spoiled and the juice machine was out of order. The receptionist was away whe I checked in and it took him about 15 minutes after I called the number on the away sign. Thank you
