Checking in given wrong room, given excuses as to why they moved me. Room I got stunk, no hot tub(to much work to look after since covid) at least that’s what I was told, Sauna closed for maintenance, and pool had way to much chlorine.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The gym was fantastic, everything anyone could need. Pool and sauna also on site. Convenient location. Room was nothing fancy but it was all we needed for the 1 night.

The hotel was perfect for the type of trip we wanted, just to get out of the house and have some peace and quiet. I loved the pool and sauna, it wasnt crowded at all, although I was disappointed there was no hot tub as other reviews had led me to believe. The room was clean, bathroom was tidy, and we could always call to the front desk for anything. The Shire was also a fun place to go for breakfast, it was excellent!

(The power in the area had been off, so air conditioning had not been on, and the room was near where there was a picnic table and people smoked.) That room was not ideal for a family. The staff quickly moved us when we complained. The hotel is clean, although very dated in terms of appearance. The kids enjoyed the pool. The restaurant was great. Breakfast was excellent, as were the wings. Became our first choice to eat at as we were in the area for a week. The hotel served our purpose for our trip. Enough fast food and even a bowling alley we went to in the immediate area.

The place had everything I needed. It was extremely noisy though as the walls are paper thin. I kept hearing doors opening/closing and footsteps from upstairs even past 1 a.m.

The staff we dealt with during our stay were excellent - friendly, accommodating. The pool was really nice - warm, clean and it appeared to have recently been renovated. We found the beds to be too soft for our liking. I found the air conditioner to be too loud and affected my sleep.

Nice stay. Ok property. Pretty run down. Price is a bit much for the state of the hotel. We had a room with 2 queen beds. One was so bad we couldn't sleep or sit on it. Ouch.

I just happened to mention that we were there for a Celebration of Life for my uncle who was the last one left from my Mothers family of 22 children and was very touched when under our door was a handwritten condolence card shortly after we arrived. This was extremely thoughtful of the front staff.

We were charged $100 for incidentals upon checking in which was a total surprise. In total it cost us over $300 to stay at this hotel for one night and all we used was towels and toiletries. Not worth it don’t waste your time.

No continental breakfast, good restaurant attached , but no discounts for staying at the Travel Lodge. Rooms ok nothing great, funny smell. Check in person not very friendly. When we wanted to check out 1 day early, was charged for the day as not enough notice. Will not stay again.

My wife wanted to stay over night somewhere for fun you know just to get out of the house. We found this hotel out of simcoe and it looked good it had a pool and restaurant built right into it. We got there front desk was great fast check in and we got into our room quick and decided to have some dinner at the restaurant “The Shire” it was good food I really enjoyed the jumbo wings, and after we ate we went for a dip in the pool nobody but us we had the pool to ourselves which was great! Stayed in the pool for about an hour and went back to our room to rest and eventually go to sleep. I really enjoyed the stay we had everything at the hotel we didn’t need to leave at all, I would love to go back again

We were quite surprised. Everything was excellent and we even received a personal welcome call. The restaurant on site is an awesome pub with fabulous food. We will be back for next year's Norfolk Festival!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
