A very well-located hotel, interesting architecture. The room was spacious and clean, as it also was the washroom. Furniture in good shape and comfortable. The heated outdoor pool, gym and free parking a great value. We were offered free breakfast on first day. That was a misunderstanding. I woke up my son so we wouldn't miss the convenience of the free breakfast. But that was a mistake. Just tea, coffee, yogurt and cereals should be called free snacks, not "breakfast". We went for breakfast somewhere else after that.

The staff was friendly and had great service. The location is good, great neighbourhood. The pool was closed and the gym not very well maintained. They should improve the overall look of the place

Our room had a few housekeeping issues but nothing I couldn’t fix on my own. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool was a great little bonus. Also took advantage of the outdoor seating area.

I like the location. No breakfast included. Pool is not swimmable. Pool cleaner was off for 2days and said its now algae. He didnt vacuum the pool, he used a brush. He said no swimming because he has to shock itl sign on gate to pool says its safe to swim but its cloudy. There is a film on the surface of the water and particles throughout water. Stayed 2 nights. Short on staff so they didnt clean my room. I did it myself. Front desk said just take garbage out back door. Staff are all complaining that overworked and need help. THEY TOOK 500$ for deposit and said 5days to get my money back I am stranded with no food or gas. Thus is a nightmare. I came here because my Father is in hospital. He is dying. Im starving. This is horrible

Front desk staff were excellent. The room was pretty good. Finishes are a bit old, and there was only one night stand by the bed. It was a long weekend so there was some noise, but it was not ridiculous. Parking is an issue. We ended up having to park in the grass in the rear. We were right outside the rear door which was convenient, but it strange having to park on the grass. It was sold out that night, so that might explain the parking situation. Getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit of a pain. Just not a great design for traffic flow, whichade checking in a bit tricky. We slept well, and had a great vacation over all. I have to say again that our staff interactions were excellent.

They upgraded us to larger room because we had 2 bikes we wanted to bring inside and a room on ground floor with a patio. It was great. Betty cooked us a delicious breakfast. Outdoor Pool was clean and open long hours. Thank you. We'll be back

We loved the proximity to beaches and stores. The gentleman at the front desk who we dealt with primarily was excellent, kind, helpful, and easily the best part of our stay. We were a little bit concerned with cleanliness. We found some strange hairs (photo below) in our bed and noticed a pest control man heading in as we were heading out. Otherwise excellent!

Issue with the bathroom - floor was soaked. Front desk brought us extra towels and inspected it. Was not normal, was very wet. Slightly smelled. Wouldn't go in the bathroom without shoes on

The room had not been properly cleaned prior to arrival. There was a can under the bed, and a sock and a few other pieces of garbage from pervious guests. Other than that the room was in good order.

This room is absolutely disgusting. It is humid, moist and the a/c doesn’t work. The sheets and pillows were so wet, we had to get fresh ones and new pillows and turn the heat in to dry out the room. This place is awful. The man at the front desk was great though. Place is sold out so no moving rooms and he isn’t authorized to refund or discount but he helped with changing the bedding and was very apologetic. I feel bad for him. I would NEVER stay here again. And I will tell everyone I know…

Our room was on the ground floor which is like a basement as the hotel is on a slope so the second floor is the main floor, it did feel like a basement to, we were only there one night so didn’t ask to be changed to a higher floor. The bed was ok the pillows were awful totally flat, the room was quite dusty.

We were upgraded from a queen to a king which was nice however we were located next to the ice machine, laundry and an entrance. When the washer behind our wall went into a rinse cycle the wall vibrated and the hanging picture was bouncing on the wall. Lesson learned and if offered again we will ask to see the room. Also, there was what he called a takeaway breakfast. Consisted of apples and muffins wrapped in plastic. Finally, fruit flies in our room.

Stayed 2 nights. The facility is outdated and in need of a renovation. Fit and finish was pretty poor in the hallways. The bed was the worst I've slept on in recent history. Overall it's ok if your on a budget and don't expect much, but theres better options in the area

The person at the desk was kind and polite. Answered our questions. Our bathroom was a little small, but the shower/tub was good. Bed was comfortable, but when we turned on the tv it was hard to find the regular channels. But other than that we would come back and let our friends know about Best Western.

Beware travelers! My booking was prepaid weeks before through expedia and yet they charged me a $250 "damage deposit" when i arrived. When i checked out they said it was a pre-authorization and my card wasnt charged. NOT TRUE! I was charged and i still havent received my credit! They won't return my calls when they say they will and when i call back they leave me on hold forever and then just hang up! Totally incompetent staff! Never again!

The customer service provided by Jen was fabulous. She resolved an issue we had with our room on check in, she was very professional, and had great customer service skills. She was a pleasure to deal with which made the problem we experienced less of an issue for us. Definitely an asset to the property.

No staff. Room wasn't made up until after 4 pm. Came back to previous days towels still in the tub. Restaurant closed. Offered apple juice box and cereal bars. Arrived Sunday no toilet paper in public washrooms and garbage by the elevator. Was still there when we left Wednesday. Totally disappointing stay.

Looks are definitely deceiving here From the outside the place is definitely dated but once inside it's a totally different story Awesome staff great room and fantastic outdoor pool Definitely would stay here again Ohhhhh and fantastic restaurant 300 feet up the road named the barrel

Arrived and there was no bar soap in the bathroom. Front desk staff provided three once requested. The property is dated. Cleaniless was okay - streaky mirrors and shower stall. No breakfast included in the price which was disappointing. Paid $270 for one night. Limited hotel options in Simcoe. You get what you get in small towns. We grabbed Tim Hortons on the way out for breakfast options. Couldn't use the hotel restaurant as it opened at 7 a.m.

Overall I had no complaint with the property itself. I was extremely disappointed to learn the breakfast nook was closed, due to the lack of a chef. The breakfast option was one of the factors determining my stay at this particular property. We were offered cold take breakfast which was not at all appetizing. The one carafe of coffee was terrible.
