Oh, where to start…? First I’ll preface that this is my first one star review of a hotel, ever. The staff working the front desk were pleasant and quick to help us check-in, we checked in late due to weather related issues and appreciated how quick she was. First the elevator was broken (not such a big deal for us but not idea accessibility-wise), secondly the room key they gave us first was a key to someone’s room, there were people inside sleeping... Imagine sleeping in your hotel room to someone trying to get in!? That must have been horrifying for that poor patron! Next, we were given another room on the next floor immediately, which was great, but upon access the bathroom looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned at all, with dirty foot prints in the bathtub and hairs all over the tub and countertop sink. The baseboards were dirty and the door to our room had splatter marks all over it. The TV didn’t work at all. The air that was running in the room was cold. The neighbours were loud and unruly. I was woken up abruptly to management pounding on the neighbouring rooms door to kick them out after many many complaints throughout the night and morning. I know that service people can’t control what people are doing in their room but it just added to an already chaotic visit.

It is right across from a park where there are homeless/druggies. There is no parking at the hotel-parking is across the street. We got to our room and there was no power on the one side/wall where the lights and alarm clock was. The elevator quit working so we have to walk upband down 4 flights of stairs. The pop machine is not working on our floor, found that out after we got back up here. And we've only been here for about 5 hours. So extremely disappointed. I will never stay here again, nor would i recommend it to anyone else. Definitely not worth the price. Two thumbs down

Polite and friendly staff. Room was not cleaned properly. Tub was dirty. Sheets were questionable. Rugs were not vacuumed. Bathroom floor not swept or cleaned. Kleenex empty. Stains on lamps Non functional lights. Scent of building/rooms were pungent. Area full of drug addicts and the homeless sadly 😭❤️🙏

I visit this area monthly. I have stayed at this hotel before but the quality of the rooms has gone down significantly. In fact I discovered bedbugs, trash and an unfinished sub in the bedside table. Various fluids on the walls. I reported it to staff and asked for a refund but they would not refund the night I had to spend there up all night as I other hotels were booked up.

The walls are very thin we woke up often from people talking, room was clean but the sheets were stained and then changed and still stained, the building itself is pretty run down doesn’t have a very welcoming vibe but overall staff was good and the stay was fine

Room was dirty, stains on pillow, wallpaper, hair in bathroom. Furniture chairs old and ripped. Stairway, hallway and rooms smell musty. Overall neglected and disgusting. Will not be going back there ever.

My friend and I booked the hotel as part of our girls road trip. The surrounding neighborhood was run down, with what appeared to be many drug users. The parking lot was across from the hotel, but luckily the kind manager allowed us to park in the small lot so we didn’t have to cross the street. The entire hotel smelled of food and cigarettes. Nothing appeared to be upgraded since the seventies. When we entered our room there was a small pile of dirty clothes in the corner from the previous guest. When my friend got into her bed it was filled with sand. It was impossible to sleep as the smell of the food and cigarettes in room was overwhelming. The air conditioned barely worked and we sweat all night. I wouldn’t wish this hotel stay on my worst enemy.

The room was clean and comfortable enough, but I’ve never seen one in such a poor state of repair, even in hotels much poorer than this. Cracked sink, holes in walls, missing lampshade, broken luggage stand… too long a list to include it all. And the room lacked many minor amenities that we’ve all come to expect, like a box of tissues, a drinking glass, or a USB outlet. The free breakfast is better than many I’ve had in fancier hotels, and the staff was friendly.

Awesome little hotel in downtown sudbury. Staff was so nice and helpful. Allowed us to be within walking distance of the night life as well. Room was slightly smaller than expected but did exactly what we needed it too.

Everything form the attempt to access the lobby was just ok at best. I had my hands very full, the front desk attendant made no attempt to even look up from the computer (where they were eating) to see if I needed assistance), they could hear it was a struggle and no accessible entry button. I got the discount room without the discounted price, bulkhead stops the drapes from fully closing light shins tight in your eyes, drywall damaged, cracked sink (not leaking), bathtub drain so slow I accidentally closed it had to have someone come reopen it (they were fast but said your sending mixed signals with the do not disturb sign (it was up to stop housekeeping from waking in while I was showering or getting ready. This was a two night stay night two music so loud it kept my husband up most of the night (called front desk stoped momentarily but started again and very loud neighbor in the room next to me yelled waking me up, when I finally had enough I yelled pounded on their wall they quieted down. This used to be our go to hotel but after everything that happened this trip will be looking at some of the “nicer” hotels.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay at this property. There were host of issues at this property: Breakfast: They serve expired food at the breakfast. Milk was expired. Please make sure you taste everything before feeding your kids. I had to suffer all day long with stomach problems. Front Desk: Rude and unfriendly. Charged us extra on our credit card and cannot even provide an email copy of the charge. Room: Lamps did not work. Heat was blowing cold air from one side. Heater made loud sounds as if we were sleeping next to a freight train. Hotel: Run down, dingy and dirty. Never staying at Best Western again. Will definitely go to a Hilton or Marriott brand hotels.

On September 26/27 I stayed at this BW. If you like curry, then you will enjoy walking into this hotel, as it is quite prevalent in the air. The room was very worn and needs updating. The bed was very comfortable. I did have an issue at the front desk. I came with a $500 limit card for my stay up north as my intent was to pay cash for my rooms. Instead of only holding the $100 deposit on my card they held the deposit and the cost of my stay for 2 nights. $325.80. As I was paying cash for my stay I immediately told them and unfortunately for me the holdback would not be released for 3-5 business days which I have yet to receive. I did ask immediately for it to be reversed and was told to wait for a manager in the morning. I stayed at a BW in North Bay on the 28th and only a $50 deposit was held. Beware and be sure the staff are clear when checking in. Unfortunately this property is also in a part of town that has many unfortunate homeless.

Hotel itself is nice, Sudbury however is not. Our room had a stunning view of people doing drugs in a park, and we woke up to our bike stolen from our bike rack. Never visiting here again.

The downtown location was convenient for the business I had in Sudbury. However, there are a lot of vagrants and homeless people that were quite a nuisance. I did not feel safe outside the property.

Property itself was fine. Unfortunately it was set in an area with many homeless (which I understand) but also so many people with crack pipes in hand looking for money. On a plus side there was a police station right around the corner

This hotel was well situated for our purpose but is situated in a seedy location. There are many homeless nearby and we are incommodated by them. Not safe at night.

The initial welcome was inflexible as we had arrived early after a very long drive and was told we could not check in. The hotel was certainly not busy so could we not have been offered a room that was ready? The breakfast was extremely limited and all food was cleared away promptly at 9am even if you had arrived at 8.50 and had not had time to choose.

Smell of the hotel was not great not sure if there are issues with the ventilation but the entire place floor to floor smelled like an Indian restaurant. Curry smell everywhere. Nothing against Indian cuisine or culture but i prefer my clothes and room not to smell like food. SO I WONT BE STAYING THERE AGAIN
