Always stay at this hotel the pool is heated and the kids love it. The hot tub is a great way to relax the roof is spray foamed to its not a noisy pool area which we also like. Rooms are comfortable and quite. Always pick this hotel when we stay in truro. The breakfast has an omelet bar which is great too.

Ruby at the Front Desk was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. She offered up some great recommendations for dining in the area that resulted in some great dinner experiences that really helped to take the edge off a difficult trip. So hospitality was excellent. The property was a little bit worn but was clean and functional. The bar/restaurant was disappointing as it closed far too early. Getting back at 8pm , sitting down for a night cap and being told they were closed wasn’t the best way to end a day. Apart from that I would recommend.

The staff were very nice. The breakfast was very good. The rooms could use a refresh. They were very clean and tidy but need a new carpet . They were redoing the pool while I was there my room was overlooking the pool. It was very noisy because they did the work at night. The pressure washers were very loud. I had no view from the windows. It was the wall of the pool. I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past. I will stay again. The hotel needs an update .

Great breakfast options with omelette station. Pool was warm and inviting though the pool towels were a pretty small. Overall condition of the property was great. With only minor things like the very small elevator betraying its age. Would return.

Hotel was overpriced due to a cheer competition held nearby. 286 dollars for one night stay. Was charged $25 dollar “early check in fee” 2 hours prior despite the room being well ready in advance. I spoke with another guest staying at same hotel who informed me they did not get charged this additional fee though they checked in at pm as well. I had two children with me so they were looking forward to swimming but found out the pool and hot tub were not running and wasn’t unable to use these facilities during our stay. Not to mention there was no parking available on the lot. We had to drive around for 15-20 minutes and wait until someone left the hotel to get a parking spot. It was absolutely atrocious for the price we paid! Disappointing isn’t even the word to describe it. We have stayed in much nicer hotels with pool and slides for a fraction of the price.

Unfortunately our car was broken into overnight in your parking lot. Upgrades to your exterior lighting and motion sensors would greatly assist. Refurbished room was great.

When entering the room there was absolutely no heat , the heat and a/c was broken in the room. In the closet they have a master craft heater to use that cuts in and out. The room was extremely dirty , there was hair on the toilet paper when we first got in , stains all on the walls and the ceiling in the bathroom looked like was going to collapse from water damage. Breakfast is limited and food is almost non edible.

The restaurant was awful- service was okay but the food was really bad. They tried to update the rooms but they were run down, think visable mold in the bathroom, chipping paint on doors....you could hear laundry going thru the wall all night...we were woken up several times thru the night by other guests slamming around and stomping. Best Westerns are usually great but this one wasnt it.

The lobby was well appointed and the check in was fast. When we got to our room, we noticed ants on the desk and bureau areas. We reported it and our room was changed. The room we were moved to had no ants but the rug was wet and the floors sticky like they hadn't been rinsed very well. We just kept the room as we were tired from travelling. The best part about this BW was the breakfast where eggs were being cooked to order.

The room was dirty. I had to clean the shower before using it in the morning. The facecloth was black when I was finished. Shower faucet broken too. 2 shampoo bottles and one conditioner in the shower but no body wash. The pillows were musty smelling. The check in was rushed. Not all information given to me about breakfast, internet, facilities etc. There was no lineup for checkin.

Overall was a very good stay. The room was a bit on the small side and the bathroom was very small. Air conditioner ran all night but never really cooled the room. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating and breakfast was good.

Was very disappointed with the breakfast, we always choose hotels with breakfast so we don’t have to purchase elsewhere as it’s expensive being away for the weekend. It was very slim and gross choosing no bacon no sausage just eggs, lasagna beans, and biscuits. Leftover sweets, and a cereal bar. Not good coffee. We were outside in the motel and the Wi-Fi was not great for watching TV, etc..

The hotel seems like a decent 3-star hotel from the outside and lobby, but the rooms (we had two on the first floor) were uncomfortable. The beds and furniture were fine but there was a major issue with the humidity that the air conditioner did not take care of. The floors were constantly dank and dirty. We had one room with carpeting and one with hard floors. Your feet would stick to them and come up visibly dirty after walking just a few steps. It's the humidity but it also seemed like they used some kind of cleaning solution that leaves a tacky residue, and they don't mop regularly enough. I don't have this problem in my basement which is also pretty humid. On top of that, the sink and tubs, while they had good pressure, were both slow to drain, and the towels were old and worn. The TV had like three channels that worked. The vending machines were sold out of water. The location is central with an Irving gas station and Circle K conveniently across the street, but kind of busy. It's possible that rooms on upper floors were better, but most of the hotel is only two stories, so you can do the math on the odds of where your room would be.

The room that I was given was like a motel, and outside of my door was the parking lot. My travel colleague was in the better part of the hotel and had a much better room. My room also had a very strong cigarette smoke smell, which I did not appreciate at all. I don’t smoke and I find the smell offensive. There was a sign at the front or check-in was saying this is a smoke free environment while my room wasn’t I was not happy.

Very clean accommodations and as always an excellent breakfast buffet. Extra special mention go to Jay who checked us in, and to Sunny who was working overnight and was so kind to me in the middle of the night while I was struggling with insomnia. Also an extra mention to the very pleasant and capable gentleman who was making omelets and eggs to order, I apologize for not remembering his name. Also the very efficient and friendly lady who welcomed us to the buffet and was busy keeping the dining room clean.

Jay at the front counter when we checked in was absolutely fantastic. It has been a long time since I have seen customer service that great. Maddie in the restaurant as well had excellent customer service. Highly commend these 2 staff. They are gems worth keeping.

The hotel was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Everything was super clean. The unfortunate thing is the area surring the property. Didn't feel safe to walk after dinner to other local vendors. The taxis in town are terrible. All outdated. Truro needs Uber.

It was a typical BW except that it had a restaurant which you don’t see to often which was convenient. The room was nice and pretty clean. Bed was way too soft as I like a more firm mattress but I slept ok. Where my room was located, near the elevator and stairs, it was a bit noisy at times; my earplugs came in handy. I also was a bit annoyed with parking. On Saturday night I almost did not find a parking spot and I am a paying customer. The lot was filled with guests for a big function. I am sure others had the same issue. I thought I was going to have to park off site somewhere which would have been very inconvenient. I am not sure how you fix this but it was not a good experience. The hotel itself is nice though so just keep the parking in mind when you go out as you may not be able to find a place to park when u come back.

Great property. Breakfast was probably the best free hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Staff were the friendliest we have ever encountered as well. Property doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is a hidden gem. We stayed in the main building, not sure what the annex buildings are like. Would stay here again for sure. Honestly, probably the best 3 star stay we have ever had.

The staff were friendly and responsive. However, none of the soap dispensers in the female lobby washroom contained soap, there appeared to be some sort of animal fecal matter near the ice dispenser on the second floor, and the food at the restaurant was quite poor and yet very expensive.

My room was immaculately clean. I ate supper at the restaurant on the property and the service was excellent and very friendly, the food (just an appetizer) was hot and delicious. The included breakfast surpassed my expectations, and included an option to have eggs made to order. I definitely recommend this hotel.
