Days Inn by Wyndham Milan Sandusky South

When I booked the hotel it stated there was a gym and also showed photos. When we arrived there is a sign that shows which direction the gym is, but when we asked the front desk they confirmed there was no gym. The smell of cigarette smoke was very strong in the lobby area. We had some extremely lose outlets in our room that did not work. The power strip that was used for the refrigerator was VERY touchy and if you bumped it the fridge would shut off. A lot of dust collected around that. Other than that the beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice. Some noise but to be expected when staying at a hotel.

Nice and quiet which was my goal. The jacuzzi tub in the king suite was really awesome. The hot tub in the main area was great too,could have been a bit hotter for my taste,but over not bad . There was not a coffee maker in the room and I feel like I had read that there was but I cannot recall so I won't worry about it.

Friendly staff. Older hotel, but pretty well maintained. New hard vinyl floor in rooms, carpet in hallways. Older bathrooms. Swimming pool, but we did not look at or use it. We did see some kids who had swum. No elevator, but only 2 stories tall. Railroad nearby, but no train whistles or horn (overpass not grade-level crossing — slight rumbling of passing trains did not bother us.

Staff was super friendly. Pool area was clean with longer hours than a lot of hotels. Breakfast was a bit basic, but kept stocked through the morning. We brought our dog. It was her first hotel stay, and I think a success.

The hotel is very old. No elevator. Bathroom tub was stained. The pool had no heater for the water and was freezing.

Male employee at front desk was nice. Room was okay. No body wash in dispenser. Pool area smelled so strongly of chlorine with no ventilation. Hot tub area is very small. No game room even though sign states there is one. Found person sleeping in room off pool area, where we thought game room may have been located. Loud, obnoxious children in pool area wrestling around so couldn’t enjoy. Also, woken up in the middle of night and early with running down hallway. Okay but would never stay at again.

The Good: The staff was super friendly and overall great. Breakfast was a box standard continental breakfast offefing a variety of cereals, mini muffins, bagles, bread, oranges and banans, juice, coffee, yogurt, and condiments... A bit basic, but, will get you going if you don't feel like eating sit down or fast food once you get on the road. Pool area was maintained and functional and was open until 11pm for those who wanted to use it. Though if you have reasons for not wanting to slip and fall, fair warning, the floor gets soaked all the way to the doors. The Bad: Hotel is located literally 60 feet or less from A VERY ACTIVE RAILWAY. Hotel does NOT have an elevator despite being two stories, and the stairwells, albeit lit, are lit poorly due to their lighting design. Folks with bad eyesight may be in for trouble as the stairs are SOLID BLACK RUBBER COATED. Door to the rooms used could, unfortunately, be pushed open from the hallway if the top latch abd deadbolt were not engaged.... Had to physically pull yhe door up half an inch JUST to engage the deadbolt properly to make the door feel even slightly secured. Overall, this feels very much like an old factory worker hotel that Days Inn (or a franchisee) purchased RECENTLY(within the last year or so) and have been in the process of cleaning it up and fixing it's flaws.

No elevator one game in game room. Door would slam breakfast was horrible. Housekeeping never came to room and room was still dirty from the Guests before us trash on floor pieces of food. Also the fitness room was locked not sure if there even was any equipment in there.

Room was dirty. Large cobwebs in corners is room. I deleted the photo already but I did show it to desk when I checked out. She said yea we haven’t done our deep cleaning yet. Cobwebs should be an everyday cleaning task. Not just monthly

I booked three rooms and they all smelled like mold and mildew… The hotel stated they had breakfast but only had cereal and coffee and a total of 8 kid.. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all..

Our hotel room was possibly the worst I've ever seen. The lobby smelled like body odor and cigarettes, our room was dirty and the air conditioner was leaking. They had a towel underneath it catching the water, the manager said it had been there over the weekend. It was so saturated water was leaking onto the floor, it was a mold hazard with my 9 month old and 8 year old in the room. The pack and play was filthy and smelled like rotten vomit, the bed had crumbs in it, the floor was so sticky our feet made a sound as we walked around. We expressed our concerns to the manager and she wrote us off with multiple excuses. We paid $876 and stayed one night before leaving, they refused us a refund.

The bathroom was dirty. There was hair in the sink on the counter, and in the tub. The tub was dirty. There was some pink stuff smeared on the counter. Floor dirty. Hand towel was wrinkled and on counter. Room did not smell good.

Saw a nice size roach in the breakfast area. Found someone elses clothes left in the room so it wasnt thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Couldnt get the tv to work. It wouldnt connect to the internet.

Room was dingy and smelled of mold and ammonia. Bathroom seemed to be spot cleaned rather than entirely with hair in the crevices of the toilet and dust balls under the sink. We also found mold in one of the drawers on the night stand like someone hid food and no one checked to clear it out

Room was one of the dirtiest rooms. Light fixtures were very dirty on the bases. Bathroom floor was filthy behind toilet. Bathtub was moldy or just very dirty along the wall. If picures could be posted I would have.

My room was nasty… had a roach in the light fixture above the bed. They didn’t bother cleaning out the fridge from the last guest stay… the lamp had old stains on it and so did the walls. The tv didn’t work either couldn’t put on nick or Disney Channel because it wasn’t offered just basic tv channels wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

Rug in the entry area was in need of a good cleaning. Breakfast was just okay. It was a decent stay for a great price!!!

Two negative issues. Parking lot needs to be repaved. A lot of loose asphalt & gravel around. Very dangerous for Motorcycles and it's Ohio Bike Week. The room had a bad light switch in the bathroom, I had to wiggle the switch around to get the light to turn on The free breakfast was awesome and their choice of coffee brand was top notch. Very good

The bed was very firm

The room was humid and smelled dank, though it seemed clean. The railroad track is right behind the hotel so our room was loud.The shower was nice.

The motel is 30 yards from the train tracks. At least four trains passed by in the middle of the night.

AC made lots of noise. No deadbolt on door (had been broken off and was dangling inoperable). Several electric outlets didn’t work or were too loose to hold an adapter. Tub in bathroom was dirty. Hair dryer was broken and hazardous.

The person at the front desk continued a non-work-related conversation while I stood there and waited for her to wrap it up. I asked for early check-in and was told it would cost an additional $35. I have never been told that before and I've stayed in all kinds of hotels across the country. The facility was not as nice as advertised. You can hear everything in adjacent and the rooms upstairs. It worked for the one night but I would not stay here again.

First the negative: The place is very outdated, 2 of the beds had huge dips in the center of the mattresses that were very visible and the linen were all visibly stained just from walking into the room you could see the stains on the white covers. The good: The attendant at the service desk was very understanding and accomodating. He was nice and even brought us extra towels and washcloths! The room was very very big and didn’t make us feel cramped up or that we were walking all over each other (there were 3 adults with 5 children). A great hightlight was the bathroom had 2 showers with double sinks so which made showering and brushing our teeth a breeze! If you're looking for a quick stay without high expectations this would be a cool place to layover until morning to hop back on the road!

NOT MUCH. BROKEN FAUCET HANDLE ON SINK. EXHAUST FAN NOT WORKING . HAIR DRYER BROKEN. VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP IN BATHROOM TRIM. BATHROOM FLOOR AND WALLS VERY DIRTY. ROOM PHONE NOT OPERABLE .ROOM KEYS BARELY WORKED .I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN EVER .

We tried to cancel our reservation a week in advance through hotels.com and didn’t get a response about a refund. I called the hotel itself and they told me I had to deal with hotels.com because that is how I booked it. We didn’t end up needing the room due to an emergency and our trip being canceled but did not get a refund. Poor customer service from the hotel and hotels.com. My husband uses this hotel often when doing fishing charters on the lake. I think we will look for another one who is a bit more understanding and prompt with customer service.

The front desk clerk, forgot his first name, Mr. Coffey, was the most pleasant, accommodating and welcoming person we’ve come across in our travels. My husband and I travel often, stay in a hotel over 30 nights a year, and we’ve never met anyone more friendly than him.

Great place to stay that is not too far from Cedar Point. The staff member on duty went above and beyond, and even let me use her laundry detergent to do a quick load of clothes! I would stay here again.

This was easily the worst hotel i have ever spent my time and money on. The first impression walking into the lobby we were greeted with a terrible stench of cigarettes and mildew. When we checked in we were greeted with no one at the desk. They had a button to press for assitence, when pressed we waited roughly 5-10 minutes for someone to show up. When we were greeted by the receptionist it was a very unpleasant interaction. She was very cold and rude. When we were given the key to our room, we were once again met with a terrible stench of cigarettes and mildew. The room was very dirty, visible dirt on the lap shade, scum on the night stands, a dirty bathroom, and much more. The AC unit was loud and did not work well. There is a train that goes right behind the hotel roughly every 30 mintues, making it hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. The beds are also extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows were rock hard. The hotel did offer a free breakfast, but there was not hot breakfast choices. With what extremely limited options we did have, the juice machine was broken, and the food was just mini pastries from walmart. The pastries were also extremely stale, and tasted like dust and cigarettes. Mind you this is a no smoking hotel. When we would go outside it would smell ot cigarettes and urine. Overall a very unpleaset experience and not worth my 200 dollars.

We arrived 30 minutes before Check-in and we're told it would be a $35 fee if we wanted to Check-in now on a Thursday afternoon with 0 cars in the parking lot, while in the same breath telling us our room was ready but it's not time yet. There was pizza on the bed skirt.And when moving around furniture to make it more comfortable.It was very clear that it had not been vacuum.We always bring our own cleaning supplies to a hotel room.But this required way more effort than it should have to get it clean enough to be comfortable. No elevator to the second floor only one luggage card which was never available and breakfast was minimal. Plenty of other hotels in the area that probably have better accommodations.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We made a mistake and booked wrong night, but they fixed it for us. Tv did not work in room, but they moved us to one that did.

everything was fine. good deal for the money. about 15 minutes away from cedar point (and pretty much a straight shot) they had breakfast food available but it wasn't a continental breakfast (but that's okay, they didn't advertise it as continental). good deal for the money. friendly staff

First and foremost, the property didn’t have an elevator! We are on a long road trip with our dogs and have a lot of stuff to lug into hotel rooms each night. This was so inconvenient and such a huge pain. The nonsmoking room reeked of smoke. It felt so unclean I slept on top of the covers for fear of bed bugs. It’s also directly across from a grain mill where freight trains are running all night long. We were just passing through but I would not recommend.

The property and area is clearly rundown, but I love the convenience, not being too close to Cedar Point. Also, a 10 minute ride to restaurants really was not that bad.

Train tracks could here every noise

The motel is 30 yards from the train tracks. At least four trains passed by in the middle of the night.

its so convenient to Interstate 90 and Cedar point. Pet friendly is a big bonus too. Great place to rest for the weary long driven traveller

There’s a train that goes by every couple hours, and it literally shook our room everytime. Ridiculous!!!! All through the night while we were sleeping. Everything else was great, but wasn’t expecting the train.

Lots of options for eating and right off the Interstate so very convenient

Room wasn't cleaned very well, sheets and blankets had stains. Pool and hot tub were falling apart. Continental Breakfast was only cereal and nothing else. Staff was great.

It was pretty nice, but I wish it would of had hot breakfast

The staff was nice, breakfast was coffee, tea, juices, bagels, pastries, yogurt & cereal. The room being dirty made me not want to eat the breakfast! Our sheets clearly werent changed we had chocolate on them it was the first thing I noticed when I sat on the bed! So we pulled the sheets back and more chocolate smears and crumbs! We got clean sheets from the desk and changed our sheets! The toilet was so obviously dirty we didnt sit on it! They don't give a f@#k at this hotel!. My husband and son hated the hotel and took me off hotel reservation duty because of this one lol.They also have no elevator if needed! But NO ONE should be staying here more than 2 days!! We almost just went home the second night but didn't feel like taking the 3 hr drive so we stuck it out. It will be our first and last time at this hotel!

Guy didnt open breakfast untill he woke up at 8-9 lol then closed it at 9:30-10:00 people that work there also live there just felt a lil un safe leaving my belongings no fresh towels when i asked they said cleaning crew didnt show up that whole week i was there just very poor customer service only half the breakfast is available no waffles very little milk stale cereal old muffins lol

The breakfast was laking...need eggs and sausage...

The Breakfast was not good

upside the bed was comfortable and soft bathroom extremely small and no water pressure in a shower entry light didnt want to come back on after shut off and was dirty. For the price of a room breakfast was pitiful bagel toast muffing cereal in really not a selection to say the least not impressed at all second time i gave days inn a try will not do it again
