Nothing unique about the property very dissatisfied a few things number one with the fact I am charged full rates and I can't utilize the amenities that I am told are available on the property prior to me booking being one reason I chose this hotel in the first place. I was infuriated when i asked about the pool and was told that a company was paying to use the pool area and that paying customers would not be granted or permitted access. Not to mention from arrival to after 1am the lobby was extremely crowded with your customers who were unnervingly loud as well as shamelessly displaying distasteful behaviors and inappropriate conversation for public. the worst part of all of this there was absolutely no action to cease these behaviors displayed by your front desk staff. More than likely I will not be booking again nor recommending.

In addition, our room came with breakfast for 2 (paid additional for this service) yet I was charged at the counter despite mentioning this to woman behind counter - she completely ignored me. Lets just say I won't stay there again, nor would I recommend this hotel. The bed comfort was marginal at best.

The pool is closed, noticed this issue with most Marriotts since COVID. Staff was great, hall carpets grimy. Since I booked 3rd party, would not give me rewards points. Probably will not book Marriott in the future.

The hotel's front desk was pleasing and respectful. The only unpleasing thing I discovered in our room was a cereal fruitloop in the chair. This signaled that the room wasn't cleaned perfectly and had me questioning the cleanliness of our room.

The rooms were ok. When we walked into our room there were crushed peanuts on the floor. My daughter has a slight allergy to them so we quickly cleaned them up. The rest of the room was very clean and neat. They offered a small fridge, personal coffee maker ,(The coffee cup lids did not fit the cups. I know that sounds petty but when your traveling coffee matters.) That being said it was quiet and our family took a long walk around the area. It has cute shops and the area was very dog friendly! Food prices were a bit higher and we felt not a lot was offered for family meals at the restaurant. They do have a vending area on the first floor. (Our floor had no ice machine, but it seems like they will be adding one. There was an area labeled vending but it was empty.) However the vending area on the first floor only has one microwave and most items took 5 to 6 minutes to cook, so eating together would be tricky. The surrounding area offers more food options, so if you don't mind leaving the hotel you will find other options. All together it was nice but i will be seaking other accommodations our next trip down.

We like to get a hotel room at this property because it is one walkable block from our relative when we come to visit. That said, because we booked through Expedia (and not directly through Marriott) when we checked in they gave us the worst/most noisy room they could have given us which was right off the elevator, next to the ice machine, and a shared door with the room next door with very noisy, inconsiderate neighbors (loud conversations at 5AM).

My room was very clean and comfortable, and I especially appreciated the blackout curtains for a great night’s sleep. The location was excellent, within walking distance to plenty of dining options and conveniently close to the people I was visiting. Overall, a great stay.

The ac did not work well. There needs to be a fan in the bathroom & the door won’t stay open on its own. The in room coffee is very weak and we had to ask for more than one packet every day.

The service at this Courtyard Marriott was just okay, and the staff was rude. We have been members of Marriott Bonvoy for over 10 years and have stayed at many Marriott Courtyards, where we usually receive two bottles of drinking water each day. However, at this location, we had to ask for coffee, towels, and other essentials. In contrast, during our recent trip to Vietnam, even the boutique hotel staff provided us with excellent service. We never had to request drinking water or coffee in our room, even though we opted not to have our room cleaned. Coffee and water were always available in our room after we returned from our daily tours. Based on this experience, I will not return to this Marriott Courtyard location.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Bar and desk staff were very friendly. Only one block to metro station and across the street from Harris Teeter, Starbucks, and several restaurants. No issue finding parking. Would definitely stay here again. Very safe area with residential condos surrounding.

We used this as our anchor point for visiting DC. It was extremely easy to get to from Virginia Beach, there is a Harris Teeter grocery store across the street and ample parking was only $5 per day. We found a great little coffee shop (Simply Social) nearby also with ample parking and delicious fresh cooked breakfast. Breakfast in the hotel was made to order as well as some pastries, fresh coffee and tea though it is not included in your stay, it was reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and it was quiet, we stayed Friday and Saturday. Pay attention to availability of metro, the schedule is different for weekends. The beds were a bit soft for our taste and the shower's water pressure a bit light for us but overall, we would consider this location on a return visit. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Just a note, the parking garage has height limitations 6'8", but they do have an alternative if your vehicle is taller than that.

Great location; metro to DC a block away, plenty of restaurants to choose from. On site-cafe was expensive and room coffee not too great. Staff was great. Had a balcony but no chairs out there. Drove a sprinter van so good that there was some outside parking (doesn't fit in garage).
