Great place to stay. Throughly enjoyed our 3 day trip with our dog. Right in the heart of Corsham which is a delightful village. Cannot praise the lovely staff highly enough - friendly, helpful and happy. This venue is run extremely well we would happily revisit. Breakfasts are excellent with locally sourced produce.

The hotel operates as a bar, restaurant and hotel. Thats great for most custoners as it means one single place for eveything. Unfortunately if you are traveling for business and need to get some decent sleep i would recommend you stay clear. They have a lovely outdoor beer garden which means very loud noise which progressively gets lounder until 11.30pm. If like me you stay in room 19 or 20 you will absloutly hear eveything. The hotel is clearly aware of this issue as they provide earplugs... they dont help. First review of a hotel ever; this year i have stayed in 45 different hotels across uk and this is by far the worst. The room was lovely and cosy and beyond exemplary just, the noise really did let this place down.

The property is beautiful, a glimpse back into Georgian times with period pieces and interesting artwork. Our bedroom was stunning with 4 poster bed, roll top bath and a rainfall shower. Lovely luxury toiletries too. Lighting was very dim though, with no overhead central light, so it was a struggle to see the mini bar and facilities in the wardrobe, and made it difficult to read. At dinner, which was pretty good, most of the food locally sourced and plenty of carbon neutral drinks, sadly our server didn't know much about the menu at all and seemed new to dinner service, probably nothing some staff training couldn't solve.

following the Hotels.com information I thought I was booking a fine country hotel but found a friendly if understaffed pub. Room was fine and food was great, just nothing like my expectations. Stuff for generally friendly except in the bar where is it disinterested bar staff soured the Experience.

We booked a Premium room and we were really happy with it. Large spacious room with four poster style bed, large bathroom with freestanding bath. Classy contemporary decor, good tea/coffee amenities. We booked dinner outside in the garden, great food. Cooked breakfast was included with the room, cooked to order and piping hot. Would recommend and return.

Hotel of this rating should provide secure storage in room. Servicing of rooms good except cafetière was not clean on arrival. Car park surface leads to dusty environment. Lack of choice of breads at breakfast. Only Sour Dough available should have white and brown especially for toast. No fresh fruit or cereal available at Breakfast. Breakfast order (porridge) incorrectly prepared in kitchen 3 of the 4 mornings. Waitress dealt with this very well. Full English sausage dry - hash browns good. We live on a busy road but other people would find Room 2 noisy especially with the window open. Maybe triple glaze windows.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, service was excellent. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. Our bathroom could of done with a touch up, although very nice, paint was peeling which you come to expect with an old building and the shower was slow to drain.

The property is on a main street so the rooms facing the Main Street could be noisy at times. We picked a premium room. The room we were in was clean but there was an old leak in the ceiling that was not repaired. The wall paper was discolored and peeled off the wall where the leak was. The bathroom was clean and large in the room we stayed. The gardens and the outdoor space were very nice and the staff were friendly. There was only one set of towels in the room and it took a couple of tries to get a second set. I forgot my phone charger adapter and the person at the desk lent me his. The bar area was clean and nice but basic. The breakfast was fine. It is close to the main area of the town.

I was very disappointed at this hotel. Being a gold VIP Expedia member, I was expecting a better service from the woman in reception. She did not explain or said anything regarding the perks and the free breakfast that came with our stay. The room almost smell like an old man has been staying there for weeks. The toilet bowl had SKID MARKS in them!! You'd think they would have cleaned this. My pregnant wife did not enjoy the experience. This is by far the worst VIP Expedia hotel we've stayed at. One thing that we really liked was the food in the restaurant and the breakfast. Hence, the 2 stars.

Lovely room, quiet and comfortable. Only gripe would be that the shampoo was attached to wall of shower so even though there was a bottle of conditioner it was hard to wash hair in the bath. Really enjoyed our visit

Terrific! We stayed in Room 1 where everything had been so carefully created. The coffee percolator supplied with fresh coffee and milk, the cookies and water were great ideas. The bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower was spacious and had soft white towels. We ate a delicious meal in the evening and slept well afterwards on the large, comfy bed. The staff were welcoming, kind and informative. Thank you for a super stay.

We had an overnight stay in room 8, the room was a good size and lovely big bed, sadly the sash windows couldn’t be opened, the room was very hot which led to an uncomfortable nights sleep. We had breakfast in the morning before leaving earlier than we would have liked too, but with the sun beaming into the room and it already being so hot we chose to leave as was too hot to be comfortable. if the establishment address the issue with the windows, apart from requiring a fridge to keep milk cold in all room the place it would have been top notch, its a little pricy for essentially what is a room in a pub, but convenient for exploring the local area.

The hotel was nice and clean the staff were friendly. The issue was we booked with Expedia on the VIP tier and we received none of those benefits, which I thought was poor, I also think with the amount we paid the standard should have been a lot higher, at £200 a night you'd expect the very best, if the price wasn't as high as it was my review would have most likely been higher, but this is not a hotel that is worth £200 a night, there are cheaper hotels in the area which would offer you the same sort of standard in the room etc

Great place to stay. Throughly enjoyed our 3 day trip with our dog. Right in the heart of Corsham which is a delightful village. Cannot praise the lovely staff highly enough - friendly, helpful and happy. This venue is run extremely well we would happily revisit. Breakfasts are excellent with locally sourced produce.

We pulled into the hotel after a long flight with a rental car not working properly. Rose was at the reception reception desk and was very busy with guests. She is so good at her job, getting guests through properly and quickly. She went out of her way to assist us and make sure we had a nice ending to a stressful day. It was much appreciated. Thanks Rose!

Great 2 night stay for a work visit. Staff are super friendly and offered a very warm welcome on arrival. The food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast offered a great choice. Room was comfortable too. A great little stay

I was very disappointed at this hotel. Being a gold VIP Expedia member, I was expecting a better service from the woman in reception. She did not explain or said anything regarding the perks and the free breakfast that came with our stay. The room almost smell like an old man has been staying there for weeks. The toilet bowl had SKID MARKS in them!! You'd think they would have cleaned this. My pregnant wife did not enjoy the experience. This is by far the worst VIP Expedia hotel we've stayed at. One thing that we really liked was the food in the restaurant and the breakfast. Hence, the 2 stars.

The bedrooms have good facilities which adds to comfort, ie comfortable bed, Roberts radio, iron and ironing board, cafetière for your coffee as well as choice of teas. Large bathroom with good shower which was powerful and hot. We had dinner at the hotel and even though the food was okay, the service was slow. The staff were very apologetic but there were large parties in for dining and there are not enough waiting staff to cope.

following the Hotels.com information I thought I was booking a fine country hotel but found a friendly if understaffed pub. Room was fine and food was great, just nothing like my expectations. Stuff for generally friendly except in the bar where is it disinterested bar staff soured the Experience.

the kitchen ventilation was located right outside/below the room. Quite the noise and course of the day/night the temprature was increased and light smell of food came into the room. impossible to sleep if you are light on noise, heat and smell! We asked for another room, however, the hotel was fully booked and not possible to change rooms. The manager deducted 100 pound plus a bottle of prosecco without us asking for it. but we still feel that upon ordering you should get a choice of room, or be well informed about the downside of this particular room! and the rate of the room should have been much much less than charged! the manager promised to shut down the ventiation early as possible and turn it on as late as possible... but the last night the ventilation was on the hole night... and the service at breakfast was not the best! besides this the hotel was a nice place to be...

The property is on a main street so the rooms facing the Main Street could be noisy at times. We picked a premium room. The room we were in was clean but there was an old leak in the ceiling that was not repaired. The wall paper was discolored and peeled off the wall where the leak was. The bathroom was clean and large in the room we stayed. The gardens and the outdoor space were very nice and the staff were friendly. There was only one set of towels in the room and it took a couple of tries to get a second set. I forgot my phone charger adapter and the person at the desk lent me his. The bar area was clean and nice but basic. The breakfast was fine. It is close to the main area of the town.

Really loved our stay here! The hotel is beautifully decorated, the room was comfortable and spacious, great food, lovely variety of dining spaces. The dog was welcomed and it was fantastic to be so close to Corsham park for walks. Will be back!

A beautiful property in the centre of Corsham. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and I loved the bedroom and beautiful bath. A perfect place to escape to for a couple of days. Corsham itself was quiet, I think more due to the bad weather, but lots of places to visit nearby.

Staff friendly and helpful on reception and in dining room. Close to amenities in town. Cost of food high. Good outdoor space for relaxation. Room safes didn't work although they were present. Hotel of this rating should provide secure storage in room. Servicing of rooms good except cafetière was not clean on arrival. Car park surface leads to dusty environment. Lack of choice of breads at breakfast. Only Sour Dough available should have white and brown especially for toast. No fresh fruit or cereal available at Breakfast. Breakfast order (porridge) incorrectly prepared in kitchen 3 of the 4 mornings. Waitress dealt with this very well. Full English sausage dry - hash browns good. We live on a busy road but other people would find Room 2 noisy especially with the window open. Maybe triple glaze windows.

Everything was fantastic! Will definitely be back! The breakfast menu and dinner menu were amazing! They have great chefs! The service, the room etc was top notch! The little village of Corsham is a delight. A wonderful place for a getaway.

We booked a Premium room and we were really happy with it. Large spacious room with four poster style bed, large bathroom with freestanding bath. Classy contemporary decor, good tea/coffee amenities. We booked dinner outside in the garden, great food. Cooked breakfast was included with the room, cooked to order and piping hot. Would recommend and return.

I booked this place whilst travelling for a work. Marked as ‘luxury’ by hotels.com but it was anything but! Upon arrival I was greeted by a rude and unbothered staff member - gave 0 information, didn’t talk to us about breakfast or even show us where our room was (which was in the courtyard) & then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay for the room again, despite already paying via hotels.com - she said to take it up with them. The room was okay - bed was nice but for the price of a country hotel I expected better bedding etc. There were stickers and notes on several things saying ‘do not take home with you’ which again didn’t say ‘luxury’ to me haha. The room was a little tired with paint chips and marks but added to the character a little. Dinner was tasty - we had the vegan pasta and the menu had some great vegan options for us which is rare when travelling. We were given a voucher for 2 free drinks which were house wine, beer, prosecco or a soft drink. We used it during dinner to find out that peach iced tea isn’t classed in their soft drinks which was a bit frustrating. Post-dinner we had a margarita and espresso martini. The espresso martini was one of the worst I’ve ever had! Later I realised that they had mentioned turning off their coffee machine to us mid way through dinner & instead of explaining this when we ordered an espresso martini - they just made it without the espresso!! Breakfast was tasty :) Overall, disappointing stay and wouldn’t return

The hotel and staff are wonderful. Their restaurant is fantastic and the town is beautiful. So much attention to detail and the food easily rivals the best in London. You will not regret spending time in this wonderful hotel.
