Lovely modern hotel, with a very friendly and helpful team. Really nice pool/spa areas and a choice of pools for adults! One minor gripe the sauna on ground floor not really/hot working on either day. Had dinner in the restaurant also which was great, as was breakfast. Will stay again if we get the opportunity. Thanks.

Super schönes Design, unglaublich leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet, bei dem fast keine Wünsche offen bleiben. Abendessen ist á la carte im Restaurant möglich, auch hier war die Qualität der Speisen gut, jedoch auch nicht gerade günstig. Der Wellness- & Pool-Bereich sind sehr stylisch und modern, die Zimmer schön und geräumig. Wir fanden es super, dass man kostenfrei die Fahrräder vom Hotel ausleihen kann. Das einzige Manko für uns war, dass das Hotel wirklich direkt an einer sehr befahrenen Bundesstraße liegt und selbst in der Nacht ist es ziemlich laut durch vorbeifahrende Autos. Lärmempfindlich sollte man also nicht sein. Alles in allem würde ich das Hotel aber dennoch weiter empfehlen.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr netten Mitarbeitern. Wir konnten uns „kostenlos“ Fahrräder ausleihen, um z.B. nach Salzburg zu fahren. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr umfangreich und lecker. Wir hatten echt drei sehr schöne Tage im Hotel Gerl. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder!

Gerl Hotel is a place not only to sleep while travelling but to spend time in the hotel as well. It has a great resturant and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide variety of dishes. Shame the main spa (which is spectacular) opens only at 11:00 and closes at 20:00.

Der Hotenaufenthalt war super schön. Sowohl der schöne gepflegte Spa-Bereich, das sehr gute Essen als auch das Personal war rundum perfekt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der wunderschöne Infinity-Pool und die Panorama Sauna. Einziges kleines Manko ist die Hauptstraße an der das Hotel gelegen ist (bei geschlossenem Fenster jedoch nicht zu hören).

Also die Poolanlage im Garten ist sehr gemütlich die Wassertemparatur eine perfekte Abkühlung. Die Beachbar ist sehr cool aber auch etwas überfüllt. Das Restaraunt ist sehr sehr lecker mit viel Auswahl an Essen, das einzige was man vielleicht ändern das man im Gastgarten ein par kleinere Tische für 2-3 Personen zur Verfügung hat ansonsten "TOP".

From entering into the reception the staff makes you feel welcome and appreciated. All staff members greet you when passing them in the lobby, corridor, or elsewhere. My room was big, and had direct access to the terrace; and the upkeep and cleanliness was perfect. The pool and spa area is an attraction in itself; and it has as well an indoor as an outdoor pool. The gym is well-equipped also, and the atmosphere is nice. This is definitely my go-to place when I am visiting customers in the Salzburg area. It would be nice if the gym would open a little earlier - 8am is too late. But fortunately the weather was ok for running - there is a nice trail along the Saalach river.

A great stay. Lovely spacious room and food delicious. However chewing gum stuck to top of bed and a used robe in the room. Asked hotel staff twice about buses before a third time when I was offered a free guest pass for use on buses. This should be automatically given on arrival. Hotels.com did not allow booking of a child and I did not realise they count children as adults so faced another 90 Euro per night charge.

Im Großen und Ganzen ein super Hotel. Die Anlage sehr modern gestaltet und alle MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich. Das Economy Doppelzimmer war sehr klein und schon etwas runtergekommen. Leider wurde das Zimmer nicht täglich gereinigt. Lediglich Handtücher wurden ausgetauscht.

Staff was friendly, rooms were nice and clean. Great breakfast and the amenities were a nice perk. We found some cute restaurants around the area and you can't beat the view. Our only complaint was the bathroom sink was kind of annoying as it seemed more for appearance than function (there was little room for the water to actually go).

This hotel has the smallest and most inconvenient room layout of all the 4 star hotels we had stayed in. We had a room with a bathtub and it was impossible to shower in it without getting injuried because it was so narrow and small even for a kid. The vanity sink was also narrow and didn't offer much of a space either. The hotel was full of flies. We noticed the flies were busy eating breakfast when we arrived for breakfast every single day.

i loved everything about it, the staff, food, interior, location, expect cleanance there was too much spiders like they never clean the room at all ,the kitchen & fridge also was to much dirty and dead insects inside , i asked them to deep clean once i arrived and the reception was very nice they sent the housekeeping to clean it again but unfortunately nothing changed they clean randomly and just arranging without deep cleaning

Mussten noch warten bei der Ankunft,weil die Bänder aus Papier noch nicht im Kuvert waren für den view Club. Haben ein Glas Sekt aufs Haus bekommen, aber hat 1,5h gedauert. Sind dann aufs Zimmer. Wären lieber davor in die Sauna gegangen. Leider nichts erklärt worden. Zimmer hat gestunken bei der Ankunft, Jalousien kaputt, sodass man nicht lüften konnte. Rezension vom Vorgänger noch am Tisch, Klo verstopft. 3 Mal an der Rezeption Bescheid gegeben und wollten beim 3ten Mal Zimmer wechseln - hat gerade keine Zeit. Über 2h im Zimmer gewartet. Die Veranstaltung hatte nichts zu bieten. 45€ haben die Tagesgäste dafür bezahlt. Dj war enttäuschend. Box war dann so leise, dass man nicht wusste ist sie kaputt, oder ist die Veranstaltung aus und und… sehr schade. Super stilvolles Hotel und wären gerne öfters gekommen am Tag und auch zur Übernachtung, da meinen Freundin in der Nähe wohnt und wir gerne am Wochenende im Hotel schlafen. Es war dem Personal auch ziemlich egal alles. Für 200€ aufwärts sehr enttäuschend. Haben sowas noch nie erlebt und schon in sehr vielen Hotels geschlafen. E tut ihnen auch nicht einmal leid. Man ist einfach eine Nummer. Kommt ja e wieder jemand neues. Nur spricht sich das rum und bei unseren Bekannten konnten wir keine Werbung machen, die dann auch gekommen wären.

Really lovely hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. We ate in restaurant one night and that was very good. Indoor and outdoor pool were brilliant for our kids. Rooms were comfortable with everything you could need. Breakfast had an excellent selection of food.

Adequate words fail me to describe my delightful experience at the Gerl. By far, the best hotel experience I’ve ever had in Salzburg. I selected the two-room suite for our family; and the king-bed rooms were spacious. Don’t shy away from dining at the Gerl. The breakfast spread was delectable . This world traveler found their Thai Red Curry the best ever. Yes, you read that correctly. The best ever red curry in Salzburg, Austria. There is a laundry room an available for guests. Adequate words fail me to describe my delightful experience at the Gerl. By far, the best hotel experience I’ve ever had in Salzburg. I selected the two-room suite for our family; and the king-bed rooms were spacious. Don’t shy away from dining at the Gerl. The breakfast spread was delectable . This world traveler found their Thai Red Curry the best ever. Yes, you read that correctly. The best ever red curry in Salzburg, Austria. There is a laundry room an available for guests. The Gerl will be my home away from home on my next visit to Salzburg.

A modern and beautifully decorated hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant provided a large range of options for breakfast and we enjoyed two dinners there as well. The dinner menu was competitively priced and the meal portions were substantial. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre which was our preference as we were visiting areas away from the city. We think this added to the quiet atmosphere. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

This hotel has the smallest and most inconvenient room layout of all the 4 star hotels we had stayed in. We had a room with a bathtub and it was impossible to shower in it without getting injuried because it was so narrow and small even for a kid. The vanity sink was also narrow and didn't offer much of a space either. The hotel was full of flies. We noticed the flies were busy eating breakfast when we arrived for breakfast every single day.

Heel mooi sfeervol hotel. Vriendelijk personeel en ontvangst met een glas prosecco. Wij hadden een superior kamer in de questhouse (nr 81). Mooie kamer met leuk uitzicht op het zwembad en de bergen. Wel een drukke weg langs het hotel. Hiervan geen hinder bij het slapen met de deur dicht. Geen apart toilet, dat is wel ongemakkelijk. Prima bedden. Diner was erg goed. We konden Aken nog voor 18u en 20:30u reserveren. Echter zaten we als enigen om 18u, om 18:30u en 19u steden er nog 2 tafeltjes bezet. Erg jammer dat we niet gewoon om 19u hadden kunnen eten(waarom niet??), dan hadden de kinderen nog wat langer kunnen zwemmen na de lange reis. Porties groot, hadden we dat geweten dan hadden we het voorgerecht waarschijnlijk overgeslagen :-). Ontbijt ook erg goed en uitgebreid. Drankjes wel erg prijzig. Cola 0,33ml €4,80. Glas witte wijn en 1 gin tonic €23. Erg positief dus, met enkele kanttekeningen ;-)

My room was big, and had direct access to the terrace; and the upkeep and cleanliness was perfect. The pool and spa area is an attraction in itself; and it has as well an indoor as an outdoor pool. The gym is well-equipped also, and the atmosphere is nice. This is definitely my go-to place when I am visiting customers in the Salzburg area. Very hip, upscale property-out in the country! About 15-20 minutes from downtown Salzburg. Plenty of free parking. We checked in early and they placed our luggage adjacent to the front desk-we didn’t feel like it was secure so took out some of our electronics to keep with us. Not happy with that. The beds were very comfortable, but the toilet and shower are in the middle of the room, built behind frosted glass so very little privacy. The breakfast was a beautiful buffet of meats, cheeses, breads, fruits, veggies and cereals. We enjoyed our stay here, despite the disappointing check in!

Hotel Gerl far surpassed my expectations and my family’s. The staff, food, amenities, rooms and food was all perfect! My kids are asking when we are coming back and I know it’s going to be soon thanks to how great they treated us.

Mussten noch warten bei der Ankunft,weil die Bänder aus Papier noch nicht im Kuvert waren für den view Club. Haben ein Glas Sekt aufs Haus bekommen, aber hat 1,5h gedauert. Sind dann aufs Zimmer. Wären lieber davor in die Sauna gegangen. Leider nichts erklärt worden. Zimmer hat gestunken bei der Ankunft, Jalousien kaputt, sodass man nicht lüften konnte. Rezension vom Vorgänger noch am Tisch, Klo verstopft. 3 Mal an der Rezeption Bescheid gegeben und wollten beim 3ten Mal Zimmer wechseln - hat gerade keine Zeit. Über 2h im Zimmer gewartet. Die Veranstaltung hatte nichts zu bieten. 45€ haben die Tagesgäste dafür bezahlt. Dj war enttäuschend. Box war dann so leise, dass man nicht wusste ist sie kaputt, oder ist die Veranstaltung aus und und… sehr schade. Super stilvolles Hotel und wären gerne öfters gekommen am Tag und auch zur Übernachtung, da meinen Freundin in der Nähe wohnt und wir gerne am Wochenende im Hotel schlafen. Es war dem Personal auch ziemlich egal alles. Für 200€ aufwärts sehr enttäuschend. Haben sowas noch nie erlebt und schon in sehr vielen Hotels geschlafen. E tut ihnen auch nicht einmal leid. Man ist einfach eine Nummer. Kommt ja e wieder jemand neues. Nur spricht sich das rum und bei unseren Bekannten konnten wir keine Werbung machen, die dann auch gekommen wären.

Very beautiful hotel, with an amazing restaurant and great atmosphere. On the weekends there is a DJ playing by the pool, which can lead to some noise. Also the hotel is right next to a street, so there is some noise coming from the cars driving by. All in all it is still a great hotel and I would definitely recommend a stay.

A lovely property with nice rooms, various spa services, easy parking, minutes from central Salzburg and with great views of surrounding mountains. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast bufet was varied and well stocked. Our overall experience was very comfortable and as we expected.

Das Hotel Gerl ist perfekt für Urlaub, Skifahren, Shopping und Kultur Erlebnis. Es liegt paar Kilometer von Flughafen Salzburg und 5 Auto min. Hervorragend. Ein sehr schönes Konzept. Waren 1 Woche als Familie mit zwei Kleinkindern da. Ehrlich gesagt anfangs skeptisch, durch die doch recht jungen Gäste. Hat sich aber Gott sei Dank durch die getrennten Wellnessbereiche doch aufgehoben. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Frühstück ein Traum. Tolle Lage. Salzburg 10 Minuten, Skigebiet ca. 60 Minuten. Wir kommen wieder.....

Really lovely hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. We ate in restaurant one night and that was very good. Indoor and outdoor pool were brilliant for our kids. Rooms were comfortable with everything you could need. Breakfast had an excellent selection of food.

Lovely modern hotel, with a very friendly and helpful team. Really nice pool/spa areas and a choice of pools for adults! One minor gripe the sauna on ground floor not really/hot working on either day. Had dinner in the restaurant also which was great, as was breakfast. Will stay again if we get the opportunity. Thanks.

A modern and beautifully decorated hotel. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant provided a large range of options for breakfast and we enjoyed two dinners there as well. The dinner menu was competitively priced and the meal portions were substantial. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city centre which was our preference as we were visiting areas away from the city. We think this added to the quiet atmosphere. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Super schönes Design, unglaublich leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet, bei dem fast keine Wünsche offen bleiben. Abendessen ist á la carte im Restaurant möglich, auch hier war die Qualität der Speisen gut, jedoch auch nicht gerade günstig. Der Wellness- & Pool-Bereich sind sehr stylisch und modern, die Zimmer schön und geräumig. Wir fanden es super, dass man kostenfrei die Fahrräder vom Hotel ausleihen kann. Das einzige Manko für uns war, dass das Hotel wirklich direkt an einer sehr befahrenen Bundesstraße liegt und selbst in der Nacht ist es ziemlich laut durch vorbeifahrende Autos. Lärmempfindlich sollte man also nicht sein. Alles in allem würde ich das Hotel aber dennoch weiter empfehlen.

Heel mooi sfeervol hotel. Vriendelijk personeel en ontvangst met een glas prosecco. Wij hadden een superior kamer in de questhouse (nr 81). Mooie kamer met leuk uitzicht op het zwembad en de bergen. Wel een drukke weg langs het hotel. Hiervan geen hinder bij het slapen met de deur dicht. Geen apart toilet, dat is wel ongemakkelijk. Prima bedden. Diner was erg goed. We konden Aken nog voor 18u en 20:30u reserveren. Echter zaten we als enigen om 18u, om 18:30u en 19u steden er nog 2 tafeltjes bezet. Erg jammer dat we niet gewoon om 19u hadden kunnen eten(waarom niet??), dan hadden de kinderen nog wat langer kunnen zwemmen na de lange reis. Porties groot, hadden we dat geweten dan hadden we het voorgerecht waarschijnlijk overgeslagen :-). Ontbijt ook erg goed en uitgebreid. Drankjes wel erg prijzig. Cola 0,33ml €4,80. Glas witte wijn en 1 gin tonic €23. Erg positief dus, met enkele kanttekeningen ;-)

Hotel Gerl far surpassed my expectations and my family’s. The staff, food, amenities, rooms and food was all perfect! My kids are asking when we are coming back and I know it’s going to be soon thanks to how great they treated us.

Really great hotel, had an amazing stay in Salzburg. All facilities were available and extremely clean. The room and views were beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great, as well as the lunch and dinner menus. I would stay here again!
