We recently stayed at the Hotel Grand Ferdinand in Vienna. The location was great. Very walkable to many things such as museums, churches, and shopping. The hotel was nice. Our room was clean and a decent size for a European hotel room. Nice big shower, seperate toilet room, but lacked counter soace and closet space. No dresser, or table and chair to sit at, but had a small couch to put our suitcase on. Pur air conditioning wasn't working for 2 days but it git fixed on our last day which we were grateful for in the heat. We wanted to use the pool but it is very small and no loungers were ever available. There were only about 10 of them. The breakfast was included and very good. We had dinner at the Limon Restaurant and it was very expensive. There were 4 of us. We each had a meal, a drink, a coffee and shared dessert for $266 Euros. The food was just okay. Unfortunately, eating in Europe is not cheap at all and honestly, the food is just okay. I would recommend the Grand Ferdinand for a short term stay to be close to everything.

Dejligt hotel midt i Wien. Det bedste var deres rooftop terrace, hvor der er den bedste morgenmad samt et fantastisk sted at slappe af i lbet af dagen med solstole og en lille pool. Vi var der hver dag en times tid og slappede af.

Wir logierten in Zimmern wo der Flur aussieht als ob es sich um einen Dienstflur handelt. Die Zimmer sind kleiner als erwartet, der Pool auf dem Dach ebenfalls und mit sehr begrenzten Liegen. Der Service im Schnitzelabfertigungsretaurant war schlecht - unsere Kellnerin tat uns leid - sie waren komplett unterbesetzt. Das Ferdinand ist nur "lässig cool", mehr nicht.

The building and the larger rooms are pleasant and most of the staff are professional and accomodating. They struggle to keep up with a five star reputation however, perhaps best symbolised by their 2 by 4 meter tub they have the balls to call a pool aswell as their ridiculous prices. Only book if you get a heavy discount On the rooms and make sure breakfast is included if you care to eat at the hotel. On the positive side; it is a very nice 4* with an excellent location.

I am writing to express my absolute delight regarding my recent stay at Hotel Grand Ferdinand Vienna. My experience was wonderful across the board. The front desk staff was consistently friendly and professional, and my room was spotlessly clean. I especially enjoyed the three restaurants located at the hotel, with The Lemon restaurant being a favorite due to its excellent food and spectacular rooftop view of Vienna. The selection for both breakfast and dinner perfectly suited to my taste. The location of the hotel is truly hard to beat: 5-15 min walk distance to the Opera and Kärntner Str. I would return to Hotel Grand Ferdinand without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone.

Minha experiência no Hotel Grand Ferdinand em Viena foi muito abaixo do esperado. Desde o início, percebi que os quartos não são bem limpos: havia poeira sobre os móveis e também embaixo deles, algo inaceitável para um hotel desse padrão.Além disso, tive um problema extremamente desagradável com as toalhas. Minha esposa e meu bebê estavam no banho quando percebemos que não havia nenhuma toalha no quarto. Fui até a recepção solicitar, voltei e esperei mais de 10 minutos, e ninguém trouxe. Tive então que retornar à recepção e, já irritado pela situação, exigir uma toalha, pois meu bebê estava molhado, no banheiro, sem como se secar. Acabei acompanhando o funcionário até o depósito para finalmente conseguir uma toalha. Total falta de organização e empatia.Outro ponto negativo é o restaurante da recepção, onde os atendentes são mal educados, despreparados e sem vontade de atender. Os garçons simplesmente parecem não se importar. Para mim, foi a pior experiência que tive em Viena.A única coisa que realmente me surpreendeu positivamente foi o restaurante italiano do rooftop. Excelente atendimento, equipe muito bem treinada, comida deliciosa — uma verdadeira joia em meio ao caos da experiência que tivemos no restante do hotel.

We enjoyed our stay, however the marble around the sink was not very well cleaned the first two days. And there is some dust under the sink. There should have been a small table to our sofa as there are glases in the room where do we put them when we sit in the sofa? Shower was excellent. And the breakfast. We did also lack shelves to keep our stuff on.

1. They have no lobby, and barely standing room for more than two guests checking in/out, because they also use the little lobby space they have to store bags. 2. The check-in girl seemed quite full of herself (the staff all seemed very young) 3. The seventh floor, where we stayed, is not well lit, with half the floor (including where our room was) being uncarpeted and dark, giving the feeling of being deep inside the bowels of the building. 4. The room was so small that the shower is in the bedroom, and actually opens onto the bed! 5. There is a very popular restaurant on the first floor, but being a hotel resident does not ensure you can get a table. In fact, we couldn’t. 6. Don’t stay on the seventh floor, as it’s below their premier restaurant, and sounds of equipment being moved and people coming, going and having a good time until pretty late all conspire to deny you a good sleep.

The hotel is very conveniently located near the city center. We found could either walk or take public transport to reach any destination. The room was of a good size, but the semi-open plan was unexpected. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

L'hotel è quasi perfetto, pulizia ok personale ok colazione top, letto top, posizione top. Prima volta che avevamo la doccia e il lavandino a vista in camera... Water in un ambiente separato senza aspiratore.. privacy zero. Fortuna che eravamo una coppia con stessi orari ed esigenze altrimenti erano problemi inoltre le luci o si accendevano tutte o si spegnevano tutte assieme... No luce su comodino. Quando uscivi dalla doccia era freddo perché la stanza non raggiunge mai il calore di un bagno "normale". Tolto questo lo consiglio perché il resto era veramente ottimo

Hotel is located very centrally, walkable to most city centre sites and easy to find. Reception and rooms were very nice and looked smart. Provided a bed and bowl for our dog but unfortunately that was where the "dog-friendly" element ended. Despite having three restaurants we could not go to breakfast with our dog as the only restaurant serving breakfast was on the top floor and dogs were not allowed. We asked if we could eat the meal somewhere else (i.e. one of the other restaurants) and they said no. Their two suggestions were to leave the dog in the room (which I explained would be noisy as she barks when on her own, especially in a strange room) or we could go up one at a time which isn't really a great way to spend a break as a couple. My wife did go up one morning and by the time she managed to find a menu (not handed to her when she arrived) the staff member said the kitchen was now closed. In conclusion the hotel looks lovely and is in a great part of town but service is really poor

Our check out experience was not good and we are particularly unhappy with this aspect of our stay at your hotel. First of all the hotel.com discount voucher of €25 was not not discounted! we had a meal in the hotel downstairs restaurant but the voucher was only available in the second floor restaurant the Lemon Restaurant. Informing us of this important piece of information at checkout is unprofessional. Second point was that my partner ( nationality American) wanted to treat me and pay for the hotel bill. She was asked by the receptionist did she want to pay in $ or € ? Again it was not stated to her that there was an additional charge for paying in $ as opposed to € currency. It was only when we received the email invoice later by email with the full bill print out that the $ charge is highlighted. The bill should have been $733.89 but because of mark up charges it is now $777 a mark up of $43! Had my partner been informed of this by the receptionist that there was a commission charge for choosing $ in her payment transaction she would have obviously chosen € as she has a Visa Citibank world anywhere which does not charge for purchases overseas. The lack of information given by the receptionist highlighting this 3.5 % mark up charge is again very disappointing.

1. Vi syntes, at det er det rene tyveri, at man skal betale 45 euro pr. person pr. dag for morgenmad. Det er mere end deres bedste bøf til aftensmad kostede. Så vi spiste morgenmad ude rigtig godt hver dag og til under halv pris. 2. De kvindelige personer i reception var meget venlige og imødekommende men det var stik modsat for den mandlige. Han skulle på et lille kursus så han ved hvad service betyder.

Had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and beautifully designed. We had a great night's sleep on a comfortable bed in a quiet room. The location put us near parks and landmarks. The staff was warm, professional and went out of their way to make our stay a great experience. We will definitely stay there again.

Das Hotel war sehr gut und die Zimmer waren auch in Ordnung nur das Personal in der Rooftop Bar, besonders die blonde Empfangsdame, war sehr unfreundlich da erwarte ich einen besseren Service vor allem für den Preis. An zwei hintereinander folgenden Tagen so unfreundlich zu sein obwohl wir Gäste des Hotels waren, ist schon sehr dreist gewesen. Wir werden hier nicht mehr übernachten.

Excellent location! Staff was very nice, room comfortable and very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. It is close to various sightseeing and shopping. Close to the public transportation. Very convenient. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Good location for walking into the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Difficult to book a table in the restaurants since these get reserved very quickly. The airport pickup (via a 3rd party) was poor and we were left waiting for over 40 minutes. The safe in the room stopped working during the stay although luckily we'd removed items by then.

En general estuvo bien la estancia. Las toallas de manos algo percudidas. No hay servicio para comer algo después de las 22:30 que fue la hora que llegué y como tenía cupón para usar ahí, me dijeron que estaba lleno y no había nada para cenar, tampoco abajo, ni en el restaurante de al lado. Tampoco había shampoo en el baño, lo bueno que yo llevo siempre botes pequeños

The breakfast was excellent with many options. The room was clean although a little small. We did not realize that the food credit was only valid in one restaurant which was only open some hours. As a result, we were not able to use the credit when we wanted to.

Mycket fin frukost, med möjlighet att sitta ute med utsikt över Wien. Trist med småsaker som inte funkade på rummet, tex fjärrkontroll som inte fungerade med gamla ärjade batteriet, kassaskåp som inte ville gå i lås. Dålig service på hoyellets restaurang Meissl & Schadn trots att den skulle vara en fin krog, ingen av alla kypare ägnade oss en sekund efter vi fått maten så vi blev utan vin i våra tomma glas i över 20 minuter.

Wien typisch teuer aber sehr sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal mit teurem (38€) aber excellentem Frühstück. Ich persönliche mochte den Mixed Look aus Fabrik Atmosphäre und chic nicht so sehr. Gut gelegen im Centrum.
