Hotel Salzburg-Hauptbahnhof

When we checked in, we were not told that they did not have hot water and nothing was done about it for our entire stay and the room did not have heat. We were given a space heater for this problem. No hot water for shower available.

Receptionists were excellent, friendly and helpful and dealt with numerous complaints about the lack of hot water in the hotel admirably without any visable bsck up from management .Rooms are quiet and comfortable and breakfast is excellent if a little chaotic if you arrive at the same time as the coach tour guests. Very convenient for bus and rail connections and good choice of restaurants nearby .

Front desk was exceptionally kind and friendly. I saw them dealing with A LOT of customers at the same time... maybe other employees took christmas vacation.. Room was very clean. Great location. Sauna was sooooo lovely 😍 I want to come back for Sauna in the hotel

This hotel is really excellent, next to Salzburg Hbf, just outside train station. Every thing is in mint condition. Staffs friendly, breakfast is good and with excellent view of the Alps. And 2level gym has a broad view of the plaza outside train station. About 5min walk from hotel there are many choice of mid range asia, western & Turkish. Will come again

We were stuck in Salzburg due to the floods. This hotel was very convenient to the train station and as it was raining we booked in. Staff were lovely and room was fine, there was a slight problem with hot water but we received a discount for the inconvenience. Managed a warm shower in the morning. Would stay again.

Hotel rooms are very good, beds very comfortable, staff very obliging, great breakfasts, sauna, fitness facilities excellent, very good location to station, and city attractions, love to visit here again.

We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel. Staff was friendly, room was perfect…clean, comfortable, quiet. Location to train station and all buses can’t be beat. Price was also very reasonable.

Facility is pretty new. House keeper did not properly wash &clean the used glass cup in the table. We stayed in 5 rooms as a group of 10 people. 4 of 5 rooms stayed on 2nd floor. None of the 4 rooms cleaned the glass cup properly. The house keeper ruined the credit of all others good performance of the hotel.

Right next to the Salzburg HBF. If possible get the odd number rooms so that you won’t face rail tracks and hear noises. Walkable to old town center. Room is small but clean. Only complaint is: dirty carpet

The hallway of the hotel looks dirty. There were visible stains on the carpet giving us an impression that the room is also not well cleaned. The room seems ok tho. We checked in at 2am

Die Lage am Hauptbahnhof ist sehr praktisch. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend eingerichtet. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr einladend, die Auswahl an Speisen sehr gut, das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich. Die Reinigung des Zimmers war nicht befriedigend, so wurde das Bad während der 4 Tage nicht einmal gewischt.

The hotel was right outside of the train station and next to the bus stop. It was very convenient to get around the town. The room was very clean and comfortable. We love Salzburg and will definitely be back!

Excellent hotel, the rooms are great and the location is unmatched, so close to the train station!! My only complaint is it’s too hot in the room, even with the windows open in winter. Their heater is intense! But other than that everything else was great

Great location and wonderful staff. The rooms are clean and i love the kettle in the room. It is HOT in the room. The AC situation is complicated and does not stay on continuously. If you open the window, it negates the AC. The breakfast is worth it and well stocked.

The room conditioner was controlled by the hotel. The weather was hot at the time and the AC was on a timer that shut it off before the room started to cool down. Very uncomfortable at night. Could not open window as area was very noisy near bus and train station. Hotel was a good distance from the parts of the city we wanted to visit.

Although hotel is conveniently beside the station, it got quite noisy at night with fights and loud shouting going on downstairs every night. Witnessed a beating from our room window with police and ambulance coming on scene. Breakfast was great with a wonderful view. They even packed breakfast (on request) for us one morning because we had an early tour. Room is small but clean. Aside from the noise, everything else was great.

Beware this hotel as it routinely overbooks. We were refused a room on arrival and ultimately dispatched to another inferior hotel. Avoid.

I have traveled across five continents, staying mostly in four- and five-star hotels, and this was the first time a hotel employee attempted to humiliate me during breakfast. After finishing my meal, I decided to take two tea bags to my room to enjoy a relaxing moment alone later on. As soon as I got up to leave the table, a brunette employee named Brigitte (as I was told) suddenly berated me from about three or four meters away. She loudly announced for everyone to hear that I should not take tea bags to my room because there were already two provided there. I felt deeply outraged and immediately sought out the person responsible for the breakfast area and reported the incident. She apologized sincerely and asked what she could do to make up for my discomfort. I thanked her but declined any compensation. Hotels host guests from all over the world (and profit from it), so their employees should be trained to restrain their natural instincts and learn to interact politely with foreigners. I am aware there are limits to patience and understanding, but I am certain that a guest taking two tea bags to their room does not cross any line whatsoever. Aside from the shameful and inappropriate behavior of one particular employee, almost everything else about my stay was satisfactory. On the downside, the towels could have been fluffier and no body was provided. Finally, the covers of the seats in the breakfast area are extremely worn out, giving guests a terrible impression.

Excellent breakfast. Very professional and helpful staff in the dining area at breakfast, especially Brigitte, Karina and Daniel went out of their way to help us when needed. The receptionist staff was also very helpful and the check in and out process was very fast and smooth. The bed was very comfortable as well. We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with everything. If we return to Salzburg we will definitely book this hotel again.

We enjoyed staying at the H+ Hotel Salzburg for 3 nights. The hotel is right next to the main station and different modes of transportation is right in front. There is a few supermarkets and dining options in very close proximity’s. Staff is great. I was able to check in early and the staff called us shortly to make sure everything was fine. Thar was a very nice touch.

The staff was not always friendly. They refused certain amenities when asked. Otherwise hotel is good for a night or two.

Quando chegamos fomos muito bem atendidos pelo Front Desk Andreas, atendimento cortês, personalizado, eficiente e excelente! Andreas fala português, é muito prestativo e simpático, nos deu várias dicas de turismo e isso facilitou muito. Recebemos um cartão gratuito para transporte público em Salzburgo e isso valeu muito a pena. O quarto é confortável, camas e lençóis de boa qualidade. Todo dia o quarto era arrumado e limpo pelas camareiras. O café da manhã foi excepcional, com muita variedade de comidas e bem gostosas e ótimo atendimento. A sala do café tem uma vista linda. Enfim, é uma ótima opção de hospedagem com bom custo benefício. Para quem tem que viajar de trem e de ônibus, a localização é perfeita, de fácil acesso para a estação e parada de ônibus. Ainda, tem um mini shopping ao lado com mercados e várias opções de comida. Na estação de trem ao lado também tem um ótimo mercado que fica aberto até mais tarde.

I must express my utmost disappointment and label this as the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. Prior to my check-in, I received an email from the hotel, which stated the following: 'We wish you a safe and pleasant journey to H Hotel Salzburg. Take advantage of this opportunity to make your stay even more enjoyable. Using the link in this email, you can access an exclusive offer for booking additional services to tailor your stay to your requirements.’ In response to this email, I promptly booked breakfast and made a payment using my credit card. I even double-confirmed this arrangement upon my check-in. However, during the check-out process, the staff member handling my transaction insisted that I had not paid for the breakfast and demanded payment at that moment. This particular staff member at the H Hotel displayed impoliteness and impatience. Despite my repeated assertions that I had indeed made the payment, she disregarded my statements without conducting a thorough verification, while wearing an expression of displeasure. Regrettably, I was compelled to pay for the breakfast once again. The breakfast cost was EUR 48, and they charged me twice. This incident required numerous emails, conversations, and the repeated submission of payment proof to address the hotel's double charge. Although they have acknowledged the double charge now, I have not yet received a refund. The process has been protracted and frustrating.

From check in to check out the staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. We had an amazing visit to Salzburg and the surrounding area and were very happy to call the H+ our home base. While this is a very busy area due to its proximity to the train station it was one of the most quiet hotels we stayed at during our trip. And on our last day we had some time to explore after check out and Rina was so helpful in letting us store our luggage for a few hours. All around excellent customer service.

I had a great stay at the H+ Hotel Salzburg. The location is excellent—right in front of Salzburg Hauptbahnhof and the bus stops, making it extremely convenient to get around the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything I needed. There are plenty of food options and grocery stores within walking distance, which made the stay even more convenient. A special thanks to Tom Bub and his team, who were very helpful and provided clear and useful travel information about Salzburg. Their warm service really enhanced my visit. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay in Salzburg!

The hotel itself was great. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was lovely. The breakfast, as with all European hotel breakfasts was over priced but delicious. The hotel next to the train station, bus transfer station, and taxis line up outside. It’s quick to get around on public transport or via taxi/Uber but I wouldn’t say this is close to any of the sites in town unless you’re up for a 20 minute walk, which is absolutely doable.

Great hotel for a weekend in Salzburg. I don't think the location could have been better for us. You have the train station and bus station literally outside your door. Food options and supermarket in the shopping centre next door. Nice walk to the old town and river. Would definitely recommend.

H Hotel is 2 minutes from Salzburg Hbf and that's very convenient for travelers. It is also about 20 minutes walk to Old Town. There is a mall right next to the hotel, which makes shopping very convenient. Hotel staff are also helpful and friendly. Overall stay was great.

Pros: - The room was a good size. - The beds were comfortable. Cons: - Doesn't have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, perhaps this was my mistake for not checking, but it should've been advertised more clearly. - The hotel is quite far from the old town, which is not bad for a business traveller, but the distance is quite annoying for a tourist. - The breakfast is very limited. - Bathrobes come at a rental cost. (?!?)

A hotel situated next to Salzburg train station with supermarkets and restaurants closed by. A really friendly atmosphere and comfortable room especially the mattress. Loved the sixth floor breakfast view of the Alps. The only downside is the lack of choice with the buffet breakfast.

The location is next to the train station & bus connections making it useful as a base for travelling around. There are numerous shops nearby for any essentials. The hotel itself was ok. Pros: Location for transport links, quiet inside, reasonably clean & modern, ideal as a base for travelling round western Austria & the Obersalzburg. Cons: No dining aside from breakfast, no fridge in rooms, the shower is badly designed with no seals around the door so water leaks all over the floor (other rooms reported the same), room cleaning could have been better but was ok, alcoholics congregate in the large square beside the station (not the hotel’s fault & they didn’t appear to bother anyone in the two weeks I was there but it may put some off).
