Hotel Bristol

Har bodd på Bristol mange ganger. Denne gang ble det litt nedtur. Toalett som var delvis i uorden og ikke ville fylle seg. Dessuten var det fullt av støv i kleshylkene og jeg måtte vaske før vi ka inn klær. Redusert åpningstid i garasjen trekker også ned. Ikke mulig å få ut sitt kjøretøy før kl 0900 på søndag morgen. Upraktisk når man har planlagt avgang kl 0809.

Frokost og spa var helt fantastisk :)

The Hotel Bristol is a beautiful old hotel, we placed in the center of Oslo. The rooms are lovely, the breakfast is fantastic, great old-world charm. Very busy every afternoon with people having formal tea. Service is terrific in every area. My only complaint is that the 7th floor is unreachable by elevator. Our room was very nice, but we had to take the elevator to the 6th floor and then walk up stairs (with heavy bags) to get to our room. The hotel should provide porter service to anyone staying in these rooms and warn guests I only have one

Great Hotel, fantastic location and breakfast. Valet parking is expensive. They should inform the cost in advance not at checkout.

This charming hotel is very central and an easy walk to the harbour and other tourist sites. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent in terms of the offerings with a good mix of local dishes. Only complaint was the hot food was only warm at best - the heat lamps did nothing. The gym was excellent. A good range of cardio equipment and free weights as well as some weight machines.

If you’re staying in Oslo and want a hotel with soul, this is the place to be. Wonderful breakfast. The best hotel bed ever. The location is perfect. They also have their own parking garage.

Breakfast was very good. What was not good is the cost of parking 550 NOK which is redicoulous. Also, they charge 200 NOK per day to charge your car, something that was not clear at all from their staff! Gave them the car almost full and asked them to charge it on the premise that it was a one time charge, to find out to my surprise that it is a daily charge. The night before checking out, I asked them to charge it so it is full when I drop it off at the airport, unfortunately they did NOT charge it and I only had enough to get me to the airport!! Their concierge at the time promised to call me to sort this issue and I never heard from him!! It is disappointing to have such bad service from a 4.5 star hotel!

Bortsett fra endringer i parkering, som ble litt dårlig kommunisert i starten, var oppholdet helt topp.

One of the two elevators was broken for days and the working one only held four people. Hard to get up and down.

The building is very old but it has been modernized. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly. Hotel is within walking distance of the train station and many attractions. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Will definitely stay here again.

Fant en Q-tips under sengen som ikke var vår. Sønnen min skulle finne leken sin når han fant den.

Cleanliness is key for me and this hotel has definitely exceed the expectation! Staff is friendly and the overall atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice. It’s also very easy to get around places. So highly recommend!

Sterk lukt av kloakk i 3. etg. Kunne vært bedre tilrettelagt for boende gjester som ønsker å spise, når det er så fullt som det er i førjulshelger!

Ble tatt godt imot i resepsjonen. Nydelige rene rom. Dyner og puter som skyer- helt nydelig. Frokosten var helt fabelaktig, den beste vi har opplevd på noe annet hotell. God atmosfære på hele hotellet.

Vid frukosten var kocken okunnig och inte särskilt hjälpsam när vi frågade om allergener. De varma rätterna svalnade mycket fort eftersom tallrikarna var kalla. Jag hittade en glasskärva på golvet i badrummet och hörnen var dammiga i rummet.

Var ikke ordentlig rent i dusj og under seng. Ellers et. Ledig fint opphold.

Perfect location, good breakfast and clean room

Forferdelig varmt på rommet, dårlig med kald luft fra aircondition, lukket opp alle 3 vinduene, hjalp i mye, alt for lite åpning på vinduene.

The hotel was beautiful, I only wish it had air Conditioning as it was quite warm and humid during the day and night. Breakfast was exceptionally wonderful and staff were attentive and kind.

Unfortunately, the room assigned to us for a week faced a side street with an extremely loud bar which was open until 4 am. This was disappointing.

Fantastiskt sköna sängar o duntäcken. Fint rum o badrum. Mycket trevlig personal, Centralt läge. Skönt med sen utcheckning kl 12.

Allt fantastiskt men ljudet från gatan var fruktansvärt. Blev tyst vid 03:30 innan dess vara det omöjligt att sova.

Hotellet ligger centralt i Oslo nära metron och Karl Johans gate. Rummen renoverades ganska nyligen och har bra med ladd-alternativ, Chromecast vid TVn, och fräscha badrum med riktigt bra tryck i duschen. Frukosten serveras i fantastiska lokaler och allt görs på plats, färskpressad juice, bra äggröra med krispiga ögon, och nybakt bröd. En otroligt trevlig hotell-upplevelse på alla sätt. Enda klagomålet är kuddarna i sängen, de var för tunna och jag fick inget nackstöd när jag sov.

Generelt bra, men veldig trangt bad på rommet

We only stayed one night at Hotel Bristol but wish it had been longer. Our room was spacious and clean with all of the amenities you could ask for, including lovely L'Occitane products in the bathroom. We were facing the street which was fine on a Sunday night, but I suspect it could be a bit noisy if a Friday or Saturday night. One small criticism is the pillows - they were so flat and not very comfortable. Recommend asking for a few extra if you are used to a fuller pillow. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have had - so much choice and everything tasted incredible. We would love to return one day!

For a hotel if this caliber, there is no staff to help with luggage or taxi as you checkin or check out Especially with cold slippery sidewalks and entrance to the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Bristol! First of all, it’s a beautiful hotel with interesting history and style. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home at the Hotel Bristol, especially the Concierge, Tarik! Thank you, Tarik! The hotel is in the heart of Oslo and is close to so many things to see. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet, which was included in my room rate, was amazing! So many good and drink options in a beautiful dining area. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to have lunch or dinner in their restaurant, but from what I saw, the decor and the menu options are first class! You will love your stay at the Hotel Bristol!

Be careful about extra charges. We were charged extra for second guest. Receptionist is abit rude and sarcastic.

Hotellet är fantastiskt. Däremot funkade inte personalen i restaurangen. Vi stod i 15 minuter och väntade på hovmästaren när vi hade beställt bord. Ingen koll överhuvudtaget.

Positiv og informativt fra resepsjon ved innsjekk. Fikk velge mellom to rom, og sjekke inn 4 timer før angitt tid.

Oppholdet var helt fint, meget god service i resepsjonen spesielt av hun unge som jobbet der. Rommet helt ok, senga var ikke sp bra. Fikk ikke tv’n til å fungere. Renhold var fint. Hovmester var grei, stressa men proff. Servitørene var veldig varierende. Noen var fantastiske andre var uforskammet i måten di snakket til oss. Det er dette som trekker ned oppholdet. Frokosten å den servicen der «reddet» inn oppholdet da dette vår helt i verdensklasse.

A good experience as you'd expect from this old lady of a classic hotel. However.... a couple of details. Most of staff do not know anything about Oslo or Norway, only concierge can advise but his advise - super friendly - does not match our requests and is kind of wrong (even restaurant: we wanted a Norwegian fish restaurant, he sends us to a Mediterranean cuisin one). There is veery limited sitting area at the lobby, or rather there is no lobby per se. Breakfast very good, but staff feel it is necessary to say that you can stay in breakfast room only for 45 minutes (even when you enter is 30 minutes before closing time at 10am). Following rules...? But hospitality is more than "following rules"...

The breakfast was outstanding. The room was clean. But it was so noisy because of the pub and danceclub across the street that it was impossible to let the window open at night.

Our stay at the Hotel Bristol was outstanding. The public spaces are historic and beautiful and our room was well sized and very comfortable. The hotel is located in the center of Oslo making it easy to walk to most sights. The streetcar and metro are nearby if you need to go a little farther. They have an excellent breakfast buffet to ensure you are fueled up for the day.

Feels like a trip back in time, but in a good way. The hotel has a rich history and they managed to keep, transport and evolve that flair into the 21st century. Location is exceptional when you want to explore Oslo. Will stay here, when I come back.

Great location to public transportation and walkable to many highlights. Expansive buffet breakfast.

The hotel is located in a perfect location to navigate around the city. It is obviously popular with locals as well as guests. I loved the breakfast and the service was excellent! My only small complaint would be the two single duvets used to cover the king-sized bed. It made sleeping more uncomfortable than it should be.

Great base to discover Oslo. Central, convenient location and comfortable, spacious rooms. Would stay again on a future trip

Great property! Excellent location, short walk from the central station, shopping district, palace and other monuments. Rooms are well presented and good size but I feel the bathrooms were small, toileteries are L’Occitane but not refilled regularly I presume, we had run out of shower gel, requested the house keeping but wasn’t done and they said they had run out of stock, twice complained at reception and finally it was refilled. Moisturiser also ran out but we had some of our own to use. The restaurant closes at 9pm and extremely limited choices so we had to dine out, the Bristol bar adjacent to hotel closes at 10pm sharp, not really ideal if you want to grab a drink post dinner & unwind. We had a rushed drink upon our arrival at the Bristol bar as the hotel bar was closed at 9pm. Upon our late arrival for check in into hotel we were advised room service was not available post 9pm so had to go hunting for food, luckily there is a deli close by so picked up some sandwiches. Staff at reception are helpfull mostly. Check in wasn’t the best experience with a wrong room number written on card so I had to come back down to find out the number written was incorrect. The restaurant is quite busy at lunch. A staff member at reception helped us book a ride back to the airport & very courteous. All in all a great property! Breakfast was fabulous, huge selection, loved it

Probably the best hotel breakfast in Norway!

Alltid hyggelig på Bristol, selv i førjuls stresset.Fint pyntet og trivelig personale. Det hadde imidlertid vært fint om vannet i dusjen ble varmt. Synes også at varmmaten til frokost var veldig lite varm. Ellers er vi fornøyd med oppholdet og kommer sikkert tilbake.

Frokost bra, men synd at bar stenger klokka 2400. Vi var der før 23.20 og de sa det var stengt for bestilling.
