Great stay at Hotel Continental. Professional, friendly service from assistance with luggage, restaurant suggestions and easy check in. Room was Great!! Clean, comfortable bed and spacious. Restaurant in hotel and breakfast in hotel was top notch with buffet as well as included menu ordering. Parking was easy and i would highly recommend and would stay again when in Oslo.

Wonderful staff. One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many fine hotels. The staff was exceptional, especially Marcus. Lovely amenities and beautiful condition and attention to detail in every way. Clearly management has very high expectations for top service, beautiful common areas and rooms, especially well done breakfasts, even the flower arrangements were special. Location good and parking was a breeze. We will definitely stay here next time we go to Oslo.

Både mottakelse og service var helt topp fra jeg kom til hotellet. Som gammel "kunde" ble jeg gjenkjent ( minst 6 år siden sist). Fikk oppgradert nyoppusset rom ,og bagasjen levert :) Frokosten var også førsteklasses. På Theater Cafeen om kvelden var det som vanlig god atmosfære. Vi ( 8 personer) fikk topp service og svært god mat. Kan nevne at jeg hadde booket parkering . Den var ikke billig ,men mye billigere enn på nytt hotell på Solli Plass!- Hotellet kan anbefales derom en ønsker sentralt hotell med god komfort

The hotel is mostly conveniently located in the downtown and just steps away from the National Theatre Station. Most of the tourist sights are within short walks from the hotel. The hotel room is new and clean and the bathroom is well equipped with utilities. Staff members are friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful stay in the hotel.

Sad to give such a nice hotel a low rating, but one of the primary functions of a hotel is a place to sleep and you cannot do that here before 3am due to the loud thumping bass of the bar music across the street from the hotel. I can sleep through almost anything, but this one was tough since it is t the conversations or the music but the bass thumping that is coming up. It was louder than my white noise app and did not stop until 3am. Facilities, location, and service are excellent here—just a noise issue

This hotel is very well-appointed with a helpful staff. The problem (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) is that it is like 2 hotels. The first night my room faced a major turnaround that has the constant (all night) noise of trams - it has a turnaround for them in addition to being along tram lines. If you want a quiet place to street you need to ask NOT to face this street. After a sleepless night I asked to change rooms and was put in a very quiet room facing the courtyard. At that point it was an exact opposite experience. Apart from that, the hotel is extremely well-appointed in terms of amenities in the room - and the on-site restaurant is lovely. It is near a harbor with lots of shops and restaurants, as well as the National Museum. All in all, the experience was terrible the first night, but turned wonderful as soon as I changed to a much quieter location.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were the best we have ever used. The hotel is right downtown and close to all important things in Oslo. We have been all over the world and this might be our favourite one! Too bad we were only there for one night. It is pricey but for us worth it! My wife especially liked the brunch.

What a wonderful hotel! The front desk staff are amazing! We had an issue unrelated to the hotel (crashed iPhone) and they worked with us while we got it resolved. We so appreciate their kindness. The breakfast buffet was great and the room was beautiful and comfortable. We’ll definitely stay there again on our next visit to Oslo!

If you have forgotten what great service in a traditional hotel is like come to the Hotel Continental. Everyone from the front desk to the dining room could not be more kind and helpful. When I mentioned that we were going to the floating sauna on the Oslo fjord, Anna at the front desk offered to have towels and water ready when we left. So thoughtful and made a big difference at the sauna. She also offered a room upgrade without my asking. Similarly the hostess in the breakfast room could not have been more pleasant and helpful. BTW the breakfast was among the best I’ve had in any first class hotel anywhere. All in all it was a great stay that significantly added to our stay in Oslo.

Came in late at 9pm and was trying to book . The staff said unfortunately we cannot book you because the booking office is closed . So i told her its ok i will book thru third party and she looks like she was not happy abt it and even told me “ it takes a while for it to go thru” this staff never gave me option .We felt discriminated and helpless . Luckily we know other options . She needs to be trained more and possibly never judge a person and treat them equally .

Checking in was a disaster. rooms were not ready, unhelpful front desk staff with attitude. Travelling with my children,booked 3 rooms on same reservation,offered rooms on different floors, First impression ruined everything. would not stay again.

Our room was facing the Main Street and as such received all the noise (even during night) of the buses coming back and forth. Noise control windows are very much needed. On the positive side front desk service, and attention from all staff was great. Breakfast deserves a special call out: very good! Finally the hotel location is very central and has easy access to public transportation.

An all-around amazing stay! The location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the train station. No need to rent a car. Took the train to and from the Airport. Plus an easy walk to the Fjord, Palace, etc. for sightseeing. The hotel itself was beautiful. The staff was impeccable and to wake up to an incredible breakfast buffet each morning was a great way to start each day.
