Traveled with my daughter to Svolvær. We had a balcony room which I would say is a must, far better to be able to relax above the water and watch the boats go by than to look over a parking lot. The room and en suite were both comfortable and spacious enough that the two of us did not feel cramped. I would love to know what the mattresses were made of. Throughout Norway all of them were the same three inch thick material but immensely comfortable. Seemed like a very green choice. The staff was welcoming and helpful during check in and out and any time we had a question. We ate the breakfast buffet once, it had extensive fresh and delicious choices, well worth the price. Overall A+ accomidations.

Great, comfortable room with a balcony over the water. At night we saw the northern lights beautifully and strong, a few times. No restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Grocery store / small mall also just a 10 minute walk. Located in on a small island and just 2 hours drive from Reine and Å (the last of the lofoten island) we originally came for 1 days but stayed an extra night with no problems and they gave us a laate check out at 2pm with no additional charge. Breakfast was good

This is the second time I stay at this Scandic Svolvaer. The room is clean, has view of the water. Staffs are very helpful. Located near the city center, shopping, sight-seeing tour operators and restaurants. The room price is very reasonable. Just the right price point for the location.
