Our room was on third level near the lift at the junction of three hallways with doors that slammed every time someone closed one. It was also directly above the lounge and the live music came right through the floor. In addition, there was insufficient parking available for guests. At one point it was necessary park up the hill behind a barn in an unimproved unmarked lot. Our water view was over roof of the lobby and building across the way. The buffet breakfast at the hotel is excellent

Great hotel close to the ocean with a great pool and fitness club across the parking lot. Walking trail/nature trail is a nice walk to the beach. Front desk staff was superb! Answered all of our questions, gave suggestions and were very helpful. Ate dinner at the restaurant and the included breakfast was delightful. They poached an egg for me and they will also make pancakes to order. Everything else is self serve buffet with everything you could want for breakfast ! A nice respite on our busy trip through Ireland!

We were a bit surprised when we had to walk up a set of stairs with no elevator to get to our room 216 way at the back of the hotel. The hotel was lovely and the meals and eating areas were superb.

The pictures on the app looked great and we really booked for the gym as it was in the area we wanted and had facilities. It didn’t open until 10 on a Sunday which is crazy. The hotel was incredibly run down, surprisingly so. Would NOT stay again.

Very comfortable beds and lovely and clean. Bathroom could do with refurbishing, but otherwise the room was great. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Can't praise them enough! Breakfast was good and the food in the bar was excellent. Having access to the pool and leisure facilities was a treat.

Beds comfy, great window and view. We stayed in 7 hotels during our time in Ireland and this was the most expensive, which makes it seem like bad value because we had to clean the bath ourselves - it was full of dirt and hair. This was quite upsetting but as it was late we didn’t want to have to move. The corridor downstairs didn’t smell good which is another reason we didn’t want to move, we also didn’t want to lose our lovely view and comfy beds. It’s just a shame the bathroom was so run down and left dirty and hairy because for the cost you would really expect high quality cleaning. The hotel definitely needs updating and cleaning properly, or the price reduced to reflect the quality. I paid extra as a treat thinking it would be fancy, but even the cheapest hotel we stayed in this trip had a clean bathroom. Bit of a shame but aside from that we had a lovely stay.

Thus hotel is fabulous in my opinion. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was spotless and spacious. The pool was relaxing and the food was excellent quality and good size portion. Cant wait to return for a longer stay.highly recommend. 5 stats from me.

An older hoter with ample car park and well kept mature gardens. Lobby and restaurants as expected, service superb and enjoyed the food albeit pricey compared to an equivalent in town. Music Wednesday night which we really enjoyed. The downfall is the room, it was dated and could do with a revamp as the curtains were old and dirty at floor level. The bathroom is another story, no bath just an open shower meaning a towel on the floor is essential after use and potentially a slip hazard. Black mould in two upper wall corners probably due to the lack of a working fan and the floor tiles should be lifted and relaid as black quick fix silicone is not a great look.

Really nice staff. Flush takes 5 minutes to refill and makes lots of noise. The vent in the bathroom makes lots of noise too. The rooms are not well insulated in terms of noise. We heard the person above us snoring for 2 nights. No safe as written in the description. The curtains were torn.

Food was the highlight. Compliments to the chef….very tasty, creative menus Loads of choice in bar menu and fair prices. Wonderful array of options for breakfast. Room with a view and bath. Plenty towels. Chocolates, welcome card and free drink were super bonus…WELL DONE!….means a lot! Comfy bed, lovely linen. Only negative was the television….is a bit small and there was very intermittent connection, but I only wanted the `News headlines, so it didn’t matter to me. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms themselves are on the small side and do not have air conditioning or fans. We were visiting during a warmer time in August and with a west facing room was uncomfortable. In terms of the area you are about a 15 minute walk from bars and about 10 from Dunnes and grocery store. Don't bother trying to walk to the beach.

Wonderful sea view from our room on third floor. Very comfortable room and bed. Dined in restaurant on first evening and the meal was excellent and the service great. Also impressed with the breakfast the next day. All round it was a great stay and good value.

Very friendly service but they declined to book us a table at a local restaurant. Room was small and spartan. Mirror light in bathroom didn’t work properly, nor did the plug in the sink. There was a hole in the wall by the door. Water saving tap was very annoying and a bit weird, frankly. Couldn’t connect my phone to the TV using Airplay or Googlecast. The pool was lovely and the bed was very comfortable.

Old property worn down in places ..some staff unhelpful firstly the male receptionist who im still awaiting his call about a early checkin ...staff member who approached us to ask us to vacate a table in the public area of the pub as it was reserved ?? Though no one appeared for a booking...The wedding party we were in spent alot of money and maybe abit more appreciation should of been shown to a well behaved group ....

Stay was fine, just fine. The property needs some tlc.it is out dated. The food was good but again the lounge/restaurant is old fashionned. The staff seemed overwhelmed. Had to wait for ages to be given desert menu then nobody came back to take order so we ended not having desert. Room was clean but basic. Bathroom was completely outdated. Shower was a disaster. Its a walk in shower, no door. Water was everywhere in the bathromm after i showered. Huge gap under the bedroom door which let in a lot of light and noise from people walikng in the corridor . The whole place felt a bit souless, no atmosphere. We will not return

Title: Staff Shines, but Overall Experience Falls Short I want to start by acknowledging the wonderful staff at this hotel – their friendliness and assistance truly stood out during our stay. Unfortunately, the positives end there. The value for money was quite disappointing ( €500+ seems to be the new normal for 1 room 2 nights) The high room rates were not justified by the overall experience. As a family with young children, the room layout was a major letdown. The lack of space and child-friendly features made our stay challenging. Adding to our frustration was the damp smell that seemed to emanate from the bathroom facilities. This was not only unpleasant but also concerning in terms of hygiene. The condition of the bathroom definitely needs improvement. Even the breakfast, which is often a highlight of a hotel stay, was uninspiring. Limited options and lackluster quality left a lot to be desired. While the staff's efforts were commendable, these issues significantly impacted our stay. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and takes steps to enhance the overall experience for future guests.
