Excellent staff and location. The full Scottish breakfast was quite a treat. The lounge/bar is open past midnight. Lovely city views overlooking River Lee. Just blocks from the bustling city centre of Cork. Jus blocks from the Kent Train Station.

It was ok. I would not rate it as a 4 star. The carpet, washroom need updating in the room. Parking was a bit confusing. They have paid parking at the back through a gate. You need to buzz first. You then pay at the front desk. You don't have in and out privileges though as they don't guarantee a spot.

Limited parking on site, right by the main road and thus noisy all night. Hotel itself is excellent and a great location to explore Cork. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet top notch. Dining was good with selection of typical pub food.

Decent hotel but parking was challenging. We had to pay 12 at the desk and another 5 on our way out from the attendant, The staff was not very helpful with prescription glasses that were left behind. Asked reception if I could pay for postage to have them sent to me back home in the US and was told that I would have to arrange for carrier. I had no idea what they were talking about. I don't understand why they couldn't put them in a FedX box and charge me for the postage. I'm sure I am not the first person to leave something behind. Even if the option was to pick them up in Dublin from the other LEONARDO hotel that would have worked. Send them two e-mails before calling and still have not heard from management.

If I stayed again it would be for the kindness of the staff, every one of them was brilliant. The breakfast was good. The cleanliness of the room wasn't what I would expect for what I paid (layer of dust on surfaces and the bed headboards, pink and black mould on shower curtain, black mould in the shower, stains in the bath tub, marks on the carpet) and the room was hot because this hotel does not have air-conditioning. For nearly 200 euro a night it should be spotless.

The hotel itself was very deceiving from the pictures online. The room was not very clean ands had a mild odor to it. The body wash dispenser was broke and only worked over then you had to wait about 30 seconds to pump it again. The bath filled up with water half way while i was taking a shower and the plug was OPEN

We were staying because my husband was running in the Cork Marathon. The location was excellent for our purposes. Check in was easy, the room was fine. It was insanely expensive for the two night stay coming to €655 for the two of us and our 4 year old. We paid it as there was no option all the ither hotels were booked. It was a busy weekend in Cork. When we came home from the marathon the room had not been serviced but we figured they woulld do it later. When we got back from our early dinner at 7pm it was still not serviced. Our 4 year old was ready for bed so we couldn't get it serviced at that time. The reception sent up fresh towels and a few bottles of water. They said they would speak to the cleaning staff. There was no mention of it in check out and we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay. I had to go back and ask for an invoice/ receipt. While playing in the room on the morning of check out my child accidentally moved one of the beds (it was in wheels) there was an empty biscuit packet and a dirty tissue under the bed that were not from our stay.

I really appreciated the great service. I was provided with an adapter because I forgot mine and we were provided with a heater for our room. However, the flooring carpet was quite unclean and I felt like housekeeping wasn’t cleaning it thoroughly. I would appreciate it if cleanliness of the carpet was better and cleaning of the bathroom. Thank you

TV in room was not a Smart TV thus could not stream internet (eg Netflix). Temperature of shower water would occasionally go scoulding hot (I assume when someone in adjoining room used tap or toilet). Window opening was tiny thus limited free air.

This is a good centrally located hotel. Parking is limited but we had no problem getting a spot. The rooms are comfortable but ours was a bit warm even with the fan on. We opened the window but road noise made it tough to sleep.

Op zich prima hotel, maar vrij gedateerd. Geen airco dus met raam open geslapen maar erg veel lawaai op straat. Dus niet goed geslapen. Ook de bedden en kussens waren erg hard. Wel prima gelegen in hartje Cork met alles op loopafstand.

The room was fine, if a little dated. However the walls or maybe floors were very thin and we could hear the loud conversations of a nearby room, different people on each of the two nights. Breakfast was dry and tasteless. Overall the cost of the stay and the quality of the stay were a huge mismatch.

Hotel Leonardo was lovely in almost every regard! They were warm & welcoming, kind and helpful. Absolutely my only criticism was that there was a poor response to morning room service. One morning I called and they said they didn’t know when they could get to me, but the breakfast buffet was still open. The last day, I tried the red breakfast room service hangtag order system, and no one picked it up in over an hour and a half, so we did the buffet. As a Nana with a toddler to watch, room service would have been SO helpful! Otherwise, a great experience!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. From the front desk clerk giving recommending places nearby to eat, to the friendly breakfast room team and the extra assistant at check out. These were some of the best hotel staff I have encountered on my extended 3 month trip around Europe. The room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only concerns we had was the neighborhood was a bit rough and the walk to Oliver Plunket Street using the back alley (per our GPS instructions) for dinner was somewhat concerning. We took the walk back along the quayside by the bus terminal and that had better lighting and felt somewhat safer. I would recommend staying here.

The Expedia description is not exact. Parking is a nightmare. Front desk agent Alexandra was not helpful at all. The rooms were extremely warm. Our room the tub had hair all in it. The table had burns marks all over it. The chair looked like someone peed in it. Terrible tried to get moved and couldnt.

The property and staff were excellent. Checking in and out was seamless. It is next door to a homeless centre. Whilst out we were warned many times the area can be intimidating in the evening (taxi driver, locals, bar staff). We never experienced it, but more nervous travellers could find it worrying.

Das Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet und die Betten komfortabel. Es gibt ein paar Parkplätze gratis im Innenhof. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Man ist schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt und bei schönem Restaurants. Negativ aufgefallen ist uns nur, dass sich in einer Nebenstraße des Hotels eine Notunterkunft für Obdachlose befindet. Es gibt auch Obdachlose, die vor dieser Unterkunft warten oder davor wohnen/schlafen. Man kann aber einfach Außen herum laufen und diese Seitenstraße meiden.

This is a great hotel. The room is large and very comfortable. The staff have been incredible and the food in the restaurant is fantastic. It’s also incredibly convenient to the city and the bus if you want to explore the county.

The property was in an ideal location, minutes walk into shops and very close to the marina market (a favourite visit when we're in cork). Breakfast was grand, there was plenty available on offer and something for everyone. The bar menu didnt have much on offer. The kids menu was also limited, our son is dairy intolerant and all that was available to him was fruit or chips.

It’s a clean hotel although my room was a little tired and in need of some redecoration. The staff were very attentive and extremely helpful. Location is good, on the river, close to the bars, restaurants and sights to in the Victorian Quarter. Food is okay, more like pub food, not restaurant standards but I guess it isn’t trying to be. Having said that, the buffet breakfast of Irish breakfast, fruit, pastries, teas and coffees was excellent. I’d happily stay there again if the price was competitive.
