The property worked very well for our purpose of visiting the city of Dublin. Our stay was very comfortable, the breakfast was great, staff very pleasant, and we ended each day with a nightcap at the on-premise restaurant. Parking was free, plentiful and safe, and the bus stop was 3 mins away. The property is showing its age but we were very happy with our decision to stay here.

Ik ben mijn bril kwijtgeraakt in de kamer. Ze zijn speicaal gaan zoeken en hebben hem onder het bed gevonden en opgestuurd. Uitstekende service! Ruim voldoende, gratis parkeergelegenheid. Het ligt naast Phoenix park, waar je heel goed een flink stuk kan hardlopen.

Hotel nel complesso buono , dispone di ampio parcheggio gratuito, camere pulite e una colazione discreta ( tipica colazione irlandese salata servita al tavolo, scarsa presenza di colazione dolce). Il ristorante interno è buono. Nel complesso ha un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Zona servita dai mezzi pubblici nelle ore diurne e serali ( fino alle 23:20).

We absolutely loved this hotel! Just a short one night stay before a flight. Lots of safe parking. Friendly reception. Went to the bar restaurant for lunch, dinner and dessert. It was excellent. Service exceptional. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms are a tight squeeze for two people but okay for a short stay. Left too early for breakfast so they made us a wonderful take away lunch which was very much appreciated. Thank you to the gentleman who helped us in the early morning hours. Highly recommend this hotel. Will return.

Hotellet var helt greit. Servicen var også helt ok. Det var en del lukt i hele hotellet, av rengjøringsprodukter og klor. Toalettet på rommet luktet veldig røyk da vi sjekket inn, men ble bedre etter at vi sa fra til resepsjonen. Beliggenheten var helt perfekt. Vi tok buss til og fra sentrum (ca 20 minutter), og busstoppet lå like i nærheten av hotellet. Området var stille og fredelig.

This was definitely a 3-star hotel. The staff appeared to be rushed off their feet, so did not have enough time for their guests. We had the worst fish and chips ever in their bar area. The hotel looked old and in need of a lot of TLC. The shower was accumulating water and not draining it quickly enough. Breakfast was ok, but not up to expectations. On the positive side, there was plenty of room to park the car and they obliged when we asked for fans, as it was very hot in the rooms. I couldn't in all honesty recommend it to anyone.

The hotel itself is quite tired, although the room had a nice modern bathroom. Unfortunately the shower waste was blocked so when I showered in the morning the tray overflowed into the room. I reported to reception and when I returned in the evening I could see someone had looked at the trap although the following morning on showering the room flooded again. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful until I came to check out when the guy on reception said he was unable to give me a vat reciept for my incidental expenses. He was most unhelpful and said I should come back when someone was there. In the end he gave me the reciept he had used to ring up my bill which was a full vat reciept. Shame really as his attitude on check out has really tainted my view of what aside from the shower was an ok stay. Sadly I won’t be returning

Lovely clean hotel. The staff were lovely, our room was ready early & the room was very comfortable with everything we needed. The shower room was great - nice hot shower. Tea, coffee etc in the room. The bar was lovely too - staff very friendly & helpful & the food was really good the two nights we ate there. We went into the city on the bus - the stop was opposite the hotel & took coins only - it was €2.60 into the city & took about 30 mins.. the buses went every 15mins on a Friday. Thank you for a great, comfortable stay.

We selected this hotel because we didn’t want to stay in the city centre of Dublin. Location is only 10-15 minutes by bus from Trinity College and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. Huge car park if you have your own car. The hotel is dated but very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast each day - good variety and value for money. The bar downstairs does lunch and dinner and all meals were good. Reception staff were helpful and informative.

We arrived late and thought the hotel was an old hotel from first glance and it was but the room was newly refurbished and was immaculate as was the bathroom. Bed was so comfy. Breakfast the next morning was lovely but a huge selection but more than enough and very tasty. Staff were so friendly, welcoming could not fault them at all

This is an old building. Our room smelled like grease from the diner in the building. Window was left open and there was a wasp in our room. Bathroom was tiny. Old, out-dated decor. Elevator was old and felt unsafe.

The price was good, didn’t realize that there was no air conditioning plus the bathroom was extremely small. I am medium sized but my friend is not and shower was super small glass enclosed plus’s toilet seat , you had hardly no room. The location was very good and the bus 26 is right across the street take you into Dublin Centre. Breakfast was good as well, staff was Courteous. I Liked the medium firm beds but my friend didn’t. I would rate this hotel a 6 and that was because the rate was $150 a night. Also not much TV channels at all on TV if you want to chill and watch tv in room and relax at night

The hotel was clean the staff were friendly. Particularly when we got stuck for a bus or a taxi on the way back from a concert the receptions arranged a taxi to pick us from our location. I would stay here again for sure.

When I first pulled up at the hotel I was disappointed by the appearance and was dreading what we would find inside, I was pleasantly surprised as although slightly dated the hotel was full of character and charm and very well kept. Every single member of staff was amazing and they couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable, from help with our plans, booking taxis, giving us a toothbrush for a forgetful member of the family, or just being attentive and welcoming. Justin and the his entire team are a real credit to the hotel, to Dublin and to Ireland, thank you so much for making us feel so very welcome and making our stay a memory to last a lifetime.

The hotel itself is quite tired, although the room had a nice modern bathroom. Unfortunately the shower waste was blocked so when I showered in the morning the tray overflowed into the room. I reported to reception and when I returned in the evening I could see someone had looked at the trap although the following morning on showering the room flooded again. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful until I came to check out when the guy on reception said he was unable to give me a vat reciept for my incidental expenses. He was most unhelpful and said I should come back when someone was there. In the end he gave me the reciept he had used to ring up my bill which was a full vat reciept. Shame really as his attitude on check out has really tainted my view of what aside from the shower was an ok stay. Sadly I won’t be returning

We selected this hotel because we didn’t want to stay in the city centre of Dublin. Location is only 10-15 minutes by bus from Trinity College and the bus stop is across the road from the hotel. Huge car park if you have your own car. The hotel is dated but very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast each day - good variety and value for money. The bar downstairs does lunch and dinner and all meals were good. Reception staff were helpful and informative.

Hotellet var helt greit. Servicen var også helt ok. Det var en del lukt i hele hotellet, av rengjøringsprodukter og klor. Toalettet på rommet luktet veldig røyk da vi sjekket inn, men ble bedre etter at vi sa fra til resepsjonen. Beliggenheten var helt perfekt. Vi tok buss til og fra sentrum (ca 20 minutter), og busstoppet lå like i nærheten av hotellet. Området var stille og fredelig.

Ik ben mijn bril kwijtgeraakt in de kamer. Ze zijn speicaal gaan zoeken en hebben hem onder het bed gevonden en opgestuurd. Uitstekende service! Ruim voldoende, gratis parkeergelegenheid. Het ligt naast Phoenix park, waar je heel goed een flink stuk kan hardlopen.

The West County Hotel is close to bus stop that runs you into town.(15 min max ) The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful with all your requirements. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend the West County.

The property worked very well for our purpose of visiting the city of Dublin. Our stay was very comfortable, the breakfast was great, staff very pleasant, and we ended each day with a nightcap at the on-premise restaurant. Parking was free, plentiful and safe, and the bus stop was 3 mins away. The property is showing its age but we were very happy with our decision to stay here.

Wir haben zwei Tage im Hotel übernachtet. Es ist gut mit dem Bus (Linie 26, alle 10-15 Minuten, Fahrzeit 20-25 Minuten) aus der Innenstadt erreichbar. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist Irisch. Obstliebhaber und Vegetarier haben da nichts zu lachen. Im Restaurant kann man abends ordentlich essen. Insgesamt keine luxuriöse Herberge, aber vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis gut. Denn Dublin ist teuer…

We absolutely loved this hotel! Just a short one night stay before a flight. Lots of safe parking. Friendly reception. Went to the bar restaurant for lunch, dinner and dessert. It was excellent. Service exceptional. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms are a tight squeeze for two people but okay for a short stay. Left too early for breakfast so they made us a wonderful take away lunch which was very much appreciated. Thank you to the gentleman who helped us in the early morning hours. Highly recommend this hotel. Will return.

This was definitely a 3-star hotel. The staff appeared to be rushed off their feet, so did not have enough time for their guests. We had the worst fish and chips ever in their bar area. The hotel looked old and in need of a lot of TLC. The shower was accumulating water and not draining it quickly enough. Breakfast was ok, but not up to expectations. On the positive side, there was plenty of room to park the car and they obliged when we asked for fans, as it was very hot in the rooms. I couldn't in all honesty recommend it to anyone.

Biggest irritation. : Toiletrol holder on top off toiletpot, USB connection besides bed not working Also hotel needs update/hole place stock somewhere in the eithties /old fassion key to open room door. But staff is friendly and let us in before the official check in time.

A great place to stay when visiting Dublin. Obviously a lot of people would want to stay in the city centre, however this hotel is only about 15 minutes from Temple Bar on the bus, which costs about five euros for two people, so it's well worth staying at. There's a lovely little village about 10 minutes walk away, with a high street in another place about 15 mins away. The room has everything that you need and has plenty of space, unlike some of the places in the city centre. Cooked breakfast was lovely, with various options to choose from. Bar has good options for dinner and drinks, reasonable prices too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, with special mention to Justin who's great to chat to, a lovely guy. Myself and my gf had a lovely five day stay here, would highly recommend people stay here rather than in the city centre.
