Great little stopover after leaving Cork and heading back to Dublin! Friendly staff that were very helpful at check in with car park instructions and right across the street from a few great local pubs!

This is a very nice, comfortable, well-managed hotel right in the center of Cahir. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's in easy walking distance of the castle, numerous coffee shops, and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also quite good, and there is a substantial breakfast available. Our "first floor" room was a significant walk from the reception, up and down several stairs, even after we were on the first floor, but that is just the way the hotel is put together. There is also a car park behind the hotel.

The hotel is an attractive building in the centre of the town, looking over the main square. There is free parking to the rear of the hotel and elsewhere in the town. The room was comfortable and clean with all the facilities you'd need. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. All the staff were very friendly. The bar/restaurant in the hotel has a friendly atmosphere, serves good food and drink for a reasonable price. The hotel is with in walking distance of local parks, golf course and Cahir Castle.

The hotel is located in the center of this small village. A easy 10 minute walk from the train station. The train station is very basic with a platform and a small covered sitting area, for when it is raining. This village has only two taxi's so planning through pre-booking is a must. On the day of our check-out, even after pre-booking, traffic conditions almost side-railed our next leg of our adventure. The hotel's receptionist, I forgot to ask her name, was very instrumental in getting us another form of car ride so we could make our connection. This is just one way this hotel made our stay in Cahir great. The hotel's lyft was out of order and all rooms are located on the two floors above the reception. My wife and I have not been very successful in knowing which essentials to pack, so our suitcases are the large ones, that weigh close to the airplane's 50 pound max. On the day of our arrival, painting was being completed on the stairs leading up to all the rooms. It was becoming a chore for me to get up the stairs with our overloaded bags, until the two gentleman painting the the stairs, stopped their work to help me carry our bags up to our room. Breakfast is awesome and one must order from a set menu. Not steam table food but a plate of food that requires the server to use a pot holder to serve the hot meal. The bus stop is approximately 100 feet outside the hotel's door. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back. Roger
