$6 for a bottle of water, a ripoff. Some staff is nice, others so-so. It was very outside and obviously steaming. Awesome old building.

The Abbaye hotel is a very special historical building. Great views of the Loire from rooms and a lovely outside terrace. Moreover you can simply cross the road and be on the banks of the river! Spotlessly clean rooms. Friendly team. Lovely old furniture everywhere , a character building ( unique) complemented by a modern bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice ( cold meats/cheese/yoghurts/fruit/pastries) many products inc jams/yoghurt from the abbeys in France. The only small disappointment is that the restaurant was unexpectedly closed. However many options in this lovely town closeby. Super stop between UK and the South of France - would be great in the winter with the open fire in the lounge too!

Beautiful old Abbaye in a stunning village overlooking the river. Ongoing restoration has been done very sympathetically- we visited over 50 years ago and to see the improvements over the years was astounding. The evening meal on the terrace was unforgettable. Many, many thanks for all the memories.

The hotel was a most interesting and comfortable place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly responding quickly to requests, Breakfast was very good; i'd like to suggest the addition of a variety of fresh fruits and yoghurts would make it perfect. A little more attention to cleanliness around plug sockets would be nice. The hotel is very well located for the river and the town. Parking was adequate. I would certainly stay again.
