The kitchen is well outfitted with lots of space and the bedrooms have comfortable beds. The living room has plenty of room for lounging in. The lovely little patio is too small for medium sized dogs to hang out in, so you can walk them over to a green space across the street.The hot water requires some adjustment in the upstairs bathroom, so you might have someone show you how.We loved the location and could just fit our van into the garage.

Street parking is limited so immediately upon arrival, our stay became stress free. The house is centrally located, walking distance from the water and restaurants. However, a car is suggested to go to nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey. The house is super clean and has all the amenities of home. The WiFi can be a bit spotty on the bottom and top floors but the main floor is fast and reliable. The grand room is spacious with a large-screen tv. The kitchen has all the appliances and cooking supplies you desire. There's a bbq on the patio but we didn't use it. FYI, we did contact the property management about the WiFi and they communicated immediately and offered to send a technician to address the issue but it wasn't that bad since we weren't home alot. I highly recommend this property and the customer service that goes along with the rental.

My family and I had a great time at this property. It was perfect for our family. Great walking distance to beach and downtown Pacific Grove. Property is great if you’re traveling with a pet, as there’s a park across the street and a small fenced in yard in front of the home. Only thing that we wish we would have known in advance is that there’s only one TV in the home.

Well equipped kitchen, except for no kitchen knives and a bit awkward layout and cabinetry (like a small apartment kitchen). Knives were provided near the end of our stay, it was difficult to reach management. Our main issue was the furniture and bedding wasn’t comfortable to us. The king bed mattress was concave and extremely soft. All the seating was similar. At this price point, that was disappointing. We were happy our dogs were allowed at the house but it was a bit tricky with the lack of easy yard access, had to leash them to take them out (only exterior doors are in bedrooms that had our sleeping people in them). Because of the cabinets located in at the end of the garage, we were unable to use the garage, which was another benefit we selected this home for. Overall, this home seemed set up for online photos but not comfort.

Nice clean and great location. Three levels, my 83 year old mom was with us, the stairs were a bit much for her. If you don’t mind Stairs, this is a wonderful location.

Two of the kids shared the twin with trundle bed and the other luxuriated in a queen bed and they all shared the downstairs bath,with only one fight due to half bath on 2nd floor. The 2nd floor was a really comfortable living room and a separate sitting room. Kitchen was central and we only cooked a few times but easy to use everything. Master was on top floor with a comfortable bed and soaking tub my husband said was great. The layout of the house encouraged interactions but also gave everyone space. Short walk to Lighthouse ave restaurants and shops and Lover’s point.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Caledonia Bay. Property was very spacious with a huge family room, good size kitchen and dining area, along with 3 ample bedrooms. It was well cleaned and stocked with necessary essentials. Location is close to perfect, about a 5 minute walk to the water and downtown. Big Sur, 17 mile drive, all close by The price point while a bit higher than other properties, is well worth it if you value size and location. If we find our way back to the Monterey we would strongly consider staying here again

Beautiful house, great location for walking, efficient and attentive hosts.

There were 5 of us that stayed in this beautiful home. We were participating in the Big Sur Marathon and this location and home worked perfectly. The location is walking distance to lover's point which is relaxing and beautiful with good restaurants. The main drag of lighthouse Ave with shops and restaurants is only two blocks up up from the house. Everything inside was clean, they left wine, cheese, and crackers, it was lovely. I had to contact them because we set off a smoke alarm with the steam from the shower and maintenance was fast and extremely helpful!! Overall, great stay and we would definitely come back!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Caledonia Lookout - what a lovely home! Exactly as described, open and airy and amazing location! 2 short blocks to the fabulous downtown area with cafes and amazing restaurants, 2 even shorter blocks to Lover’s Point Cove and amazing walks on the bluff - sea otters everywhere! Highly recommended, can’t wait for our return visit

Great location, very nice house perfect for our family getaway. Especially enjoyed the coastal walk (1.2 miles to aquarium in Monterey) and being close to restaurants in Pacific Grove. An entrance to 17 mile drive is close and it was about a mile to the Monterey bay aquarium with cannery row and 2 blocks to a wonderful beach and the lighthouse and monarch butterfly preserve is close.

As noted in the description -- there are (many) stairs in the lovely home. :>) The SVC team was wonderfully helpful in getting us a prompt replacement coffee pot when the one in the house broke. Superb!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Caledonia Lookout - what a lovely home! Exactly as described, open and airy and amazing location! 2 short blocks to the fabulous downtown area with cafes and amazing restaurants, 2 even shorter blocks to Lover’s Point Cove and amazing walks on the bluff - sea otters everywhere! Highly recommended, can’t wait for our return visit

Very comfortable stay! Loved the fully stocked kitchen with quality dishes and everything needed to make meals at home. Perfect location, close to downtown and our little one loved the park across the street.

The location is incredible with a less than 5 minute walk to Lover's Point Park. The main living area is on the 2nd floor with living room, kitchen, and dining room. Two bedrooms are on the lower entrance-level and the master is on the 3rd floor. Pacific Grove is a dream and we can't wait to return. Will definitely book with Sanctuary again.

Great location, very nice house perfect for our family getaway. Especially enjoyed the coastal walk (1.2 miles to aquarium in Monterey) and being close to restaurants in Pacific Grove. House had everything we needed, highly recommend and would 1000% stay again. Many thanks for wine & snacks on arrival!

Reviewer Comments: The home was in a great location with many restaurants and a local grocery and many shopping businesses in easy walking distance but still a private feeling to the home which overlooks a park. An entrance to 17 mile drive is close and it was about a mile to the Monterey bay aquarium with cannery row and 2 blocks to a wonderful beach and the lighthouse and monarch butterfly preserve is close.
