Just fabulous!! Check in was so friendly and helpful and the whole place is just gorgeous…. Food and wine was gorgeous and so reasonably priced too… this place is a definite winner…

It was lovely to stay in a French chateau in the Loire Valley. Chateau de L'Aubriere is a characterful and lovingly restored building and as such is naturally a bit quirky. Our room was a little small for the price, although the bathroom and shower were amazing. Be aware if you have mobility problems that if you are on the second floor, there are a lot of stairs. It was great to swim in the pool although it could have been a little cleaner. The breakfast area is cramped but I understand that it is sometimes difficult to repurpose old spaces to modern uses. The staff were lovely, and overall I would definitely recommend a stay.

Mostly good. Bar service was slow at times and unfortunately we could not open our windows because of a bee hive being treated outside. Room was clean, staff friendly and welcoming.
