Bellissima esperienza. L'albergo si è rivelato un vero sogno, molto mogliore di quanto ci aspettavamo. La piscina molto comoda e con acqua gradevole, non fredda, nonostante fuori fosse brutto e freddo. Informo che nelle camere non c'è la TV. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura.

My room "overlooked the pool" but it wasn't in the Chateau. It was below the Chateau in what probably was a storage room built into rock. To reach the room you walk along a gravel path so you can't roll a suitcase easily. Room has a wood and glass rickety door that was extremely difficult to lock. Spacious clean bedroom with one small electric wall-heater. The room smelled very musty on arrival, no TV, no safe, no fridge, spiders, nice bathroom but nowhere to put soap etc in the shower other than the floor. Lighted mirror didn't work. Many outdoor stone steps to climb if you wanted to go to the restaurant. Definitely a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues.

Staff were fantastic!! No lighting on our floor; very dark. Separate toilet as you enter room was odd and old style. No holder for toilet paper? Main bathroom nice reno. Many doors and unused space. Carpet should be replaced. No tv. Disappointing breakfast buffet.

Bad ist stark renovierungsbedürftig Zimmer war einigermaßen okay, aber Preis-Leistung stimmt leider garnicht. Bett war schmal und die Kopfkissen hart…. Das wirklich positive war nur das Dinner! Das Gebäude an sich ist sehr schön.

A lovely setting, friendly and helpful staff. Good location to visit the many Chateaux in the region. Nice pool, seemed to have the place almost to ourselves. Stables rooms near pool are spacious and comfortable although there is a bit of a damp smell, no proper shower and some fittings (bath taps, curtains, cupboards) looked worn and ill-fitting and with some stains.

La habitación que reservamos fue junto a la alberca y además de muy rústica y vieja la habitación, la cama era muy dura y el olor en general como a humedad. El castillo es precioso pero al menos ESE cuarto no lo recomiendo.

Charming old castle, but not the best amenities. No TV, no AC. (Yes it IS an old castle.) Not many food options at the hotel or in the town. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, but a fixed price menu and a bit high-end/expensive and not open on Sunday and Monday. And the breakfast option was just the buffet which is not worth it for a light eater like me. The room had an espresso maker but the supplies were not replenished daily - no creamer, and clean cups and glasses were not replenished daily (nor were the towels). So we had to drive several kilometers to get food and coffee every morning. But the staff was very friendly and the ambience was serene and relaxing.

What a unique experience staying here! We rented the room made in a cave! It was super cool! A beautiful castle! The breakfast was so yummy! The front desk and dining staff are all super welcoming and friendly!

We stayed in a castle! Had a lovely view and a great dinner. We arrived too late to explore the area around the chateau or take advantage of the pool, but we had a restful night's sleep a good breakfast and dinner. There was no AC, so we slept with open windows. The experience was well worth it.

MAGNIFIQUE ! Je n’ai pas les mots pour decrire ce moment de pur bonheur. Personnel discret et attentionne, petit dejeuner complet avec vue sur la vallee. Notre chambre a ete changee a la suite d’un probleme de wifi. Nous avons eu une suite de 2 chambres au chateau : royal ! Merci encore a tout le personnel !

El edificio y el enclave son impresionantes, sin embargo hay varios puntos que necesitan mejorar: Cuando hagas tu reserva asegúrate de que duermes dentro del chateau si eso es lo que quieres. Nosotros reservamos habitación con “vistas a la piscina” y resulta que esto era en un anexo junto a la piscina. La habitación que nos dieron junto a la piscina no tenía ni aire acondicionado, ni nevera ni TV… los dos últimos puntos no nos importan, pero con las temperaturas actuales en verano no es aceptable estar sin aire acondicionado. Cuando protestamos en recepción nos dijeron,de muy malas formas, que si no ponía en la descripción de la habitación que tenía aire acondicionado es q que no lo tenía!!!!… entiendo entonces que si no pone que tiene baño es que no lo tiene dentro de la habitación?!…. Con el coste que tiene la habitación en Agosto es de esperar una habitación “completa”. El check-in es entre las 3 y las 4 de la tarde per no nos dieron la habitación hasta pasadas las 5 de la tarde… Conseguimos que la primera noche nos dieran una habitación con aire acondicionado dentro del chateau (que realmente era muy buena), pero tuvimos que pasar ka segunda noche en el anexo de la piscina la segunda noche.

J’écris cet avis afin d’éviter à certains de tomber dans le même piège que mon amie et moi en cet été 2024. En effet, vous serez sans doute séduits par les photos de l’endroit, qui est superbe : un château dans la verdure avec piscine. On envisage alors un séjour romantique et luxueux. Grosse déception en arrivant dans la chambre : une véritable fournaise sous les toits, avec une clim mobile aussi inefficace que bruyante, du genre avec gros tuyau qui passe à travers un carreau, et le plus petit lit possible pour 2 personnes. Pas de volets, ce qui arrive, mais pas non plus de rideaux occultants ! Résultats, deux mauvaises nuits à transpirer collés l’un contre l’autre (sur un matelas sans protège matelas) et réveillés à l’aube par le jour ! N’espérez pas non plus trouver certains équipements pourtant classiques dans ce type d’hôtel : - Pas de TV - Pas de mini réfrigérateur - Pas de machine à café - Pas même une bouilloire Bref, nous ne connaissons pas les suites de l’établissement, mais on a payé très cher pour une chambre qui ne vaut pas 2 étoiles et ne remplit pas le rôle de base d’un hôtel : que les gens passent une bonne nuit.

My room "overlooked the pool" but it wasn't in the Chateau. It was below the Chateau in what probably was a storage room built into rock. To reach the room you walk along a gravel path so you can't roll a suitcase easily. Room has a wood and glass rickety door that was extremely difficult to lock. Spacious clean bedroom with one small electric wall-heater. The room smelled very musty on arrival, no TV, no safe, no fridge, spiders, nice bathroom but nowhere to put soap etc in the shower other than the floor. Lighted mirror didn't work. Many outdoor stone steps to climb if you wanted to go to the restaurant. Definitely a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues.

Charming old castle, but not the best amenities. No TV, no AC. (Yes it IS an old castle.) Not many food options at the hotel or in the town. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, but a fixed price menu and a bit high-end/expensive and not open on Sunday and Monday. And the breakfast option was just the buffet which is not worth it for a light eater like me. The room had an espresso maker but the supplies were not replenished daily - no creamer, and clean cups and glasses were not replenished daily (nor were the towels). So we had to drive several kilometers to get food and coffee every morning. But the staff was very friendly and the ambience was serene and relaxing.

We so looked forward to our stay but our trip was interrupted by a robbery and loss of passports and credit cards. We immediately contacted the US Embassy and cancelled all remaining reservations. When contacting this Chateau, 2 different times, we were told that no refunds would be given. The cancellation request was days before date of arrival. We did not change our minds, we had no way to even pay for the stay! Very disappointing

El edificio y el enclave son impresionantes, sin embargo hay varios puntos que necesitan mejorar: Cuando hagas tu reserva asegúrate de que duermes dentro del chateau si eso es lo que quieres. Nosotros reservamos habitación con “vistas a la piscina” y resulta que esto era en un anexo junto a la piscina. La habitación que nos dieron junto a la piscina no tenía ni aire acondicionado, ni nevera ni TV… los dos últimos puntos no nos importan, pero con las temperaturas actuales en verano no es aceptable estar sin aire acondicionado. Cuando protestamos en recepción nos dijeron,de muy malas formas, que si no ponía en la descripción de la habitación que tenía aire acondicionado es q que no lo tenía!!!!… entiendo entonces que si no pone que tiene baño es que no lo tiene dentro de la habitación?!…. Con el coste que tiene la habitación en Agosto es de esperar una habitación “completa”. très très beau château, un bâtiment rare qui a lui seul mérite le détour, c est un vrai très grand château , j avais une chambre supérieure, elle venait d'être refaite, plutôt convenable, très grande avec une grande salle de bain toute neuve avec douche l italienne, par ailleurs se ballader dans le bâtiment est très interessant, un peu plus loin que notre chambre au deuxième étage une petite chapelle, puis un escalier donne sur ce qui était la salle de garde; je conseille vivement ce château en hotel par contre le restaurant, a éviter le service est complètement nul, 3 personnes, dont deux qui n ont aucun sens du service, l une coure de table en table, vous avez l impression d être a la cantine, il faut dire qu il manque du personnel, tant que la restauration n est pas prise en main il faut éviter, si je dois noter l hotel, je donnerais 8/10, car le château se chissay vaut qu on le choisisse, la retauratio. 6/10 en qualité de repas et 1/10 en service de table

Hotels.com did not request advance payment of 30%, but the hotel insisted it. After all we were invoiced that amount. We had to proof the payment done at the hotel, because Chissay hotel front desk did not have info of our downpayment (we sent several reminder e-mails and one phone call to get confirmation of the pre payment). Otherwise the hotel experience was good, but prepare for the ”time sloap of some decades backwords” in a nice way. Breakfast service had some difficulties with shortage of food in tables.

A lovely setting, friendly and helpful staff. Good location to visit the many Chateaux in the region. Nice pool, seemed to have the place almost to ourselves. Stables rooms near pool are spacious and comfortable although there is a bit of a damp smell, no proper shower and some fittings (bath taps, curtains, cupboards) looked worn and ill-fitting and with some stains.

El lugar está de sueño si quieres conocer y vivir la experiencia de dormir en un castillo alejado de toda civilización, no hay lugares cerca y Ambossi es lo más cercano a 20 minutos en auto. El servicio es excelente y las habitaciones muy espaciosas. La bañera complicada para gente adulta pero en general muy recomendable

Absolutely wonderful experience! The chateau is impeccable with all of the necessary accommodations. The staff were so very nice & helpful. We had dinner one night there & is was unforgettable. Delicious, beautiful & romantic. Their breakfasts were a feast as well. Plus the lovely swimming pool. Bravo to Chateau-en-Chissey!

Übernachten in einem Schloss ist was spezielles und genau dies wird geboten. Service ist freundlich und persönlich. Das Zimmer ist geräumig, mit Klimaanlage aufgerüstet und genügend sauber. Im Bad sollte man beweglich sein, da sonst nicht geduscht werden kann und es besteht Rutschgefahr. Auch das Nachtessen im Schloss-Restaurant ist empfehlenswert, obschon mit den kleinen Portionen mit viel zu hohen Preisen der Hunger nicht gestillt wird. Keinesfalls ein Zimmer beim Pool buchen, da man sonst ausserhalb des Schlosses übernachtet (steht leider nirgends im Beschrieb). Für den Pool gibt's keine Bademäntel oder Umziehmöglichkeiten und trotzdem muss man durch die Lobby.

Beautiful chateau at the top of the hill. Love the history. Room booked was unavailable but they moved us into a lovely suite that was perfect for our family. Baby cot provided was great quality. Breakfast buffet was a good variety of breads, meats, cheeses, fruits, and yogurts. We also booked dinner for one night, and so happy we did. We had the chef’s menu with the wine pairing and all of it was delightful.

We loved our stay in this beautiful chateau which is very good value for money. The breakfast is a bit expensive compared to the value, 18€ pr. Person pr. Day, but since the castle is located in a beautiful rural area, we didn’t have other options, so we enjoyed the hotel-breakfast. The restaurants is also slightly expensive. We would have eaten there more if there was an option to choose one main course, and not three courses. Some parts could use renovation/modifications, and the pool could become more cozy with plants or more parasols, but all in all the room and stay was good value for money. Staff was overall super kind and helpful.

Rooms were filled with historic furniture. That’s for very comfortable and the bathrooms with the wall mosaics made it really feel romantic. Dinner was awesome there and to buy pairings for excellent. Breakfast area was very nice with outside seating as part of the offering

My room "overlooked the pool" but it wasn't in the Chateau. It was below the Chateau in what probably was a storage room built into rock. To reach the room you walk along a gravel path so you can't roll a suitcase easily. Room has a wood and glass rickety door that was extremely difficult to lock. Spacious clean bedroom with one small electric wall-heater. The room smelled very musty on arrival, no TV, no safe, no fridge, spiders, nice bathroom but nowhere to put soap etc in the shower other than the floor. Lighted mirror didn't work. Many outdoor stone steps to climb if you wanted to go to the restaurant. Definitely a challenging place for anyone with mobility issues.
