Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux-Arts

Hotel 4 étoiles avec facilités 4 étoiles, un peu ancien maintenant, situé en pleine zone commerciale centrale de Lyon, entre Saône et Rhône, à 150m de la place Bellecour. Personnel très accueillant. Nombreux restaurants à disposition autour. Un point noir: pas de possibilité de se garer à moins de 42 euros les 24h ! A prendre en compte dans le budget d'un long séjour.

Chambre standard très petite, femmes de ménage le matin très bruyantes on oublie la grasse matinée. Faut éviter l'encombrement du petit déjeuner. Pas de parking ni de prix sur parking Privé. Très bien situé, bon lit et bonne climatisation.

This hotel is beautiful! Very well situated for discovering the amazing city of Lyon. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. The privilege room was very spacious, the bed was super comfortable and the view was wonderful. We enjoyed having a cocktail (or two) at the bar near reception where the staff were efficient and friendly.

Nice hotel, although parking wasn’t easy. The hotel found a headset we left and called us promptly, this was really nice of them and we could pick them up before we left.

Clean, conveniently located, nicely appointed, staffed with very friendly folks. The small reception area doubles as the bar and on-site dining (including room service) is limited.

Terrific location but extremely challenging to get to by car. GPS does not recognize that many streets surrounding the hotel are pedestrian-only or restricted access. Wish we had known that before to make getting there a little easier

Fantastisk beliggenhed, men lidt udfordrende at komme dertil fra lufthavnen med offentlig transport. God service i receptionen og god rengøring. Morgenmaden var middel og hotellet virker en smule slidt. Men Lyon og området hotellet ligger i er bestemt et besøg værd.

Very central hotel with super convenient parking! You are steps away from everything. The staff are very kind and helpful: they helped us make a reservation for an authentic Lyon bouchon restaurant that was one of the best meals of our entire trip! The room is well-sized: only drawback is that the heat is central so the thermostat in the room may not be adjustable depending on the season. Breakfast is quite nice (fresh orange juice station!) but pricey. All in all, lovely hotel.

Hôtel idéalement situé place des Jacobins, à 2 pas de la place Bellecour, en plein centre de Lyon et entouré des artères commerçantes et de nombreux restaurants. On peut faire la plupart des activités et visites de Lyon à pied au départ de l'hôtel. L'hôtel ne possède pas de parking, mais le parking de la République est accessible très facilement à pied (moins de 5 minutes). En plus on y accède très facilement en voiture (entrée et sortie à partir des quais du Rhône). Taille des chambres correctes pour un hôtel de centre-ville (environ 20 m²) et chambres très propres. Personnel extrêmement agréable. Un seul bémol : la salle du petit-déjeuner qui est trop petite avec une capacité insuffisante par rapport au nombre de chambres ce qui provoque des engorgements le week-end (nous y étions un samedi et un dimanche) lorsque les clients descendent déjeuner entre 9h et 10h. Le personnel se ''démène'' comme il pour faire patienter les clients en proposant un café au bar du rendez-de-chaussée, un service en chambre, ou de les appeler lorsqu'une place se libérera, mais c'est un point négatif dont il faut tenir compte si vous avez un transport à prendre ou un rendez-vous ... C'est dommage car le buffet est très bien et le personnel très serviable mais il est obligé de composer avec cette salle sous-dimensionnée. C'est le seul point noir de l'hôtel d'où le retrait d'une étoile sur la note globale, car sinon, l'hôtel les mérite amplement. Hôtel néanmoins, bien évidemment, à recommander.

Grundsätzlich waren wir zufrieden. Die Lage ist top und das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider war die Sauberkeit nicht so gut. Es waren noch Haare an den Wänden. Auf unsere Reklamation wurde uns gesagt, dass das gereinigt wird, aber dem war nicht so. Und wir würden es bevorzugen, wenn es kein Teppichboden ist. Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Very good hotel that is recommend. Great central location, very clean with contemporary styling. Rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday. Staff were wonderful during our stay, very polite and they always had a smile. Being English you worry the French may not take to you but the staff here were exceptional

Clean rooms, very close to many Lyon attractions, wonderful restaurants, bars, and cafés, and Vieux Lyon with all its charm. The service was polite and accommodating.

Firstly, the staff is and are wonderful. Friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable about the city and its amenities. The rooms, however, are awful. Dirty and unkept.

The hotel could not be in a better position for dining, walking, shopping and transport. The young staff were very friendly and helpful. The one niggle we had was the toilet and shower are in separate rooms and the toilet room was really small. Having said that my wife and I plan going back to Lyon and when we do it will hopefully be this hotel we stay in.

This is a lovely hotel. Great location. Get a privilege room. Sound proof. If I come back to Lyon which I hope to do I will stay here.

Two things that are very important to me for a hotel are location and the ability to get a good nights sleep. This hotel has both. It’s very solidly built, so it’s nice and quiet in the room, and it’s within walking distance of a lot of things to do and see. I personally didn’t care for the bathroom, since there is no separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, which results in the whole floor getting wet, but that’s personal preference. Good breakfast, too.

Beautiful hotel, excellent and helpful staff (especially Camilla), very large room (privilege room is worth the upgrade). Close to old city and everything we wanted to see. Unfortunately the noise in the street and square was almost unbearable with noise until 3:00am (cars, motorcycles, scooters, yelling - all being loud as possible). Saturday night it went on until 5:00am. The windows were thick and sealed out most of the sound but the air conditioning was inadequate so we had to open the windows.

It was a great location and a clean place with nice staff but the air conditioning system was not working and it was particularly hot while sleeping.

Very nice property. This hotel is wonderfully located and walkable to most attractions! Helpful and multilingual front desk staff who helped us orient to the area and always gave recommendations for great places to visit and eat.

Exceptional service from Elise and Mila. I lost my bag on a train and they both showed a lot of perseverance and patience trying to help me contact SCNF lost property. Mila also showed ingenuity to find where our river cruise boat was moored. Both deserve the highest commendation. A third lady recommended a restaurant for us that we enjoyed so much we ate there three days in a row. The breakfast was very good and a good price. The location is excellent.

The Mercure Lyon Centre Beaux Arts hotel is conveniently located between 2 major metro stations with plenty of shopping and restaurant options at all price points. The hotel is clean and the staff is cheerful and helpful. I had a few issues with this property. The day before I left for Lyon, the hotel contacted me to advise that my room had been involuntarily downgraded to a standard room without my permission despite having prepaid for a premium room which is 100 sq ft larger with more perks. Upon arrival, the front desk confirmed my downgrade and assured me that to compensate for the inconvenience of the downgrade, that my room would have a Nespresso coffee machine robes, slippers, as well as a stocked mini bar provided during our stay. I was also assured that a refund of the difference in the price of the downgrade would be given to Expedia for them to issue back to me. It has been just over a week and I haven't received nor heard from Expedia refunding the price difference as advised by the hotel. Also upon entering our room, no robes/slippers were there, only 2 small bottles of water in the mini bar and powdered instant coffee with a kettle to warm the water were in our room. We mentioned this to the front desk staff and everything was in our room the next day. They apologized and confirmed the refund of charges for the downgrading of the room. Again, it's been over a week and no advice on the progress of our refund has been received from the hotel nor from Expedia.

We had a delightful time at this hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating and did everything to make our stay pleasant and convenient. They made or confirmed dinner reservations and gave excellent directions to places and to public transportation. We cannot recommend this property enough!

Perfekt beliggende hotell i Lyon. God seng, gratis vann i kjøleskap. Bra renhold og bytte av handklær. Ok. men dyr frokost i en altfor liten frokostsal.

A good 4-star hotel, well located but on a busy road. Rooms on the courtyard have a very close view to other rooms. Breakfast is good but the breakfast room is very small and not well organised. When all tables are full, guests are told to come back later.
