The hotel had an unloved feel. The shower drain was almost completely blocked and the shower controls needed servicing. The linens were fine and the bed comfortable. The location was excellent but parking extremely limited; only a few spots for guests. I’m not keen to recommend it to others.

Nice centric hotel - 7 euros for the parking- the lady in front desk was very polite and she assigned me a parking that the night front desk guy gave to someone else and I ended at the very back and dark area 10 points to the lady and 2 points to the guy

Hotel was dated and desperately needs updating. Carpet in room was stained & dirty. Shower fitting was broken. Bed was comfortable. Room needed a good clean & maintenance. The hotel didn't deserve a 3 star rating.

De passage à Pau pour 24h, séjour très décevant concernant la chambre d'hôtel. Nous avions choisi la chambre Deluxe, mais la salle de bain et les toilettes sont horibles (clou au sol, pas propre, latte de lino avec des interstices, joints avec moisissure...). Les toilettes sont très peu éclairé et sans aération... Je ne recommande pas cet établissement surtout au vu du prix payé ! Le seul point positif est l'emplacement de l'hôtel.

De passage à Pau pour 24h, séjour très décevant concernant la chambre d'hôtel. Wat ouder hotel met een hobbelige vloer op de kamer, vervallen raamkozijn met enkel glas en afgebladderde verf. Gelukkig was de natte cel al wel gerenoveerd en het bed comfortabel. Gezien de bescheiden prijs is de prijs/kwaliteits verhouding toch goed, omdat in die prijs ook nog eens het ontbijt verwerkt is wat in buffetborm wordt gepresenteerd.

Ils ne décrochent pas au téléphone, j'ai appelé plusieurs fois pour le parking et le petit-déjeuner, puis j'ai réessayé avant d'arriver pour savoir où se situait le parking, jamais de réponse. Quand j'arrive, à peine un bonjour, et que je demande le parking et me petit-déjeuner, on me dit quil fallait que j'appelle avant. Mais ok, ils ont quand même accepté. Très grand lit, assez confort, mais des cheveux sur les halèses, la propreté générale laisse a désirer.. je ne recommande pas et n'y retournerais pas

We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences. And the location in Pau is perfect for the visitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and made the extra effort to ensure our satisfaction. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!

Close to the train station. They charge a "resort" fee which is ridiculous because it is nowhere near being a resort. Old building, so lots of dangerous edges to drop off if you are a senior. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good.

2 soirées étapes , personnel tres agréable parodoxal avec l’hôtel peu entretenu, dommage car il se trouve dans une de plus belle rue de Pau . Lit peu confortable, chambre grande , sans âme , pas de déco, isolation thermique et phonique inexistante, Dej : 12€ tres médiocre , pain et viennoiserie mise en place la veille pour le lendemain matin Tout est fait à l’envers sans compter que les serviettes de toilettes sont pliées par le personnel à l’accueil , on rêve !!!!

Lit peu confortable, chambre grande , sans âme , pas de déco, isolation thermique et phonique inexistante, Dej : 12€ tres médiocre , pain et viennoiserie mise en place la veille pour le lendemain matin Tout est fait à l’envers sans compter que les serviettes de toilettes sont pliées par le personnel à l’accueil , on rêve !!!!

Lo mejor del hotel es su ubicación, en el mismo centro de Pau, y la amabilidad de su personal. Ocupamos habitaciones dobles deluxe y necesitan sinceramente algunas mejoras. El buffet del desayuno, muy justito.

Room was very clean and staff ever helpful. The room across the hall was much nicer. Larger, sunny, and had a bathtub. I would have asked for it if I knew. Breakfast is a bargain.

Les plus : hôtel bien situé, calme, propre, très belle salle d'eau, superbe petit déjeuner. Les moins : j'avais réservé en voyant cette photo une chambre twin luxe. En fait, notre chambre était sous les combles, sans fenêtre, sans chauffage, et aménagée de façon spartiate.

Close to the train station. They charge a "resort" fee which is ridiculous because it is nowhere near being a resort. Old building, so lots of dangerous edges to drop off if you are a senior. The personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good.

Chambre confortable et spacieuse. Salle de douche bien agencé ,mauvais état de la robinetterie. Bon accueil à l arrivée ,vu personne au départ !!. Petit déjeuner buffet varié et copieux.

Chambre 207 avec fenêtres donnant sur climatiseur dans une cours intérieure. La porte de la salle de bain sert plus de paravent que de porte. La pression d’eau dans la salle de bain sert à se laver les mains mais prendre sa douche demande plus de patience. Beaucoup de monde ce week end dans l’hôtel, et la salle du petit déjeuner s’est avéré trop petite. Le petit déjeuner en lui même comportait le strict nécessaire, cher pour le contenu proposé.

We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences. And the location in Pau is perfect for the visitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and made the extra effort to ensure our satisfaction. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!
