Checked in late having travelled most of the day to be told breakfast finishes at 1030. Arrived at breakfast at 1020 to be seated in the ‘walkway’ due to the main restaurant being set up for lunch (1230) and a lot of the food not being replenished! Even after telling the reception staff of this and our first impressions being awful no apology received and a shrug of the shoulders! Room was tired and bed for daughter which should have been a double was a single. The spa area was closed and although we were advised a couple of days before hand it staggered me that they would do this over a busy Easter period. This isn’t and wasn’t a 5 star experience which was in complete contrast to the hotel we stayed in zermatt. Celebrating my wife’s 50th which although I mentioned upon booking was never recognized throughout our stay.

Stayed in the palace after accidentally booking the pavilion (which is the same as the annex - confusing room listings). Was not very full in late August so they were able to upgrade (for a fee) to the room I should have booked to start with. The annex building has large rooms from our few minutes in one but the whole building smells musty. The older building is more expensive but nicer and the rooms are still large. Service was very quick bringing bags and room service. The rooms are a bit older but relatively well maintained and nicely appointed. Easy walk to Versailles - it’s literally across the street to enter the gardens. Only thing we didn’t like is the pool has a weird rule that everyone must be in bathing attire, even if you’re not swimming and just there to supervise a kid. I thought that was a little intrusive but apparently wearing a bathrobe was acceptable, half expected the lady supervising the pool to insist on looking underneath. Made one of the reasons I picked the spot (pool for my child) a bit of a weird vibe instead of the perk I was looking for.

Het management en medewerkers zijn goed opgeleid, vriendelijk en adequaat, dank! Goede vallet parkingsservice, bagagehulp en fijn dat er een goed nachtmenu is bij late aankomst. Heerlijke bedden, goede nette staat badkamer, heerlijk badproducten. De kamers zelf zijn nog OK, maar interieur is wel langzamerhand toe aan een opknapbeurt.....maar prima verblijf en faciliteiten waaronder een spa en zwembad, het is ook heerlijk rustig en kalm.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location in the heart of Versailles adjacent to the palace. The staff was wonderful...can't say enough about them. Our room was nice, spotless, and the view of the garden beautiful! Negatives: small tear in the carpet, dark bathroom lighting, needs better air circulation especially after using the shower. That said, we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

BE CAREFUL with this hotel. It was biggest trap of a whole life of staying in hotel. Evrywhere there is photo of a beautiful palace and i have paid expensive price by thinking will be sleeping in palace but infact they take you to sleep in what i guess used to be the servant building and they tell we mentioned annexe building. Which is the feeling of biggest trap of life. On top i had a cockroach on the checking counter if i can upload the photo.

The leisure facilities are outdated, not very clean and overall more like what you’d get in an old council run leisure centre. Very strange to see in such an amazing hotel. The room was lovely But at dinner we found a large insect in the food (which in fairness when they saw they didn’t charge us for that meal) Expected better

In the bathroom there were hairs. The room temperature was hot and the windows could not been open. They said that was the temperature for every room and could not do anything. I did not sleep. They gave me a partial refund but my sleep was already lost.My view was a deteriorated patio with plastic on some broken windows. Plastic which was noisy when the wind blew it. Nightmare. See photo.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the in-room dining options. The property is situated in a lovely area, perfect for a quick stroll or run. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Pardon Monsieur. » « Non, monsieur, vous ne pouvez pas dîner à l’hôtel sans avoir réservé à l’avance, même si vous venez d’arrivez et que vous aviez signalé être accompagné d’une personne âgée handicapée. » « La climatisation de votre chambre ne fonctionne pas ? Nous pouvons mettre à disposition un ventilateur si vous le souhaitez »(elle sera toujours en panne à notre départ au mois d’août en pleine vague de chaleur, tout comme le téléphone de la chambre). Considérons que la pression de la douche est une mesure de développement durable… Pour atteindre la très belle piscine, il vous faudra passer par un long sous terrain sans charme. This is a magnificent property. In fact, it is hard to imagine a hotel more magnificent as it is literally right at the entrance to the palace of Versailles. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds amazing and it is ideally situated. The rooms are nice but not great, somewhat small. Also, the doors in the annex at least are built in such a way as to make them slam shut which resulted in our hearing doors slamming shut all night long.

Expensive, for a small, outdated, and very uncomfortable room. The height of the selling in the room was really not even 4-6 feet in some areas?!!! The room is outdated, no shower, only a bathtub, you walk between crowded furniture in the room, running into each other, and the furniture. you can not stand, condition of room is deteriorated, and in need of lot of work, elevators are very small, and staff are very difficult to deal with, only think they are interested in is your $. We will not return. Very disappointed.

A very nice property but absolutely terrible customer service we checked into the hotel and were not advised of the free parking from the valet but ended up being directed to a car park where we had to pay for overnight parking. We were not advised that there was free Wi-Fi in the rooms but asked to pay €10. We could not access the fridge to get the items out because they failed to release the lock and I called down to reception to speak with them. They did not answer calls - for 30 mins . They didn’t answer when I phoned the concierge and they didn’t answer when I phoned the person assistant so all in all very pretty hotel with very nice rooms but terribly badly run. Not what you expect for 800 euros per night

Everything was excellent. Special thank you to Esa at the front desk, who very patiently worked with us to ensure that we got all our connections to Le-Mont-Saint-Michel. He’s a treasure!!! Merci Beaucoup, Esa. Also, the staff at the restaurant (jardin), both at dinner and le petit déjeuner were all perfect. Of notable mention, the most comfortable bed ever. We didn’t want to leave:) Merci beaucoup, we’ll be back!

The location is superb. The concierge is useless. Concierge didn't respond to multiple e-mails before our stay and didn't return two phone calls. When we got to Versailles, concierge gave us incorrect information regarding restaurant opening times, which was annoying. Given the main attraction at Versailles is the palace and the location of the Waldorf is next to the palace, hard to beat. But avoid asking the concierge for anything; at best they will be useless or you may be unlucky (as we were) and they give you incorrect information.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating and helped us with an upgrade of our room. This hotel is very luxurious, beautiful and first class all the way. Excellent location to all sites restaurants in Versailles. I highly recommend this hotel!!

The best part is the access to the Versailles Gardens. I will be back! This was my second time visiting Paris and this location made the difference for me. The staff were so kind and the hotel grounds were impeccable. It was about a 35 minute train ride into Paris, which we did every day without complaint. The train station was within walking distance. I loved everything about my stay.

The hotel is elegant with beautiful grounds and has all the modern conveniences. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom was lovely. The Waldorf Astoria is also located next to Versailles place and grounds.

Compared to other Waldorf properties we have stayed at this one was underwhelming. The outside of the property was beautiful and location great. The room and inside of the hotel was not quite up to standards as just seemed worn down. Room and bedding was a plus as both were roomy. The Gordon Ramsey restaurant was a highlight of our stay and highly recommend during the stay. The service as always at Waldorf was fantastic and enjoyed our stay

Rendez-vous est déjà pris à la fin du mois pour l’anniversaire de ma femme ainsi que pour Noel. Nous adorons cet hôtel et avons toujours du mal à le quitter. Le restaurant La Véranda est très bon, le personnel est très attentionné et c’est toujours un plaisir de retrouver des personnes que nous connaissons depuis 8 ans. Un remerciement spécial à Elodie cette fois-ci pour ses attentions au petit déjeuner ; mais nous pourrions citer tellement de personnes. À noter que les enfants sont reçus avec beaucoup de plaisir et d’attention. Le SPA est un vrai plus et la piscine est exceptionnelle (sa rénovation est une réussite). Cet hôtel est un lieu plein de calme et de charme, un petit coin de paradis dans lequel nous nous sentons comme « à la maison ». Nous adorons !

The hotel is simply charming. The building is beautiful and our room was clean and spacious. The hotel provides an easy access to Versalles, and one can buy tickets at the concierge stand. The only downside is the food at Le Veranda restaurant. We had quite mixed experience. Couple of dishes were excellent, while others were absolutely inedible. The breakfast was simply bad. So they certainly need to up their game when it comes to the food

We appreciate the hospitality of the front desk reception when we arrived early. Our experienced with our stay was great except for the dining experience we had. By the way the food was great and the waiters were good overall except the one staff who seated us at our table. There were 3 tables available for two at that time, two in the middle & one by the window. She seated us at one of the middle table that we felt uncomfortable, so we asked to be moved by the window table for two, she said she will get back to us about that & she never did & never followed up on us. Then 2 guests came she also ushered them in the table for two in the middle but then they refused to seat and ask for a table by the window and immediately without hesitation she granted their request and totally ignored our first request. We are very disappointed by unjust & somewhat racist to us. On our way out I told her you never came back to follow up on us. We travel a lot and stayed in most of the best hotels out there and this is by far the worst service we’ve experience We we’re not treated fairly at this dining experience and ask the manager to address this issue with this particular individual.

Got a food poisoning from the restaurant, probably from meat. A hint of sewage smell in the common areas. Very overprized hotel. Rooms could need upgrade. Pleasant staff, but this hotel is in my opinion not worth the prize.

Great, relaxing stay at the end of a three week trip to France. Location is peaceful and in close proximity to Palace of Versailles. We were given an upgraded suite which was lovely as was the exceptional dinner at the restaurant Gordon Ramsay au Trianon. The staff member at check in was extremely personable and friendly
