Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer und schöner Parkanlage. Super Frühstück und sehr gastfreundliches Personal. Günstiges Parkhaus in der Nähe und Einlademöglichkeit auf Seite Parkanlage.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich. Pp wurde uns angeboten für 15€ / von 17-9 Uhr, sonst sehr teuer zu parken. Da wir mit dem Zug nach Monaco und Nizza wollten, mussten wir aber so um nichts kümmern. Wir hatten eine fantastischen Meerblick, Meeresrauschen. Das Frühstück war auch ok, von allem etwas. Dafür, dass es ein etwas älteres Gebäude ist, halten sie es gut in Schuss. Somit als Gesamtbewertung sehr gerne ein GUT.

Läget var utmärkt, nära stranden. En till hiss vore önskvärt, då hotellet har sex våningar. Blev ofta långa väntetider. Dick blev vi besvikna över bemötandet i receptionen. Vid hemresan hade vi blivit lovade tidig frukost (vilket ingick i priset). När vi kom ner till receptionen fanns ingen frukost, trots att den bokades och skrevs in i kalendern. Vi fick återvända till vårt rum, högst uop i hotellet och skulle återkomma om en kvart. När vi åkte ner för andra gången fick vi yogurt och ett bröd. Inget kaffe eller annan dryck.

This hotel boasts a fantastic location, just steps away from numerous restaurants and directly across the street from the beach. This was definitely a major plus! Our room was also a good size, providing ample space to relax. However, there were some areas where the hotel fell short of expectations. We were disappointed to find no refrigerator or coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Additionally, parking was not available on-site, which proved to be inconvenient. The breakfast left much to be desired; the selection was limited and repetitive each day. While the daytime receptionist was friendly and welcoming to new guests, she could be quite curt and unhelpful when we asked questions. A little more warmth and helpfulness would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. This hotel has the potential to be a real gem due to its prime location. However, addressing the issues with amenities, breakfast, and customer service would significantly elevate the experience for future guests.

We had a lovely room with a large terrace. The hotel has beautiful grounds and great views over the sea. Well located with the front doors taking you straight onto the bottom of the high street for easy reach of the shops, restaurants and old town, whilst the back provides access to the beach and many beachside bars. We missed having a pool but the sea is right opposite although the beach clubs at the main las sablettes beach are 15 mins walk.

Stayed in September. What a lovely place! beautiful garden full of huge palm trees, green grass and other plants. Sitting on the sea facing balcony we could listen to the birds. The road in front is not noisy at all. The view is amazing, you can watch sunrise from the balcony. There is a very big wide beach just in front of the hotel, ideal for swimming. Very convenient for all the restaurants on the promenade. We couldn’t have asked for better location! Breakfast in the garden is a pleasure. On Mondays and Wednesdays they also have a live piano in the evenings. The room was big and the bed was comfy. I really do not understand the negative comments about this hotel. We also stayed in another hotel a bit further away, that was two streets away from the beach and the street noise was bad, not mentioning lack of sea view. This hotel has it all- proximity to the town, restaurants, museum and cafes. Do not hesitate to stay here. It is a real gem.

Das Hotel an sich war sehr schön! Positiv: Besonders hervorzuheben sind die schöne Außenterrasse und der traumhafte Meerblick vom Balkon aus. Die Lage ist hervorragend – das Zentrum, der Strand, zahlreiche Geschäfte, Restaurants und auch das Casino sind fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am Abend sorgte live gespielte Klaviermusik für eine angenehme Atmosphäre und etwas Abwechslung. Negativ: Das Frühstück war leider etwas enttäuschend. Auch wenn in Frankreich ein einfaches Frühstück mit Croissant und Kaffee üblich ist, kommen viele internationale Gäste, die sich eine etwas größere Auswahl wünschen würden. Das Frühstücksbuffet wirkte eher wie in einer Kantine – hauptsächlich süße Speisen wie Nutella, Honig und Croissants! Dadurch geht etwas vom Charme des Hotels verloren. Vorschlag: Es wäre wünschenswert, auch etwas Herzhaftes wie frisches Gemüse (z. B. Tomaten, Gurken) anzubieten, um das Angebot ausgewogener zu gestalten. Die Sauberkeit war grundsätzlich in Ordnung, allerdings fanden wir bei der Ankunft noch Haare vom vorherigen Gast im Badezimmer – kein besonders angenehmer erster Eindruck. Abgesehen davon war das Zimmer jedoch in gutem Zustand.

Clean room nice size

The hotel is a bit tired. In need of a freshen up. The breakfast is very good. The bed was very comfortable and the terrace overlooking the sea was fantastic. Unfortunately our room smelt of sewers on arrival. Once we used the bathroom the smell went but it was very unpleasant. I suspect the drainage hasn’t got a non return valve fitted. There were some large pieces of white broken crockery on our terrace on arrival. I cleared it up myself as I couldn’t be bothered calling reception. However, For €250 a night it’s not very good. Menton is a beautiful destination. Too busy in August. Lots of restaurants and shops. May/June and September are more favourable for a visit. Highly recommended to visit. Don’t visit Ventigmilia. It’s full of immigrants and police as it’s a border town and feels very unsafe. I was pick-pocketed on the train in Nice but I stopped the girl getting away with my wallet. Another guy had his money stolen. Be careful!

Hjälpsam personal. Fantastisk terrass och havsutsikt. Ok frukost men absolut inga grönsaker! Goda trerätters middagar. Tyvärr helt ostädad smutsig terrass vid ankomst. Smutsiga matbord utomhus. Gammalmodig TV. Inget kylskåp på rummet. Men vi hade trots en del missar en mycket trevlig vistelse.

Personal wirkte oft distanziert - gezwungen freundlich Tabletts vom Frühstück noch unangenehm nass nach Reinigung Teller werden im feuchten Zustand gestapelt und nehmen dadurch unangenehmen Geruch an Terrasse mit Taubendreck, der mehrere Tage nicht entfernt wurde Hotelzimmer was schön gemütlich, sehr schöner Blick aufs Meer Je nach Reinigungskraft war das Bad teilweise nicht gut gereinigt,Betten schlampig gemacht

Royal Westminster direkt an der Strandpromenade klingt toll? Klingt es, ist es aber nicht. Vor Jahren dürftig renoviert, dennoch blättert es überall - sowohl im Zimmer als auch in den allgemeinen Räumen. Die Toilette war alles andere als sauber (inkl. den Wänden). Das Frühstücks-Buffet hat den Namen Buffet nicht verdient. Man kann dort übernachten, mehr als das ist es aber nicht.

Nel complesso esperienza sufficiente, molto bene il personale, buona colazione così come la cena. Ottima posizione rispetto alla spiaggia e al centro di Mentone. Da rivedere la manutenzione complessiva, ma soprattutto la pulizia camera veramente scarsa.

Needs updated furnishings and paint. Ceiling was peeling. Smells old and dirty. Breakfast was provided, not up to a Hampton Inn breakfast.

I paid for a delux room with sea view balcony. Upon check in was given a room with windows you had to stand up to look out. When I complained and showed them on their website the room category I booked, they said that the balcony is just in the picture but not guaranteed. I showed them had a pic of the room I was given in a cheaper room category but they insisted it was “different”. Don’t get tricked!!

Had a nice view, the room was old but clean… it was October this time of year they can not have the air on … so the room was too warm and had to have the front desk bring a fan to make it comfortable to sleep at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was ok just dated and the grounds and planters need to be cleaned up.

Prachtig oud (fin de siècle) hotel. Het hotel ligt direct aan het strand en tegen het oude centrum van Menton. Alles is op loopafstand. Onze hotelkamer had zeezicht met een balkon met een zitje. De kamer heeft een prima groot bed en een ruime badkamer met uitstekende regendouche. Uitstekend ontbijt met veel verschillende mogelijkheden. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Menton is a lovely place to stay and the hotel is conveniently located across the road from the beach, near the centre of the old town and a short walk from the station. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby, and some beautiful gardens to visit. Transport links are good so a day trip to Nice or into Italy is simple. A warning about the beach, getting in and out of the water is tricky. The hotel is a handsome old building but there has been a lack of investment in recent years. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a large comfortable room, which was kept in a good state of cleanliness by the staff. But there was some peeling paint, the shower door needed a seal at the bottom to stop the bathroom floor flooding, the TV didn't get the channels it was supposed to, the a/c wasn't up to the task in a heat wave though after a few days a technician was able to turn it up a notch. I would have given the hotel 4 stars, but the real let down was the restaurant. Breakfast offered the usual range but a very limited selection and poor replenishment. Self-service on trays made it feel like the works canteen. We tried to have dinner our first night but it was only for those on half board with a no choice set menu. Lunch was also unavailable when we arrived at 1.20 although it was billed to finish at 1.30. I suspect management is cutting corners on maintenance and has insufficient kitchen staff to cope, which is a pity because it could be a really super hotel.

Chose this hotel based on location and air conditioning. Room was no cooler than outside.

L’hôtel bénéficie d’un cadre magnifique, avec un personnel très accueillant et professionnel. Le seul bémol concerne la chambre côté rue, particulièrement bruyante — je la déconseille aux personnes au sommeil léger. Le petit-déjeuner mériterait également d’être amélioré

Ideal location and nice size room. Balcony isn’t very big, but great views, very expensive for what we got. The hotel needs updating in places and the bathroom/toilet room wasn’t very clean. The weather was quite hot when we arrived (9th May), there was no air conditioning, so asked at reception and was advised it wasn’t air conditioning weather yet, so the system was still on heat. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choice and the staff are lovely.

Excellent hotel with unbeatable views of the sea front. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and were even able to loan me a UK to EU charging adapter for my phone. Only downside is that the rooms have no fridge. Would be great if the hotel could offer these in select rooms in the future. :)

So disappointing. Booked a Privilege Room expecting to arrive mid-afternoon. Due to train delays arrived @ 8 pm. Because we had so little time, requested a change to a sea view room. Young man said, "Let me see what we can do." Young woman, presuming I can't understand French, said to him to make us pay 55 Euros for a change. Now, the cost of a regular sea room vs a privilege room is NOT an increase. Yet she refused to let him make the change without an exhorbitant fee, despite the hotel being fairly empty (saw almost no one at breakfast.) Tired, disappointed, went to our room. "Privilege"? It looked like a mediocre chain hotel. Furnishings, bedding, everything was mediocre, no style, did not match advertised description. Noise of motorcycles from the street was non-stop. FIRST hotel I've been in for years that did not provide bottled water. (We are Gold Expedia so we stay - in 2025 spent 50 nights in hotels). Breakfast: very ordinary chain hotel buffet. Nothing was offered to order. At 7:30 am over cooked dried sausage & bacon, runny scrambled eggs or boil-your-own hardboiled eggs. Small selectons of fruit, baked goods, cereals. One machine for coffee. After breakfast wanted to go for a walk, asked if the hotel provided bottled water - the answer? "Only very large bottles." Went for our walk, reception seeing us come bac asked if we still wanted water... No one we interacted with seemed to like their job. Nothing about this hotel is good except the location. NEVER again.

The staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Sandra on Reception. Fantastic location, can walk everywhere easily and great train route for other town, villages and beaches. Breakfast is great and will keep you full until late afternoon. We will definitely return!

Personnel adorable. Séjour réservé pour ma maman avec ma fille. Grand mère comme petite fille ont adoré, et elles m’ont dit de préciser « mention spéciale à la dame de l’accueil, d’une gentillesse incroyable ». Merci à vous !

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Westminster. The room was a great size and the sea view was just breathtaking. The room was wonderfully clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly. It has an old world charm with all the modern comforts. It is situated right on the beach and on the edge of the old town - so a perfect location. We had a wonderful 3 nights in Menton and I would highly recommend the Royal Westminster.

Staff cordialissimo e disponibile, posizione impeccabile

The balcony view is amazing. The staff, specifically Maria, was very accommodating and helpful. They spoke English, held on to my luggage when I arrived early, and let me check into my room 1.5 hrs earlier than check in time since it was done being cleaned. They let me borrow the beach chair and umbrella as well during my stay. Since the hotel is fitted with European outlets, I was able to rent an adapter for 20 euros that was refundable at checkout. Overall, the location was extremely close to good restaurants, the beach, and the train station. My stay was lovely!

Bonjour, j'ai passé un excellent séjour et je reviendrais avec plaisir. Accueil et personnels au top de la réception au petit déj en passant par le resto. Le personnel est très présents pour ses clients, les femmes de ménages également. Je tenais à les remercier car ayant des problèmes de santé le matin de mon départ je ne me suis pas réveillée pour libérer la chambre à 10h00 et ils se sont inquiétez de savoir si tout aller bien, et aucun reproches ne m'a été fait au moment de la restitution de la clés au contraire on était très avenant, ce qui m'a permis de ne pas rater mon train... Voilà c la 1ère fois que je laisse un avis aussi long mais il fallait que je dise ma satisfaction concernant l'hôtel et son personnel.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay again on my next trip to Menton. Beautiful property with a wonderful view of the sea and just steps from the old town. Walking distance to the train to explore the other areas of Côte D’Azur as well.

Buona posizione davanti alla spiaggia e in centro. Parcheggio non disponibile ma con parcheggi a pagamento molto vicini. Camera ampia, purtroppo senza balcone. Colazione buona durante la settimana, nel fine settimana mancavano molte cose. Cena discreta. Personale molto cortese.

Excellent location , very walkable to the old town and restaurants as well as to train station. Grocery store acoss the street, beach and beach stroll across the street and a lovely garden to relax outdoors in with a good book. Excellent breakfast.

Traditional French hotel on sea front in Menton and central to town but quiet location. Walkable from the station and close to the Old Town too. Comfortable rooms with sea view. Breakfast and evening meals were satisfactory.

Great location and the breakfast was really good

This was a wonderful property. Do yourself a favour and take the half-board option if available. Dinner was always a wonderful and perfectly prepared meal and so convenient after a day of beach and shopping and exploring. We had such a wonderful experience and already looking for our next trip here. We will miss the relaxed and safe vibe of Menton.

Un hôtel qui est magnifique de l’extérieur, vestige du faste de la Côte d’Azur début du XXe. Établissement propre et chambre standard. Je suis déçue par la différence entre l’extérieur fastueux et l’intérieur quelconque. Buffet petit déjeuner en mode “plateau”, on se croirait chez Flunch. Pas de nappe ni de couverts à table. Chacun se sert sur un plateau en plastique et la qualité du buffet n’est pas à la hauteur. C’est vraiment dommage. Je remercie l’ensemble du personnel qui est très professionnel et agréable.

Hotel in a lovely location with our balcony looking onto the sea. Breakfast was good with lots of different options and my wife who is gluten free was very happy. Would have liked to have eaten dinner in the hotel but no choice on the daily menu? Staff very warm and helpful.

Opholdet var generelt i orden. god beliggenhed, super værelse med flot udsigt, hvilket vi også havde betalt for. personalet var generelt venligt og talte også engelsk, hvis de blev presset lidt. hvis vi skulle påpege noget, så var det morgenmaden som var kedelig og uinspireret. der manglede egentlig ikke noget, men kedeligt og uinspireret. kaffen var tæt på udrikkelig, uanset om man brugte deres maskine eller deres filter kaffe. Dette kunne vi konstatere andre også syntes, idet flere gæster som os gik hen til den nærmeste cafe og købte noget ordentlig kaffe. udendørs borde burde også været tørret af lidt oftere.
