Very poor experience, starting from the receptionist who needs to go back to his basics trainings on how to talk to a guest in hospitality… no parking available… lifts out of order with a room on the 5th floor… poor condition of the common spaces with low maintenance very disappointed with Mercure quality standards which was supposed to be 4 stars hotel and clearly does not deserve this rating

Hôtel bien situé et correct mais sans les standards habituels pour un "mercure". Devant la porte du garage, j'ai dù attendre 10min (temps réel) pour qu'on m'ouvre car l'hôtesse d'accueil était au téléphone. Chambre froide malgré chauffage et ventilateur très bruyant. Empreinte bancaire qui n'a pas été transmis au restaurant (tout un pataquès...avec un manager juste aimable) Accès à la salle de sport non proposé a l'accueil. Arrivée devant, il faut une carte spécifique. Évidement les chbres, accueil, salle de sport sont des étages différents Enfin pas de personnel, il a fallu solliciter l accueil. Le serveur ne sert pas les commandes dans l ordre des clients..... Rien de grave, mais un service bien en dessous des mercures.

Stayed at the privilege room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bar is pretty basic but nice for a quick drink before going out. Breakfast restaurant is very bright, the food typically French, what you expect really in a good way. Overall our expectations were fulfilled so I would happily return.

Hotel overall, staff and breakfast were very good. Area felt a little unsafe at night. We booked a room with two beds and we got one bed plus a totally run down sofa bed instead (it didnt close all the way anymore). The chair had a large stain on its fabric seat. The large bed was very comfortable though and the bathroom was in excellent condition.

En revanche, petit-déjeuner commandé en chambre à 7h30, validé sur l’appli par l’hôtel. A presque 8h, rien. J’ai du descendre et partir pour mon train. L’accueil m’a dit on a bien eu votre demande mais on ne connaissait pas votre chambre (c’est exceptionnel). Et le monsieur m’a dit, mais on ne vous le facture pas !!!!! Dommage car je me suis levé plus tôt pour le petit-déjeuner et au final j’étais en retard à trop attendre. C’est assez amateur.

The privilege room was large and great for a toddler to run around in between going out to see Lyon. Despite being next to the train station, the room was extremely quiet. Bed was comfortable, and they provided a lot of amenities.

The hotel is old and we knew that going in, but it looks like a pack of wild puppies were let loose. Some paint would help the chewed up walls a lot. The employees were not very helpful. We asked quite a few times if someone could look at the tv since it would not work. Not until the last night did someone finally come up and say it doesn’t work. That was it. We were stuck in the room for a couples sick and it would have been nice to have. The same with room service and a couple of other issues. Just not very attentive.

The Mercure hotel was located at a very weird area. The hotel check in was terrible staff were very disappointing and didn’t help at all. The elevator was very small and did not fit more than 2 people. There was also only one elevator which for a hotel that big was ridiculous. The service and staff overall were terrible. This was a very disappointing experience.

This beautiful hotel was located next to a train station which made our traveling convenient and easy. We loved the use of the back entrance as we walked everywhere. Check in was easy and friendly. Our room was a good size for the 3 adults. We enjoyed the space and appreciated the mini fridge. My daughter is attending LCU and it was perfectly located to walk into Vieux Lyon and the Bellacour Square.
