Friendly, helpful hotel. Very convenient for beach and town centre. Easy to store our bikes. Good breakfast. If you stay for 2 or more nights, you can have a free drink instead of having your room cleaned. Lots of pleasant seating areas in the lobby. Our third stay here.

Good hotel with friendly staff, room was modern and clean. Great walking distance to the sea, the port and restaurants. A bit of advice on parking (which I had ticked) for others: this does not mean the hotel has a car park. There is free parking on the sea front in front of the hotel but there is a lot of competition for the spaces and we had to cruise round and round (on a weekday in April). Had to give up and go to the underground paying carpark at end of prom by casino. This is very nice secure car park but you will have to pay.

Simple, friendly hotel with very nice communal areas (gym is v basic but I don't think you'd select this hotel for the gym). Our room didn't have Aircon, but it wasn't too warm at night and the windows opened onto a quiet inner courtyard, so wasn't an issue.

Ich weiß wirklich nicht, wie so viele dieses Hotel super toll, sauber und ruhig finden können!! Die Bilder der Zimmer entsprechen so überhaupt nicht der Realität! Die Lobby ist wirklich wie auf den Bilder, neu, stylisch, sauber und modern. Aber mein Zimmer war katastrophal!!! Es war total abgewohnt, ungepflegt, unsauber… in der Beschreibung steht was von „Komfort-Betten“ darüber kann ich nur lachen!! Unter meinem Bett waren Rollen, die bei jeder Umdrehung gequietscht haben. Die „Schallschutztüren“ sind auch lachhaft, wenn ich den gesamten Toilettengang vom Nachbarzimmer mithören kann!! Das Personal ist wirklich sehr nett und die Lage des Hotels 1a!!

The main hotel areas have been nicely renovated. The décor in our family room was quite dated aside from the bathroom which had a lovely modern mirror and double sink. I don't think the room had been used in a while and there were a couple of flies buzzing around but the beds were comfortable, the shower was good and it was quiet.

The hotel is lovely and the staff on reception are very competent and friendly. Check in was great and the room was nice. We had an issue with dogs barking in the next room (which they hadn’t booked to have the dogs with them so weren’t in a pet friendly room) and staff couldn’t do anything about it. The transfer of noise from the room upstairs was awful. They sounded like they were moving house and it carried on for 3 hours. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the breakfast was €14 per person which is a lot for coffee and a croissant. Nice hotel but awful sleep/rest.

Great staff ! Smiley Cheerful and helpful,Clean room,Excellent Breakfast and they let me put my mobility scooter in the entrance lobby which was greatly appreciated,we have stayed there many times in the last 20 years ,It's a great location on the seafront and close to the town ,We highly recommend it . Christina and Sondrine on reception 10/10 .and the ladies Sidique /Sondrine at breakfast ! An excellent stay and we do not hesitate to recommend it to all ! Merci to all at Hôtel de la Plage XXX <3

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel de la Plage. Our family room was spacious enough, of a little dated. The reception area is pleasant and the jars of sweets for children went down well with our kids. I’ve not given five stars purely because of a rule that stipulated that room keys need to be left at reception when you leave the hotel. Generally the reception was staffed by one member of staff. If they were on the phone or away from the desk we’d be left stranded in reception waiting to hand in our key or retrieve it. Perhaps this isn’t a big deal for some, but with two small children waiting five minutes at the end of a day when everyone is hot, tired and hungry wasn’t pleasant!

Hotel was excellent value for the price. Staff spoke english, which really helped as my french is very rusty. Beds were comfy, shower was powerful. Location was excellent, right on the beach front, with plenty of parking out front. Only 10 mins drive away from the ferry port. Only a short 5 min walk to the main town for restaurants, but breakfast was offered. Unfortunately we could not sample breakfast as we had to leave very early for our ferry home. Reception staff were available 24/7. Cannot thank the hotel enough. Definitely want to come back in the summer to enjoy the area more.

Beautiful location near the sea. But mind you, the coffee machine isnt free as I was told AFTER I had an espresso. I travel all over Europe & the UK and never have I had to pay for a coffee from a machine. At least tell me before I drink it, not after. I paid to stay in this hotel, bought drinks from the bar and you treat me like a freeloader?

Staff were very helpful and stored our luggage for a couple of hours after check-out on the morning when we were due to catch the 4pm ferry. Pre - ordered a taxi for us which arrived punctually. Excellent location for shops, market, restaurants and bars. Will definitely book again.

Un 3 étoiles vieillissant mais correct. Des rénovations ont été faites récemment, WC suspendu, douche italienne, meuble vasque confortable, qui rends la pièce d'eau un peu exiguë. Apparemment le mitigeur n'a pas eu droit à un remplacement, tout le chrome est corrodé, ce qui fait un peu tâche et pas quali du tout. La chambre est un peu petite mais fait l'affaire. Matelas très confortables, il y en a 2 cote à cote pour ne pas déranger son conjoint. L'ascenseur est appréciable, le personnel est agréable. En revanche, le buffet du petit déjeuner laisse à désirer pour 14€, il manque cruellement de choix. Bonne expérience d'une nuit dans l'ensemble.

We like this hotel, it’s clean and friendly. The only drawback is when other guests are noisy as the rooms are not soundproofed. But there’s a good breakfast salon and a bar open all evening. Even though dogs are welcome the rooms are spotless, so not a problem.
