It is the perfect hotel for an overnight before a cruise. Conad supermarket and a Chinese everything store less than a 5 minute walk. The air-conditioning was excellent and the breakfast was very good. Its a 5 minute ride from the train station or a 15 minute walk. Best of all the staff was very friendly and they have a shuttle to the cruise port door to door for only 5 euro per person. We would stay again. The only negative is the shower needs maintenance and the water pressure and temperature is not consistent.

We used this hotel as overnight pre cruise stay. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful pointed out how to reach the sea front and town approx 20 mins walking from the hotel. The sister hotel were could book for an evening the meal was booked up, reception recommended a restaurant 10 minutes away Migual del Gusto which was good. The hotel itself is in need of a update the decco is looking tired, the beds are abit uncomfortable did not sleep very well, however the rooms are large. The hotel would benefit by having a bar available on a evening, breakfast was ok. We booked the airport transport through the hotel, this worked ok the only thing i recomend is in the instruction for airport you need to be out of tge east exit for limo pick up service. If you are looking for reasonable priced hotel somewhere to stay certainty for pre night cruise stay this hotel is ok

Good location for access to the port. The hotel offers transfers from FCO airport to their hotel and to the port for boarding a cruise. Accommodations were clean, staff friendly and helpful, and th location is excellent for cruises. No problems encountered.

The room appeared as tho it had not been fully cleaned. The sheets on the bed had cigarette burns on them. The plates and dishes in the kitchen area were not clean. On the fold out couch bed The straps holding the mattress were broke so the mattress sink when you sat or lay down on it. The overall room was just not clean and not inviting. The online pictures must be older because the room is not as shown. Then to add to the disappointment, when checking out I was informed that even though I booked through hotels.com and it said price guarantee final price. There were taxes and fees added on which added an additional €50 to the bill I would just say beware and make sure you have all the details before reserving. It was not up to may standards or expectations but we are all different

Our Stay at Hotel Traiano was excellent. The service was outstanding, the hotel rooms were great for a family of four (all adults) and they had a number of extras that made our holiday stress free. We actually stayed at Hotel Traiano twice during our holiday. First, they picked us up at the airport (FCO). Our driver was waiting for us as we exited the terminal and we were at the hotel in less than an hour. Our room was ready (10am) which was a blessing as we had a long travel day. Breakfast was provided and excellent. They dropped us off at the Cruise terminal and picked us up 7 days later. A couple of days later they dropped us off at the cruise terminal again. The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes away from the beach/waterfront where stores, restaurants and the train station is located. There is a grocery store and bar close by which was super helpful. Italian hotels aren't usually spacious but the two rooms we had were massive. The hotel is a little dated but that is to be expected in Italy. We will return once again to Civitavecchia and more importantly Hotel Traiano.

For us it was an excellent place to stay the night before our cruise. Very reasonable price, clean and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff - and breakfast was included! Just don't go in expecting The Ritz and you'll be fine.

The room good but my problem was with the shuttle service that I paid to get me to the cruise ship port. Upon arriving I told the clerk I am on the celebrity ascent ship and will need to leave at 10 30 am next day. 10 30 next day they told me my shuttle has arrived got on and they took me to the wrong port I ask the driver is this the celebrity ship port and he said yes. Now I had to find to take a bus back to the bus station and a new bus to take me to the right port with lugging all my luggage. Very disappointed with my shuttle service from this hotel.

We stayed here pre-cruise. Hotel is in great proximity to the cruise port. It had a very quaint atmosphere, was very clean and staff extremely friendly. We also booked their transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the port. The driver Miguel was there to get us when we landed and handled our luggage for us out of the airport and into the hotel. He also drove us to the port and again took our luggage for us which we really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again!

The Hotel is very good. It is spartan but Johnny at Reception will provide everything possible and does an excellent job. The young lady looking after the Breakfast is a hard worker and very efficient. The hotel also arranged for transportation from the airport and then for the cruise. Both were good and on time. We were also put in contact with Federico who took us on a three hour tour of the countryside and is available to take you wherever you wish to sightsee. He also does a dinner event which we did not have an opportunity to try. You can get information at Reception re contacting him. We recommend the Hotel Traiano and Federico.

Thanks to Federico (Shuttle and Chef) and Alessio (front desk) for a GREAT stay. Federico met us just outside of arrivals area for the trip out to the hotel. Room was ready on morning arrival (amazing!) with Alessio providing suggestions on where to go and what to do. Room was spacious, beds comfortable and with some rooms having balconies. They were working on updating (painting, repairs) on several of the floors. Breakfast was provided in the morning with availability between 7 and 10. Would absolutely stay here again pre cruise!

The owner/manager was amazing. He went beyond any manager has ever gone in helping us out, first when a phone was left in the taxi and then again when we needed baggage tags for out suitcases. He was patient and kind.

Hotel was suppose to get us a taxi the night before -didn't. Front desk morning clerk did not get us a taxi either !!!! very unpleasant!!! - resulting in us not getting our prior booked tour of over $700.00 not refundable !!! Central to everything! Clean rooms and great service with included breakfast! Our pickup at the Rome airport went very smoothly arranged by our hotel, wonderful service at reasonable rates! Although a bit removed from the tourist area, it is a diamond in the rough. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it is not the most modern, but it has a charm and warmth not found on the shore area. Johnny seems to work 24/7 on the desk, as a warm greeter and knowledgeable concierge. The licensed shuttle to the port was comfortable and half the price of the other hotels. I will be back.

We used this hotel as overnight pre cruise stay. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful pointed out how to reach the sea front and town approx 20 mins walking from the hotel. The sister hotel were could book for an evening the meal was booked up, reception recommended a restaurant 10 minutes away Migual del Gusto which was good. The hotel itself is in need of a update the decco is looking tired, the beds are abit uncomfortable did not sleep very well, however the rooms are large. The hotel would benefit by having a bar available on a evening, breakfast was ok. We booked the airport transport through the hotel, this worked ok the only thing i recomend is in the instruction for airport you need to be out of tge east exit for limo pick up service. If you are looking for reasonable priced hotel somewhere to stay certainty for pre night cruise stay this hotel is ok

We booked a suite room but was giving a regular room. but the manager at the lobby apologized for the mistake and compensate us with free shuttle to the cruise port. Breakfast was good with lots of beverage options(tea, coffee, juice) and adequate amount of breakfast items.

Wonderful hotel in a nice location. You can walk to the waterfront and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. More was spacious and clean. There is a wonderful terrace. They also helped with transfers. Breakfast was very good. Front desk was very helpful.
