Hotel San Giorgio

Clean room, dated and a bit stake, but clean. Nice clean bathroom. Friendly check in. Fine stay for a night after the late ferry.

Everything was as we expected

Room was ready early. Had an issue with toilet not filling with water. Staff corrected quickly. Cleaning people excellent. We were traveling with a service dog and the hotel insisted on charging a service fee. Which would be illegal in the USA, even after we provided the needed documentation. All other hotels or BNBs in Italy waived the fee upon showing the legal documents. We have been traveling in Italy for three months.

Very close to port, walk about 17 min, nice hotel, great buffet breakfast and coffee bar for 10 euro each, nice view of Mediterranean and walkable to many restaurants on same street either direction.

No hot water. We booked 3 rooms for 6 people and in each room it was the same. All of us had tepid showers. :( There was no communication between the evening staff and the morning staff. We signed up and paid for 5 breakfasts and they tried to charge us again in the morning for 6 breakfasts :( On the positive side, it was super close to the cruise port and the shuttle to the port in the morning ran smoothly. There was a good choice of restaurants near the hotel.
