Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre

This was a classy, very well run hotel smack in the centre of a lovely city close to everything. The breakfast was over the top! We appreciated our quiet room and the charming staff. I enjoyed the indoor pool area, which was a real treat. Sauna and steam room there too. The hotel had supplied us ahead of time with directions to nearby car parks, so we coped with that alright too.

Attention : la blanchisserie ne fonctionne pas le dimanche et je l'ignorais... :( Par contre, j'ai apprécié la formule buffet à volonté pour le dîner ! C'est un bon hôtel toutefois, même si le tarif est un peu trop élevé pour ce qu'il offre.

Right at the start of the centre city. Very walkable. Pool steam and sauna available. And the connected pub and restaurant are great to enjoy food and drinks

Good central location with well appointed rooms. Did not use exercise facilities or spa but they were nice looking and in use by others. Parking is in the public lot across tge street from the hotel entrance. Make sure to pay and display receipt in window to avoid getting ticketed.

Great location. Very welcoming and helpfull. Very good breakfast, but only very weak coffee though. The pool was very much appeciated.

The hotel is in a very prime location. My room was fine although my travelling companions had much smaller rooms. Perhaps the best part of the hotel were the pubs adjacent and in the basement of the hotel. The downside of that was the music went on until 1 am in the morning on the weekends and I could clearly hear the bass thumping the walls. Breakfast was pretty good. The gym was rather small with very little space to stretch. The staff was nice. I went through about six room keys until the staff decided to send a maintenance person to look at the lock and he simply changed the batteries. Finally, the shower could have been hotter.

Loved this hotel! It is in the heart of the city - near everything! Hotel is very nice, friendly staff and a GREAT breakfast. They also have a fabulous pool and spa area. Literally walking distance to everything. Will stay here again if in the area.

The pool, hot and dry saunas, and whirlpool are wonderful. Very considerate staff made my stay a pleasure.

We loved Mohan in the dining room!!! Unbelievable service and cleanliness…fun pool and sauna!!! Great staff!!

Milad from Portugal at the front desk had a wonderful manner . The pool is captivating along with the Jacuzzi .

We stayed 4 nights here as we were going to a local wedding. Our room 243 was clean and spacious with a jacuzzi bath and very hot water. The only downside was the walk from the lift along many many corridors to the next to last room in the hotel. If we were not fit the walk could have been too much. Only a small gripe.

The hotel rooms were very clean and our room (244) was very quiet. Toiletries were suppled and room was cleaned every day. We had bar food on two evenings and it was nice but not exceptional and service was slow especially with clearing up after dinner. There was entertainment on each evening of our stay.

Good experience.. good breakfast, although the eggs reminded me of powdered I had in the navy. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Good bathroom… it was just me on the room, and I thought it was comfortable.. I would stay again.

This hotel is in a great location! Lots of bars and restaurants and shopping very close. Staff was mixed - some very friendly, some not so friendly. I didn’t use any amenities (restaurant, bar, pool, etc). There is 1 ice machine and it was out of order, but the bar gave us ice. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. The lobby is modern, but the floors and rooms reminded us of the Shining. Clean, but outdated and a bit spooky. There is no parking. There is a public lot across the street, but weekends can be busy. Lots of taxis in the area.

The property was not clean.

Unfortunately our room was dirty above a bar. And while I love a night out with live music, I prefer to enjoy it on my schedule. This was an early night for us, after a very long day, and as soon as we hit the sheets, the music started. It was as if they were in the room with us, we could hear every cord, every word. The hotel itself was fine, although many stairs up and down to get to our room which sucked with our luggage, and the room was quite dated, with a few spiders and webs thrown in. Not worth the cost. Would not recommend. That being said, the staff were all very lovely.

Nice hotel central to nightlife. Hotel itself is great but kept being woken up by what i thing was ventilation ducts outside the hotel kicking in. Was like having a bus running outside the window. Would i stay here again.? Probably but would stay away from a room overlooking the back of the hotel.

Great location. Goof service, staff , comfortable bed and good breakfast. Only 1 issue , our room was directly above where the staff gather for their breaks, at 1p.30, 11.30 at night and 12.30 am! I was woken up 4 times, with loud xhatter and laughter, and managed to get only 5 hours sleep for our early start. I did get out of bed and speak to reception and it stopped. Hopefully, other guest will not experience this.

We asked to change rooms after being awakened by loud, drunk people leaving the bars at 2:30 am. We then found that some of the hotel is air conditioned. Nice to have when the weather gets unusually warm. Showers leak, breakfast is ok (but free). But staff was nice.

Good location in the town centre with convenient parking across the road. Comfortable rooms. The rooms have a jacuzzi and while in theory that's great, it's noisy if a neighbouring room is using this at 11pm (our experience). Some rules to limit use during certain times would be great otherwise it sounds like there's an industrial fridge near by.

The hotel was good for being central. The room was 204. A few pigeons each morning were very annoying outside the window. Then with a light breeze the window in the room sounds like there is a hurricane outside with very noisy whistleing from the window. Easily solved with a small bit of mai tenance. The same with the wet guard screen on the bath that doesnt stop the water pooling outside the bath on the floor. We mentioned the issues to staff who werent too suprised and didnt show much interest in it being an issue for their guests. Room was dab other than that despite being too close to the stairs hearing everyone on the floor heading to and from the stairs or lift area even after requesting a room away from the lift.

The room decor was worn and dated. The bed was VERY comfortable. Loved the location. The parking should be free or at least have designated spaces for hotel guests only. One night we had to double park in a driveway because there were no spaces available after circling for about 20 minutes.

So, these are just more things to note about the area and property -- but first know that Killarney has a moto car event in town at the end of November. Avoid this town at all costs that weekend, as cars are revving in the streets at all hours of the day and night all weekend. I have no idea why the town does not regulate this, but it makes the town unbearable. Also note that there is also a biker festival in the summer (do your research before you go). OTHERWISE: You're on one of the main pub streets in Killarney, and right above 2 active pubs on the weekend -- which for some people might be a plus, others maybe not so much. Other days of the week, the pubs aren't very busy so it's much better. Hotel itself is fine, very clean and convenient, although rooms are rather close to each other so you will hear things from rooms next door -- not unique to this hotel especially in Ireland, but again just something to note. The staff is great and very accommodating, and facilitated my request for a room change after being put on the ground floor facing the main intersection in town during the moto car Saturday night. They should know better than to even book those rooms IMO, much less charge someone $200 a night to stay in a room like that -- but i'll leave that there. As I said, the next day they moved me to a quiet room facing the interior for the rest of my stay.

Room was clean and adequate. Would like a little more room and shower was not for tall people. O’Donoghues Pub next store was fantastic - good food and great music

The staff was incredibly helpful, fun, and kind. The nightlife attached to the hotel was also a must do In Killarney.

Check in was wonderful. Marina greeted us with a smile and was very courteous. We had an issue with the room but when we called Marina, she sent the manager up right away. Darragh came and was not able to resolve the issue but he took care of us. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Killarney. The location is wonderful and the staff is amazing.

I was so happy when I was able to check in early. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It was nice having a breakfast buffet and the options were sufficient. I will definitely stay here again if I'm fortunate enough to make it back to Killarney. The only negative comment would be that the room had a LOT of furniture which limited space for our luggage, but we were traveling for a month so may have had more than the typical guest.

The staff are incredibly friendly. We wanted to stay an extra night and they checked regularly for cancelations and accommodated us. Went over and above to make our stay memorable.

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is perfectly located in Killarney. The breakfast had everything you could ask for, the staff were extremely friendly. The hotel has a new and older side to it. Whereas we had our rooms on the older side of the hotel, they were still very nice. The few days were extremely hot and we had Air Conditioning in the room, which was perfect

Fantastic location — within easy walking distance to several attractions, great shopping, Killarney Castle, and plenty of restaurants. The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and everything we needed was close by. Perfect spot for exploring Killarney!

This hotel was fabulous! 5 minute short walk from the train station, great staff, lovely huge set up for breakfast. The pool was beautiful and nice for a dip. This hotel is center to so much in the city center, great stores and restaurants.

The hotel and adjoining pub & restaurant were wonderful. We enjoyed walking the Killarney area. The live music is fantastic. The public parking across from the hotel was very crowded but we found a spot. I was under the impression that the hotel refunded up to 3 hours of parking but that was not the case.

Best location in town, parking over the road, the attached bar is fab, and the breakfast was the best of the week.

Very nice hotel. We would have liked an option for coffee and a pastry in the hotel instead of full breakfast only. The full breakfast was really lovely, just a bit more than we wanted every day. Local coffee shops may not all open before 8, so day trippers, who must get up and out, will be wondering where to go.
