Charming, elegant older hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed dinner at the bar and the breakfast. Wonderful pool and gym facilities.

Super great swimming pool with lane ropes to allow for actual lane swimming. I went twice in our less-than-a-day visit! Pleasant staff in the hotel, pub, and spa - and good food. Easy parking right at the front desk door.

Fantastic stay in a comfortable spacious family room. Quick check in by friendly receptionist. Pool was clean, warm and enjoyable. Bar food was delicious and to a high standard. Excellent entertainment at the bar at night time. Quality breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The lobby and restaurant are beautiful - makes for a nice formal yet quaint experience. It was busy when we were there, so expect some wait at the food areas. They could have used a few extra people on staff. Note that the pool area is part of a community access/gym situation that is built onto the hotel site. This was fine for us, but could be odd to others. Not exactly the private experience we anticipated.

Even though we thought the Hotel was in Galway City, we really enjoyed our stay. We took advantage of the Pool, Steamroom and Hot Tub. The staff were top notch and very friendly.

Swimming pool was a good size and water temperature very good. Sauna also good.

Cleanliness was excellent. Staff were excellent. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Would definitely go back again.

Convenient and quiet for our 1 night stay. Room was comfortable, clean and a good size. Check in was quick. Breakfast was cooked to order so was hot and fresh.

Bathroom wasn't clean, found hairs in tub. Room very noisy, walls thin and outdated. Town is small and not very tidy. Pub food was great, loved the brown bread with soup. Salad was amazing too.

A touch of elegance at an affordable price. Beautiful hotel with gorgeous wood trims throughout. Friendly and helpful staff. Most important is the cleanliness of the rooms, bedding and hotel facilities. Beds and linens were comfortable, and blackout curtains made for a restful night. Great water pressure with plenty of hot water and good drainage in the shower. Plenty of free parking They serve a wonderful breakfast, well worth adding it to the price of the room. This was our 2nd time staying here and it was not disappointing either time.

The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and were great with the kids. Hotel itself was beautiful, the room was great as we had 3 children with us each having their own bed. Rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked.

The hotel looks very nice from the outside and common areas are pretty. The staff was all very nice so they have that going for them. Our room was not clean at all. There was old carpet probably from the 70’s if I had to guess. It was terribly stained. there was a musty smell to the room. The mattresses are extremely old lumpy and uncomfortable! There is no fridge to keep drinks cold. No ice available. No coffee maker just a hot pot to make instant coffee. The cups were dirty and used. There was sticky stuff spilled on all night stands. I had to clean the night stands and bathroom myself before we could use anything. There was urine on the toilet as well as pubic hair. The rooms get extremely hot and uncomfortable. The windows barely open and don’t allow any airflow. At one point it reached 34 degrees Celsius. That’s oppressive. We had high hopes for the pool area which was a let down as well. There is nowhere to sit in the pool area so it’s either stay in the pool or stand in the hot pool area to watch your child swim. Awful! I had to check out after day 2 and find other accommodations for the remainder of our trip. What a nightmare. I’ve never been so uncomfortable in a hotel and I travel a lot!

booked two family rooms for two nights during this midterm break specially for kids to use the swimming pool, I know their aren’t much to do around but wanted to relax with in hotel but swimming pools closed for both Wednesday 2.30pm and Thursday until 12.45pm, also find out one of our rooms was very cold and damp smells at night, looked around and found the mould walls covered by the bed. Looks it has not been cleaned or used for long time (picture attached), reported at reception next morning got room change but receptionist seems very normal about this…

Convenient and quiet for our 1 night stay. Room was comfortable, clean and a good size. Check in was quick. Breakfast was cooked to order so was hot and fresh.

Older styled accomodation. Room was unfortunately hot and did not have a fan or air conditioning. Clean room with access to pool/gym.

Uriges Hotel mit Landhauscharme, das hier dort sicherlich ein Upgrade/Renovierung vertragen könnte. Unser Familienzimmer war groß genug für uns drei, lag leider mit dem Fenster zum Liefereingang der Küche, dadurch morgens mal eine halbe Stunde etwas lauter. Die Lage in Gort ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung (Moher, Galway, Connemara etc.) Pool und Gym sind für Gäste kostenlos mit nutzbar. Frühstück war landestypisch, nicht außergewöhnlich, aber völlig ok. Zum Hotel gehört auch eine Bar/Restaurant. Essen/Trinken hier lecker, nichts aufregendes, aber auch völlig in Ordnung und preislich nicht zu teuer. Würde ich wieder buchen.

Noisy doors kept us up all night, and the food at the restaurant was subpar. That said, the staff was lovely and convenient parking.

The hotel was better than I had expected. We stayed for just one night as we were transiting thru the area. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and nice. While the room decor can look a bit old, it is well maintained and shows character. The only thing was that it was a very hot day and there is no AC. However opening the window cooled the room and it was OK. Thanks for providing a good experience.

Massage not available and first night was disappointing with tepid bath water and no heating BUT excellent staff transferred me to lovely suite that made my visit delightful. Had great carvery lunch with friends. So overall a good stay

Shower did not work, had to have cold shower. Manager of hotel was awful, she seemed very aggressive and angry on three separate times that I had seen her.

After a day of travel it was easy to park, quick check in, and we had a delicious dinner on site. Perfect. Everyone was friendly and kind.

Hotel clean and staff lovely but whole facility looking a bit tired in areas - eg fixtures in our bedroom were very bashed and a couple of the plug sockets didn’t work. It was clearly amazing in its day - lovely staircases and stained glass. Bar and food were superb but dining was a bit chaotic. There was a queue for tables but locals were just coming in and sitting down. Breakfast was equally chaotic - but great food. Overall we’d stay again. Handy for Galway and clean, comfortable stay.

Our bedroom was a good size , bathroom clean but minimal products and towels poor quality. Breakfast service was good . Evening meal service very slow and unorganised with lots of crockery & glasses cluttering the bar area. The Food was good when it arrived. Check in was not a friendly experience, we did arrive early and we were happy to wait but to see lots of other guests getting their room key before us was annoying!

Hotel rather tired. Facilities need a make over. I paid for two nights with breakfast INCLUDED. I was challenged on both days that I hadn't paid for breakfast (embarrassing!). When I came to leave I was asked to pay for the whole stay again. When I asked for my booking to be checked reception blamed the booking company for getting my payments wrong. Not true Reception had not checked my details.

The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and were great with the kids. Hotel itself was beautiful, the room was great as we had 3 children with us each having their own bed. Rooms were spacious, clean and well stocked.

This is the best place I've ever stayed. I cannot fault them in any way whatsoever. The friendliness of staff, cleanliness, comfort, food, breakfast and the bar are all excellent. The only thing is the portions for evening meals. One meal would do 2 people. This was my second stay there this year and I will certainly be back again God willing. Nothing is too much in this hotel. Staff very attentive and accommodating. Best place ever to stay in.

The staff were extremely personable and helpful - especially the night porter. They couldn’t do enough for us.

The hotel is visually appealing. It is in a quiet area and the on site health spa was an added bonus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would have liked too stay longer.

I was led to believe this hotel was in Galway city, but it’s 30 miles away. It’s in a pleasant town and the facility was ok BUT it was NOT IN GALWAY. I had an expensive taxi ride to the hotel, though the driver was wonderful.

An older hotel but very cute and convenient to the other areas that we wanted to visit.

Very comfortable room, good cooked breakfast, and great to gave use of leisure club facilities. A convenient base for exploring by car: out to the Burren, into Galway City and further West into Connemara.

There is a large public playground across the street from the hotel. Live music in the attached pub, but it also wasn’t so loud that it would be audible in the room. Leisure centre had a pool and a gym. The gym is small but well appointed. We had the breakfast included and it had a good selection of Irish breakfast options and cold options like cereals and pastries. It is entirely walkable from the bus station and to all of the options around Gort. It would make a good base from which to visit Galway City and the Burren without dealing with Galway traffic. Good for families. Our room had one queen bed and two twin beds.

Quiet neighborhood with beautiful property

The hotel is close to the motorway and lots of access to Galway and Limerick. We took a concert bus to Limerick and the walk to the bus stop was not even 10 min. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great. The pool and spa were a nice bonus too.

Great central place to so many wonderful places of interest in Galway/Clare

Lovely cosy and welcoming hotel very near the Burren and all areas of the Wild Atlantic Way.

This charming hotel offered a very good rate for travelling to Galway. During our stay we weren't able to use the pool but could see that it was well used. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast offered was very good. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food here was good as well. Check in was smooth and the facilities were very clean. The only issue we experienced was that some of the interior was looking worn and need of a refresh.

Fruit selection was poor. Oranges skin on in segments - tinned grapefruit- prunes - chopped watermelon There was yogurt tho

Room upgrade appreciated - nice room with modern relaxing colours Towels very thin and worn - only toiletries was a combined hair / body wash No tissues. Bar food ok. Breakfast poor - small buffet table with very limited options- cooked breakfast was ok but again limited if you were staying more than a couple of nights. Overall feeling of being a bit run down. Pool looked good but was busy with what looked like local kids lessons. Don’t think we would return

Not having air conditioning was fine everywhere else in Ireland because we opened the windows. Despite having the windows open it was too warm in the room to sleep. Loud traffic outside the room as well as an entry ramp made the room very loud. The food in the restaurant was very good but the wait staff were very busy chatting with each other so it is hard to get waited on. All the staff were very nice. There is a large swimming pool, hot tub and gym. A hip abductor/ adductor would be a good addition to the gym.

We booked this lodging short notice and was very happy with the quality. The breakfast was good with many options. Our room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The restaurant attached is very good!
