Travelodge Dublin Airport North 'Swords'

There is no airport shuttle to this property.

There is no elevator and only one entrance. Upon checking the staff helped us with our luggage upstairs. However, our room had a smell like old dog or something. We had to keep the windows open all the time. I feel it was overpriced for what you get, but I’m told it’s like that near Dublin.

nice travelodge. Staff are kind and helpful, amenities within walking distance and a large car park to go further afield. 20-30 mins into Dublin City Centre

We loved the BBQ place that was attached

only issue is that its classified as airport hotel, theres no shuttle and it way to far to walk to the airport. 20 euro taxi.

Badly overpriced for VERY basic accommodations. Also no airport shuttle offered from an airport adjacent property.

Close to Dublin Airport, with free parking for guests. Pet friendly which was a plus for us.

I liked receptionist, she was accommodating us on the 1st floor and on opposite side of the road, so our night was quiet. They had restaurant, so was very convenient

Great spot for if you need to be close to the airport. 24-hour reception desk is also highly convenient.

Property is outdated, didn’t seem the most clean. A towel we had in our room was stained. Shower looked so bad, wore sandals just in case. There was a dog barking near our room.

Hotel is dated, carpets are old, and the hallways stink like bad foods. Almost made me throw up. Our room also had long black hairs left on the floor from the previous guest.

Hotel and room smelled smoky and very bad. Room was not very clean, property was very run down. For the price paid, it’s definitely not worth it.

My hotel room had mould in the bathroom and an odd smell throughout the hotel.

Property convenient to the airport, but that was the only plus. Rugs were dirty and chairs in room were ripped. The lock chain on door was broken. The shower could have used a good cleaning.

Average room but the bathroom was old with rust and a general sense of being dirty. We were only there for a short time.

The staff were very courteous and friendly. The room was great! Very clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay if you have an early flight! Clean, convenient, friendly, helpful staff. The only thing was the room was hot and stuffy.

Basic accommodation. Was clean but a bit tired. Tiny TV. Bed was comfortable..

After a hot day, the windows could not be opened enough to air the heat out to have a comfortable sleeping temperature without keeping the windows open during night - next to a busy road (so choice between too hot or too noisy on warm summer days). The hotel and rooms look a bit run down and dated, but that is mostly cosmetic. Beds were reasonably comfortable, everything looked clean enough and staff was friendly and helpful during my visit. Would not mind staying here again, but not during summer months.

Chosen due to proximity to airport. However, reception couldn’t seem to find our reservation. It took a while. Rooms were very hot, no AC , could barely open windows.

The property is easy enough to get to and very close to the airport, but the walls were paper thin. I could hear every person in the hall, every door close, and even noises outside. It made it impossible to sleep before my long day of traveling.

The room was beautifully clean, the staff were fantastic and helpful. We were over for a family funeral, and the hotel organised taxis for us, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were cold on arrival, but staff showed us how to turn the heating up, so our rooms were lovely and warm for the rest of our stay.

The staff at Travelodge are friendly & very accommodating. They allowed us an early check in although regular check in time was 3 pm, our flight got into Dublin in the morning and they gave us our room at 11 am. Also, they were aware we were bringing my dad's ashes home to Ireland and that it was my 10 yr old son's first time here and they had a treat waiting for him at the reception desk when we checked in. The room was clean & spacious. The shower had good water pressure and with it's choice of "rain" or " jet" setting...it was quite welcomed after our 6 and a half hour overnight flight. The property was clean and quiet and we went out for a very enjoyable walk in the area after eating at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The food there was reasonably priced and the staff were welcoming and friendly, not to mention the food was great! We're looking forward to breakfast in the morning. 😊 And the restaurant offers an outdoor patio, as well as indoor seating. The property also has vending machines available and tea and coffee are available in -room for you to make at your leisure, along with tv and free wifi. The property doesn't have air conditioning, but will provide fans if requested, which we did and the temperature of the room was great. Beds & chairs in the room were very comfortable & the wifi reception was great. This hotel may not have many amenities in comparison with others, but they more than make up for it with their customer service and all they do offer. 😊

Wonderful two Polish ladies went out of their way to find me a handicap room hours before check in time! They were so pleasant to communicate with, I felt as though they were welcoming me Home! I’d highly recommend the staff @ Travelodge, only wish I had bought the nice ladies a Christmas gift.

There’s a moldy smell in the hallway. There isn’t an elevator to the 2nd floor. The receptionist made a sarcastic comment when I asked about one. What she didn’t know was my brother had an old accident where he broke his neck & lives in pain. Shame on her. There isn’t a non-skid mat in the shower. There wasn’t any soap for the shower. The towels are very thin. There wasn’t a hairdryer. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Staff were incredibly unfriendly. They switched our rooms last minute resulting in wrong bed size which caused one of us to sleep on the floor. They questioned me why I needed more blankets (because I needed them for the floor). The room was disgusting. Carpets were stained. Bathroom tub was gross. Mold in the coffee pot. Only supplied 2 towels and had to request more towels twice. Zero accommodations. Manager refuses to contact us to discuss these issues.

Room was meant to be refreshed daily but I had to go to reception and ask for clean towels etc. as it had not been done. Person on reception was helpful and friendly and apologised and got the issue sorted very quickly

Honestly, the staff here are so patient and kind. Whenever we're in Dublin we stay here. Thanks guys!

We were at the Travelodge to be near the airport in Dublin. The people were very helpful in fact the man at the desk helped us do the check in for our flight. We really appreciated the extra help. The food was very good in the restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone. Donna Norton

Easy to get to from Airport and close to transport to city centre or to Drogheda, am a regular visitor to this hotel and always find it excellent both property and staff, this visit was very disappointing, Requested fresh towels but they were never replaced I had to go to reception to get them, at 1.20am I called reception to ask then to come and deal with a guest that was being very loud, someone did come to corridor and listened but did nothing, at 2am the noise continued, very disappointed.

Hotel room was clean. Lots of noise from other rooms and from the road. Very difficult to ventilate room. Difficult to access hotel by foot. Considerably overpriced.

Perfect as it is very close to the airport.

It was fine. Very basic motel rooms in decent condition. Sort of close to airport but no airport shuttle. Close enough to express bus into Dublin city center

Bedrooms spacious with one large and one smaller bed. Good lighting and a window that opens for fresh air. But no breakfast included, the shuttle service to the airport had been stopped, and a couple of dangerous roads to cross to get to Swords village.

Nice hotel. Near to airport and Dublin. Close to Malahide which is where we were going. Nice little cafe / bar next door. Would stay here again.

The Roundabout between the hotel and the town of Swords doesn't have very complete passenger pathways so you end up both in the mud and in the way of impatient cars. As far as the facilities, they were quite basic but just what we needed for a quick stay before catching a morning flight. The lady at the counter was kind enough to change a bill for coins to pay for the bus.

the hotel is 15 min far from the city centre, but that didn't stop us from getting around. there is a restaurant just across the hotel and it is great. we arrived early and they were flexible to get us the room hours before our check-in. there are plenty of shops within 10 10-minute walk, we enjoyed exploring the area and taking the buses to get into the city centre without any problem.

This accommodation was clean and functional, well located for access to buses and major roads. The restaurant on site also offered a pleasant menu.

Great hotel, great location except for no breakfast opportunities in the area. Being an airport hotel, I understand their type of clientel, but even a light breakfast would be great.

A few minutes drive from the airport, €10 , next door for fantastic food evening & breakfast win win .

Restaurant was not great but the town of Swords has many nice places to eat only 10 minutes walk away. Nice ruined castle in town too.

This time of year the prices in Dublin are much higher thanthe winter time. That normal everywhere. This place was close to the airport, all I wanted was a quiet place to rest between flights. Long layover. The bed was clean mattress was soft and the pillows were perfect. All I needed to get some rest. If You want entertainment, a 15 minute walk to Swords town is there, Plenty of bars and places to eat. There ia a resuraunt at the hotel, it was average but acceptable.
