Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, staff were excellent , very helpful and accommodating, made use of the leisure centre great pool and sauna, although the restaurant was not available, the staff were helpful with local recommendations , I choose to have food delivered to hotel and was able to have it in the bar area where the hotel provided cutlery and condiments, the breakfast was outstanding lots of choice and very good service. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very quiet

Great hotel with a very comfortable room; hallways a bit “weary” but I think they’re going to redo them. Easy to find, and staff extremely helpful. The pool is awesome! I got to swim laps for the first time since I’ve been in Ireland!

We had a large, modern, beautifully furnished room in this special hotel. It is very quiet and the park-like grounds are quite beautiful. We enjoyed drinks in the unique bar and appreciated the period details in the public spaces. Not a cold corporate feel like many chain hotels but rather a comfortable experience with many nice qualities.

Nice rooms and friendly staff. Shame they don't do evening meals and the pool was closed, but it does say this on their website. Black Bull pub, 15 minute walk away does good food, or the hotel will let you have takeaway in the bar. Would stay again.

Somewhat dated but still charming hotel in a tranquil nature setting. Not much interaction with staff, other than reception and breakfast staff, who were efficient. Disappointed that restaurant was not open and closest options for evening dining were too far to walk (especially in the rain). Leisure centre was fabulous - equipment, facilities and pool top notch. Only, small, complaint is that access required a 5 minute walk outside the hotel, which was not pleasant in the morning rain.

Has a lot of potential. But for the price compared to other hotels in the area, very disappointing. Hairs in bed, stained toilet seat, smell of smoke in room. Evening staff tried their best to address these issues. But the stay was tainted.

The staff at the property are so kind and attentive. Breakfast had so many options and the food was delicious. They were helpful in giving feedback for potential excursions and helped me make my last jam packed with adventures. The area on the patio needs to be dusted and cleaned because I couldn’t sit out there due to the excesses of webs on the patio chairs. Overall it was a great experience because of the staff and the group that I traveled with.

It is a beautiful older hotel on stunning grounds. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was above average for continental. The room was quite cold when we arrived but did heat up after a few hours. There is no restaurant or food service except breakfast. Needs some maintenance in carpets in stairwells but otherwise was lovely.

Comfortable bed and spotless room made our stay pleasant. Friendly and attentive staff added to our experience. Because it was our wedding anniversary I asked if the hotel could get me a bouquet of flowers for my wife. This was not a problem and they were in our room upon our arrival.

Great staff, free early check-in. Breakfast was excellent. That there was not a restaurant was no issue, as lots of local restaurants around town. Rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and spacious AND on the north side of Dublin's network and only 20 minutes drive in during rush hour in to the Dublin Airport.

The heating did not work in both rooms I reserved. Room 207 and room 205. They were extremely cold. I complained to the night porter to no avail. This is unacceptable. I paid a high price for my accommodation and would like comfort. I expect to receive fully refunded for both reservations.

Lovely walk up the drive, beautiful grounds to walk around. Room really spacious and modern, very clean. Nice welcome from man on reception. Good buses into town. Only downside was not enough other guests, to give it a buzz. Would stay again.

Place is affordable but it’s definitely dated. Breakfast was good and staff was great. They gave us handicap accessible room (I’m guessing it was last room available since we checked in very late). Shower walls were weird and did not stay close. Our beds were worn that there was depression and you couldn’t hardly turn to the side. It was very uncomfortable. I would not stay here again due to unrestful sleep. Also for some reason our room was extremely warm even with windows left open over night. They were sold out so we didn’t have any other options.

After 2 weeks in Ireland, finally a spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, hot shower and lovely few out to gardens. No restaurant but take away delivery options enjoyed in the bar was perfect for us. Good parking too, Organised a breakfast take away pack for us as we had to leave early. Very impressed with front desk service.

Overall, beautiful place to stay. Yes it’s gone through recent refurbishment, however, there are still some things that should be looked at. WIFI is available and free but if you’re staying on the 2nd floor towards the rear of the building, that connection cuts out as soon as you leave the elevator. Room was good with all the facilities needed. Only issue I’d have to say is the bathroom as the shower enclosure is wide open so water goes everywhere on the floor and that’s with me using the bath mat as well as the spare bath towel. Also, some repair work seems to have been done to the shower tray but it’s literally quick-dry sealant with gaps either end of the crack in the shower tray so it didn’t look totally fixed and messy. Breakfast was good and staff are so helpful and friendly. Would stay again but would hope for a better room layout and for any fixings to be made with more care.

While the property was nice, the room was inferior. The mattress was very hard, pillows were lumpy and the sheets were scratchy. The room was uncomfortably warm and we could not get it cooled down. The bathroom was missing toiletries normally expected in this price range hotel. Staff was pleasant and the property was clean. Breakfast only fair. In our 10 day stay in Ireland, this is the only property we had negative comments about.

The hotel was easily accessible from the train station in Drogheda. The staff were hugely helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable. We enjoyed the tea and coffee making facilities and the breakfast. The grounds were very impressive. A lovely stay!!!

The Hotel was fine. But Apple Maps misplaced it into a private residence a street over. We had to figure out where it was likely and make our way there to find a sign to the hotel. It's easy to get to actually, but its annoying not being able to rely on the GPS to get there!

Lovely quiet place to stay. Not much going on in the hotel. It’s a large guesthouse offering B&B only. They do advertise this so no surprises there. Staff were lovely and breakfast really nice. Beautiful old world charm about the place. Hotel very helpful to advise in ordering food in. They even put out plates etc for those who order food in.

Beautiful place even in the off season. Restaurant was not open for dinner so we walked into town for that. Breakfast was served in the morning. We were only able to partake in the continental breakfast because of our tight schedule.
