Although our room was very good we will try for an upgrade next time so that we can enjoy the setting. Still rate everything highly.

Child got took into hospital with Covid, tried to reschedule under very valid reasons called the hotel upwards of 5 times waiting on a call back from the manager which I’m still waiting on. Sent my parents in my place as I couldn’t go and the hotels response was sorry we have a wedding on today so we are too busy to call back and rectify, customer service is very bad and wouldn’t recommend as some guests seem to get priority over others. Bad experience all round rooms very small and hotel very noisy

Our room was very nice but no shower in bathroom, just shower head in bath. Breakfast was tasty but a little cold, dinner was ok , nothing special about it. Dinner table wasn’t cleaned properly, very sticky. Now the pool area, the pool itself was great, lots of jets. The decor around the pool area was badly in need of a facelift, tiles missing on walls , shower outside sauna not working properly and was very dirty. The changing room had no cubicles for parents with kids to change. The lockers had to be locked with a padlock which in this day and age surely there must be a better system. Played a round of golf and it was probably the worst greens I’ve ever played on. Stayed for two nights, overall it was very expensive for what you get. Wouldn’t stay there again

The hotel was extremely busy when we arrived so the check in was very slow. There were also queues at the bar. We had booked to play golf , but when we went to pay our green fees we were told it was captains day and the course was closed to visitors despite us having been booked in. We were very disappointed as this was the reason for our stay! Having said all this our room was lovely, large , quiet and overlooking the lough. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening, again it was very busy and some wines and meals had run out but what we had was good. Breakfast was excellent everything was replenished quickly and very good and fresh. Staff in general were very hard working and helpful. I would stay again but at a quieter time of year.
