Older hotel friendly employees for the most part … this is a 3 star hotel AC blew hot air and don’t count on the WiFi working at least on the top floors but only in the lobby for the most part … views are wonderful and town beaches are nice with Funchal very close for other dining sightseeing options . Elevators are a bit rough two for over 200 rooms so plan to wait at breakfast check out and in the evening … hotel is like something out of a 1970s movie but the pool is nice proximity to the beach and the fantastic hiking on the Pennisula ….

Slightly dated looking, but seemingly well kept high rise hotel perched up in a corner close to the beach in Machico. Comfy bed, clean and relatively spacious room, and clean bathroom, too. Good water pressure in shower. Very good breakfast in a nice big room with a nice view over the bay. Only negative thing to me was very limited parking. But, I'd stay again!

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. Aéroport juste à coté ainsi que la fameuse plage de sable jaune de Machico accessible à pied depuis l'hôtel. Nous avons même eu l'agréable surprise de recevoir une bouteille de champagne offerte pour l'anniversaire de mon amie. Petit déjeuner très bon et complet. Les petits points négatifs sont l'isolation de l'hôtel (on entend les avions et les personnes dans le couloir) ainsi que le parking pratiquement inexistant. Il est difficile de se garer.

We would stay again.Good points: staff helpful and professional, breakfast was fab, within 10 mins drive from the airport, a great location to plan our itinerary, lots happening in the town within easy walking distance, beach 1 minute walk away. Negative points: insufficient parking - we were lucky,insufficient power points in rooms, no complimentary Tea & coffee, no irons to be hired , we hired pool towels but were not given refund when we returned them.

One of the two elevators was broken the entire stay, all 7 nights, and the elevator that did work was insanely slow. We waited up to 10 minutes to take it one way, so staying at the top floor and going down for breakfast and up again was a hassle. Also the wifi was down for several days which when you are traveling internationally is not want you want, it's your contact to your home country.

In a perfect position the Dom Pedro lived up to our expectations. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The bus stop is nearby for reaching other parts of the island as well as the airport. Our room had fantastic views of the bay. The only downside was no kettle in our room but we knew about this and brought our own travel kettle. There was also no hairdryer which is unusual for a 4 star hotel but this did not spoil our enjoyment. Evening entertained was a nice touch.

The hotel was nice. Great breakfast and nice pool area. U fortunately room hot as too big for air conditioner to work and our oatio o ean virw wzs obstructed by a big tent for a party outside our room that pkayed very loud music till midnight.

Negativ 1. Leider gibt es im Hotel ein Kakerlakenproblem, wenngleich die Zimmer an uns für sich sauber waren. 2. Die Balkonzimmer haben kaum Ausblick, da diese nur in den unteren Etagen vorhanden sind. Ein schöner, weiter Blick auf die Bucht ist daher nicht gegeben. 3. Zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthaltes war auf der Promenade vor unserem Hotel ein Fest. Es warbis in die späte Nacht sehr laut und wir konnten nicht schlafen. Schade, dass das Hotelmanagement sich hier nicht für die Gäste eingesetzt hat. Positiv 1. Das Frühstück war ausreichend 2. Der Preis für die Hotelübernachtung ist im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels günstig 3. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Les chambres mériterait un vrai rafraîchissement, pas digne d'un 4 etoiles. Poubelles non videes à notre arrivée et cheveux au sol. As soon as you walk in you notice the hotel has a terrible smell. I reserved a room with a double bed but was told at check in that isn’t guaranteed and received a room with two twin beds. The pillow cases had stains on them.

La struttura in sé è un po' datata e le camere sarebbero da aggiornare, il cibo è molto buono, il.personale è molto cordiale, tanti extra aggiunti senza pagare per la notte di capodanno molto bravi. Un po' di parcheggio in più non guasterebbe ma ce ne sono tanti vicini sicuri e gratuiti. Ci dovrebbe essere.un po' più di insonorizzazione. Nel complesso ottimo hotel.

The air conditioning in my room did not work and the sheets on the bed were uncomfortable so it was very difficult to sleep at night. Otherwise the hotel is nice for the price. Clean. Nice staff. Nice pool and good breakfast.

The staff is fantastic. The property is well kept, but is an older 10 years but in good repair. I think the property is better than many of the reviews that expected a new property. We like the quiet cute town of Machico. We worked with the hotel staff to extend our stay 4 more days!! Many nice restaurants in walking distance, It about 20 euros to get Uber to Funchal for tourist shopping.

The location was very good, especially for going on different excursions around Madeira. Breakfast was a highlight – nice selection and tasty options that we really enjoyed. Parking was a bit cramped, and the overall standard of the hotel felt somewhat outdated and in need of an upgrade. That said, the facilities and room still felt clean and fairly well maintained, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, our stay was affected by a water leakage in the room (from the bathtub-shower), which caused inconvenience. While the staff noted our complaint, we did not feel the situation was followed up in a satisfactory way, and the lack of compensation was disappointing. Overall, the hotel has potential due to its location and breakfast, but improvements in both service and facilities are needed.

Jag har haft en väldigt fin vistelse här. Personalen är underbar, hjälpsam och alltid trevlig. Man känner sig verkligen välkommen från första stund. Rummet är rent och välstädat, med allt man behöver för en bekväm vistelse. Läget är också perfekt – nära havet och med en lugn och avkopplande atmosfär. Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta hotell och skulle gärna bo här igen.

The hotel is super close to the airport in a beautiful town with lots of restaurants. The staff at the front desk were rude and were complaining about us to one another in Portuguese right in front of us. It was extremely unprofessional and off-putting. We went to the bar for a drink and the male bartender there was so rude. Acted like we were a HUGE inconvenience and wouldn’t give us a minute to view the drink menu. He kept asking ‘just what do you want?’ I told him we just needed a minute and he kept pressuring us to order now. There was no one else in the bar so it’s not like we were holding up the line. We ordered a vodka lime, gin and tonic and one of the drinks off their drink menu. Only one of them was decent. The other two were undrinkable. We were not impressed.

They say they have parking but its often full. The food at the restaurant is very bad and most of the staff are rude. The views from the room is great though. It feels like a cheap hotel, you just pay for the view and the location (easy to walk to the beach, old town)

Very convenient for overnight stay prior to a pre-dawn flight from FNC. Close to beach and centre of Machico. But: band playing loudly in square outside hotel until 12:40am and noisy Aircon made it hard to get up at 3:30am to catch flight. And it's right under the take off flight path... Very dated decor but room we'll equipped and functional

Great hotel in Machico! We booked a few nights here to get away from Funchal but still be close to hiking and the airport. This hotel was perfect! A short walk to a small beach and a the few restaurants nearby were great! The breakfast was also good, highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und konnten morgens beim Aufstehen direkt auf die Bucht schauen. In der kleinen Stadt sind viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt). Auf dem Gelände an sich sind nur 4 Parkmöglichkeiten, aber man kann kostenfrei an der Straße parken. Etwas weiter den Hügel hoch ist ein großer Parkplatz, der kostenfrei genutzt werden kann (Mit Koffern etwas anstrengend, aber machbar :) ). Das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend und lecker. Hotel ist ca. 5 min. vom Flughafen entfernt, also super entspannt. Gerne wieder :)
