Hotel Monaco

The property was ok. Everything was a bit dated. The pool wasn't well maintained and the breakfast wasn't good. But overall, it was affordable and clean.

Great hotel. Clean and close to the airport with a free shuttle. Simple breakfast but plenty of food. I would recommend this hotel.

Check in was seamless and accommodating. Unfortunately no airport shuttle which is why this hotel was chosen.

Nice room near the airport with a shuttle service. The bar and food is good too. Not a spectacular view, but very handy if you have a morning flight. I would certainly stay again.

Dårlig placering. Intet reelt fitnessrum og meget lille pool. Restauranten var med skævt gulv i en kælder uden vinduer.

Facilities are a bit dated, especially the elevator/electrical outlets etc. Staff was friendly and helpful—good food downstairs.

Staff friendly. The food however is not good. Nothing fresh. It all seems to feel microwaved. Our room this time was in need of freshening up. Shuttle service is a bonus.

Nedslidt hotel og restaurant. Beskidt poolområde. Problemer med vand - skiftede meget mellem varm og kold. Larmende aircondition. Ud af 4 hoteller på vores rejse i Portugal var dette det dyreste OG det dårligste!

Would have been a 5 year experience except the weird shuttle and breakfast schedule. It is an airport hotel but the shuttle doesn’t start until 8am, meaning it is worthless to anyone with a flight before 10am (probably 50 flights before 10am). The breakfast also doesnt start until 730 but they pack you a bag so its not too bad. It would be 5 star if they fixed the shuttle situation.

Very inefficient check in. Despite available personnel in the back office only one member of the staff took care ot the front desk. Lead to long wait. Room was tired and had a distinct smell of smoke. Pool area was also very tired and in need of freshening up as the rest of the hotel. Good location since it is close to the airport but you need a car.

I checked in late, was quick & easy. Tired after a long day of traveling, I went to my nice double((king size bed) lakeside view room but neighbours were making loads of noise at 9:15pm. Could hear everything as walls very thin. Tried calling reception but no answer, had to go back down to reception, I was being seen to, by same man, he explained to the manager my situation but then 3 other already checked in guest turned up. I was left feeling frustrated for what seemed like 5 minutes and just wanted to go to sleep. I was given a new key card by the manager, unfortunately my room was facing the inside with twin beds, which were very firm & uncomfortable. I nearly fell out of the bed. There was no kettle in the room? Had to boil a pan of water to make a hot drink. There was long hairs on the floor in the bedroom & bathroom. The breakfast was just ok for me. Their rule was that you had to wear a swimming cap to use the jacuzzi & spa area. That you had to buy, I can not wear a cap due to my hairstyle, therefore could not use the spa. The house keepers were very noisy from 8am. I was there 2 nights & my room wasn’t cleaned. I asked for late check out on departure day but was advised I could not on the room i was in! At check out I handed over my key, was not asked if everything was okay with my stay? I had 2 X cases and struggling with shopping and none of the 2 people at the check in desk asked if I needed help when leaving.

Needed a hotel for one night - it was clean, near the airport, but could do with a good update. Just looked tired. Staff were great. And it was spotlessly clean.

The whole place was very clean, the staff was great, helpful and friendly. The wifi was quick to connect and worked fast. Breakfast was better than some other hotels i had stayed in EU.

Nice staff. Accommodation clean and comfortable but the place is worn and tired and in need of a refurb. It's very dated. We returned to our room to find the bathroom flooded and water pouring from the floor above.

The breakfast was brilliant and the staff are very friendly. The cleaning could have been improved upon. There was hair all over the bathroom. Whist they say the shuttle is included and you just need to contact them to arrange, unfortunately they did not respond to my numerous emails. Overall it's ok for 1 night

The receptionist was great but overworked, it looked like her Supervisor was in the office behind her but did nothing to alleviate the queue of 6 customers check in - that was disappointing. Took us 45mins to check in.

The whole place was very clean, the staff was great, helpful and friendly. The wifi was quick to connect and worked fast. Breakfast was better than some other hotels i had stayed in EU.

This was a great hotel, comfortable beds, spacious room, close to airport, nice, helpful front desk staff.

The only negative was the patio door in room 302 did not latch or lock - otherwise a good property close to Faro Airport

Hotel is a bit dated. Ok for somewhere to get your head down for a few hours before an early flight. However was noisy.

Simple hotel which was budget friendly. Staff were pleasant and polite. The hotel just needs a bit of a facelift looks bit old and dark, could do with being brighter with more natural light. Breakfast was reasonably good. Very thin walls however could hear doors slamming and people even running taps from my room.

The heat did not work well in our room. After technician came and said it was fine, it still didn’t heat up the room. We were chilled all night. Otherwise a lovely hotel with friendly staff

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We just stayed overnight but they organized breakfast to go. Food in the restaurant/bar was decent and reasonable.

No airport shuttle, however, taxi from airport is easy and inexpensive. Nice hotel, great breakfast, excellent coffee, staff very kind and helpful to a weary traveler!

Despite advertising an airport shuttle they did not provide one. Also did not even try to accommodate an early checkin request leaving my elderly mother to sit in the lobby for five hours.

Luckily their bar serves food, but what I ordered was one of those prepared supermarket dinners that they microwaved (I was shown the package). There is ac in the rooms but mine didn’t work properly and I wasn’t able to sleep. On the flip side, staff was fabulous! Very friendly and helpful.

Staff at desk gave a key that didn’t work. She reset it and then it opened the door of an occupied room When we returned to the desk for a 3rd time she said she gave us the wrong room and gave us another key to the room beside. I didn’t feel secure.

It was a two day stay and it was amazing. The hotel has many characteristics and it very quaint. It had all the amenities and amazing staff. Also, it’s a six minute Uber from downtown Faro.

Friendly and very clean. 10 minutes from Faro Aerport, 15-25 minutes From Faro historical city, Nearby busstop.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel it is close to the airport and in very quiet neighbourhood the staff were helpful with the exception the cleaner didn’t empty our bins and didn’t replenish on some of the toiletries from the previous day. The breakfast was good.

Great place to stay close to the airport. Really good quality clean rooms, excellent service, good wifi. Only 30 minutes walk from the airport if your that way inclinerd.

Dieses Hotel hat definitiv keine 4* verdient. Es ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Für eine Nacht in der Nähe zum Flughafen ok, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt wohl eher weniger zu empfehlen.

The food at the hotel bar was great. While the hotel is a little outside the city center, there is a bus stop 3 minutes from the hotel and you can get downtown in 20-30 minutes for under €3

The hotel overall is ok, it’s clean and check-in was friendly, that’s about it though. Everything else is bare bones in the room & bathroom. Breakfast was just not tasty, lots of stale stuff and the eggs had a griddy texture and the coffee was terrible, it tasted like it sat in the container for 3 days/totally burned. The cappuccino maker was not really much better.

Awful restaurant but excellent full morning buffet. Bare bones, just the essentials, close to airport. Short drive to downtown. Would stay again
