The Hotel is great I would recommend it to all my friends. But the wifi sucks. Very weak wifi and only intermittent in the rooms No wifi at the beach nor at the breakfast/lunch areas. I think serious attention needs to be paid to the wifi in that hotel as it is an easy solution with low cost and huge benefit to the clients.

Great property. Would be much better if they had microwaves and coffee maker in room. Prices at the restaurant are way too expensive. Everything else is great, the location, wildlife, and beach is amazing.

Right at the beach, walking distance from Manuel Antonio National Park; beautiful gardens where you could spot white-faced monkeys and birds. Reserve a room in the main building for better views and quick access to the beach. Excellent restaurant and service.

The location is wonderful, featuring a very nice beach. The bungalows situated on the hill offer a stunning view; however, the climb to the top can be inconvenient if you have to do it multiple times a day. To reach the beach or the restaurant where breakfast is served, you must cross a street with fast-moving cars. There is no clearly marked crosswalk, making it quite dangerous. Speed bumps are definitely needed in this area.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. The property is divided by a road. The room we booked was on the hill as opposed to being closer to the beach. We were lucky to change over to the beach side of the property by paying a little extra. Biggest advantage is that the property has its own private beach. Private parking and access to the beach def are the big plusses. Half.a mile down the road is the Manuel Antonio national park.

We stayed in room #7 and it was a steep climb up the stairs, but the views made it worth it. Rooms were basic with 2 beds, sitting chair, mini fridge, and bathroom. No TV but did not want one with so much to do. WiFi worked great. Breakfast was included and was perfect. Pool was very nice. Restaurant had good menu options and the staff was super nice. Beach chairs and umbrellas provided too.

I almost hate to review this property because I love it so much. The KEY is to reserve a room in the white building on the ocean side of the road. This last time we were in the building above the road, where there's a lot of road noise and the air conditioning didn't work right (there was water literally pooling on the floor). The second night we moved down the hill to the white building and were very happy. The amazing thing about this hotel is it's right on the best part of Espadilla beach and there are lovely gardens and mature trees, so I've seen sloths and monkeys just on the grounds. The restaurant overlooks the beach and they have tables and chairs on the beach. It's an older hotel, so a little worn around the edges, but that's why they have such a prime location. About a 30 min walk down the beach to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. It's quieter than the crush of hotels that are right by the park. Staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful! Still our first choice for Manuel Antonio.

Hôtel bien situé juste à la sortie de la ville de Quepos, avec la plage extraordinaire donnant directement sur le terrain de l’hôtel. Le restaurant de l’hôtel offre un bon petit déjeuner (inclus) et un beau menu pour les autres repas. La nourriture y est très bonne, et le service du restaurant est de grande qualité. Le vin maison y est très correct. Par contre, les chambres sont usées et défraîchies, quoique très grandes. Le comptoir de salle de bain de notre chambre était cassé, et très mal réparé, ce qui laissait un aspect de négligence de la part de l’administration. Pour les gens qui aiment un matelas un peu plus mou, vous dormirez bien. Nous préférons un matelas un peu plus ferme. Nos chambres étaient situés côté montagne (versus plage) et il nous fallait traverser la rue pour accéder à la plage, ce qui n’est pas un problème en soit, mais sachez que les chambres côté montagnes sont très bruyantes car on y entend camions, motos et autobus toute la journée et toute la nuit. N’espérez pas dormir beaucoup plus tard que 5h00 ou 6h00 du matin. Privilégiez plutôt une chambre côté plage, pour un peu plus cher, si vous avez le sommeil fragile.

Quite nice hotel in close proximity to the beach, but way too expencive for the level of quality. Our room was decent and with a small balcony with a view of the garden. Garden is quite nice and had lots of cool animals living in it. Like monkeys, iguanas and anolis. Room was clean with nice temperature on arrival. Bathroom was not to big, but had a very nice shower. Small pool area witch was also perfectly fine. The biggest week point of this hotel is the restaurant. Location and feel of the restaurant is absolutely amazing. Right on the beach with beautiful view. But the food and drink quality is shookingly poor and the prices are insane. Quality and price is by far the biggest miss match I experienced in Costa Rica. And it's a shame. Quality food and cocktails in this location would be absolutely perfect.!! Also the breakfast was served in this restaurant at the beach and was not that much more impressive. Eggs scrambled to death and no orange jucie, but a mixed soft drink with orange flavor. Rice and beans were the highlight of the breakfast and that was decent. So perfectly fine hotel with a restaurant that dosent service it justice.

The grounds are lovely and the beach access can’t be beat. Nice outdoor restaurant with the best ceviche and the kindest staff. But our room? Not very clean. No vent fan in the tiny bathroom. A/C barely adequate. Our bed was great, though. We were fine for a few nights but probably won’t stay again.

We booked a room on the ocean side. The room itself was pretty awful and depressing. We had no hot water, Wi-Fi was spotty & inconsistent, our tiny TV did not work. The room is basically like a sad, white box with an uncomfortable chair stuck in the corner. The included breakfast buffet was horrible. Cold eggs, tasteless cheese, jelly from a pouch, no meat. None of us ate it. I'm rating it a 2 instead of a 1 because the beach area is beautiful and we had monkeys right beside our balcony. Also, the manager let us cancel two of our four nights which was nice.

It was great having the beach and being close to the park. The room was simple, nothing fancy but the a/c worked well and the garden was well maintained. It's higher priced for the location and beach access.

I enjoyed staying at this resort. My room was higher up on the hill which was a flight of stairs to get there. But it was tranquil to be surrounded by nature including seeing monkeys swinging through the trees and iguanas roaming in the terrain. I missed having a Tv for night downtime or distraction. The resort’s restaurant, pool, and beach were about a five to ten minute walk from the hillside rooms.

We stayed at one of the Villa Deluxe which has the most wonderful views! Based on the previous reviews we didn't have much expectations but it ultimately proved to be a great choice. The hotel premises is split in 2, by the main road. On the upper part up the hill is the reception and part of the rooms - incl. the Villas ~ there are several steps up to reach these rooms, a bit of effort, however totally worth it + the hotel personnel helped with our luggage. These rooms have only limited sea view. Our Villa was clean and cute, although not very spacious it was enough for us and the view was breathtaking. The only con was the low water pressure. From Villa to beach it took approx 4min. Breakfast is quite basic and restaurant food average with huge portions. Beautiful beach with service (sunbeds, umbrellas, food, drinks) and most amazing sunsets. The hotel personnel has been friendly and helpful too. All in all, definitely recommend the Villa Deluxe and enjoying the beach at the hotel!

The hotel premises is split in 2, by the main road. Not the greatest experience. Hospitality isn't great and service everywhere is very slow. Took an hour to get some Nachos for dinner and there were hardly any one at the restaurant eating. Check in is easy but our room was at the top of the stairs and luckily we had small bags because it wasn't an issue for us but if you have large bags, good luck! They don't offer any help either. Wifi is terrible and didn't reach our room. We had to work and it was too hot to sit outside and work so don't count on wifi in the room. Good things: Nice beach access and the room we stayed in had an incredible view! I would not come back here for the price. Maybe everything in Costa Rica is expensive, I am not sure as this was our first time, but for the money, was not worth it. Amazing Airbnb down the street next to the park gate that is 3 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the front gate entrance. 100% recommend that instead!

The staff have been amazing and kind. Very attentive to your needs. The beach is wonderful and sloths are right by the restaurant so our kids got to see them as well as monkeys. We stayed here last time we were in Costa Rica 10 yrs ago and it hasn't changed. Would recommend staying here.

After a week of rain in Costa Rica, we finally arrived at Manuel Antonio Beach and the Karahe Beach Hotel and we loved it! We had a room near the beach & restaurant. The grounds were beautiful, room was convenient to the pool, beach & restaurant and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

My twenty year old daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Karahe Beach Hotel. The property is beautiful. The restaurant was excellent. The property is on two sides of the road. We did upgrade to be on the beach side of the property which was more convenient being closer to the pool and restaurant. We even saw a sloth and white faced Monkeys on the property. The beach is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Close to thebeach. Everyone was very nice. There is no way to reach the office, unless you walk up the hill. Not good in case of emergency. A microwave in room would be nice. Saw lots of wildlife which was cool

We absolutely loved this hotel! It was like paradise! The staff were super friendly and super helpful. The pool and the beach and the restaurant were all amazing. The rooms were great. We had booked a room up the hill and were offered an upgrade when we got there for a reasonable fee and we were so glad we made the change. We will definitely be back to this wonderful hotel!

I really loved the beach and that is exactly what you are paying for here -- the proximity. All the staff were truly amazing most especially the folks working at the restaurant (S/o Eric). Quepos is close but requires taxi, Uber worked best for me. Hotel is walking distance from Manuel Antonio Park which is great but the day I was there it was closed (Tuesdays apparently). The hotel is fine and everything was in decent working order. Some insects around at times but what can you do. The monkeys in the trees at breakfast are a hoot. All and all I'd highly recommend it simply because you can walk from your hotel room and within short minutes be on the beach. I had a wonderful time visiting here thanks for the memories

The bungalows situated on the hill offer a stunning view; however, the climb to the top can be inconvenient if you have to do it multiple times a day. To reach the beach or the restaurant where breakfast is served, you must cross a street with fast-moving cars. There is no clearly marked crosswalk, making it quite dangerous. Speed bumps are definitely needed in this area.

I almost hate to review this property because I love it so much. The KEY is to reserve a room in the white building on the ocean side of the road. This last time we were in the building above the road, where there's a lot of road noise and the air conditioning didn't work right (there was water literally pooling on the floor). The second night we moved down the hill to the white building and were very happy. The amazing thing about this hotel is it's right on the best part of Espadilla beach and there are lovely gardens and mature trees, so I've seen sloths and monkeys just on the grounds. The restaurant overlooks the beach and they have tables and chairs on the beach. It's an older hotel, so a little worn around the edges, but that's why they have such a prime location. About a 30 min walk down the beach to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. It's quieter than the crush of hotels that are right by the park. Staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful! Still our first choice for Manuel Antonio.

Being right across from the beach was incredibly convenient, even with the busy street. The real highlight was our room at the top of the hill – the view was simply spectacular! We booked a room on the ocean side. The room itself was pretty awful and depressing. We had no hot water, Wi-Fi was spotty & inconsistent, our tiny TV did not work. The room is basically like a sad, white box with an uncomfortable chair stuck in the corner. The included breakfast buffet was horrible. Cold eggs, tasteless cheese, jelly from a pouch, no meat. None of us ate it. I'm rating it a 2 instead of a 1 because the beach area is beautiful and we had monkeys right beside our balcony. Also, the manager let us cancel two of our four nights which was nice.

Værelset var udmærket og indeholdt det vi havde brug for. Morgenmaden var god, men nogen gange lidt forsinket og det gjorde at vi ikke nåede ret meget morgenmad de dage, hvor vi skulle tidligt af sted på udflugter og derfor kun havde knap 30 min til morgenmad - og mindre ved forsinkelse. Personalet var venligt og rengøringen fin. Fantastisk var det rige vilde dyreliv som udspillede sig lige uden for værelsesdøren og ved restaurant og strand (sjældne aber - flere arter, dovendyr, vaskebjørn og fugle). Overordnet var det et dejlig ophold og vi kommer gerne igen.

Quite nice hotel in close proximity to the beach, but way too expencive for the level of quality. Our room was decent and with a small balcony with a view of the garden. Garden is quite nice and had lots of cool animals living in it. Like monkeys, iguanas and anolis. Room was clean with nice temperature on arrival. Bathroom was not to big, but had a very nice shower. Small pool area witch was also perfectly fine. The biggest week point of this hotel is the restaurant. Location and feel of the restaurant is absolutely amazing. Right on the beach with beautiful view. But the food and drink quality is shookingly poor and the prices are insane. Quality and price is by far the biggest miss match I experienced in Costa Rica. And it's a shame. Quality food and cocktails in this location would be absolutely perfect.!! Also the breakfast was served in this restaurant at the beach and was not that much more impressive. Eggs scrambled to death and no orange jucie, but a mixed soft drink with orange flavor. Rice and beans were the highlight of the breakfast and that was decent. So perfectly fine hotel with a restaurant that dosent service it justice.

Building work going on at the hotel. No Knowledge of this on booking. Travelled as a group of 6 with 3 rooms all with ensuite bathrooms for 2 night. No working shower in any room for 2 days and no working toilet in 2 rooms for 2 days. Provided 1 shower in a room a walk away upstairs between 6 of us so missed our planned sunset restaurant booking and unable to shower on returning from jet skiing. Asked for a partial refund on booking but refused and offered 50us dollars towards a lunch meal but this would not even provide lunch for 2 of the six of us as restaurant is ridiculously expensive for mediocre food. Breakfast worst in costa rica. Not even fresh juice but artificially coloured juice from a supermarket bottle. Food all cooked and left to stand on heated plates

Asked for a partial refund on booking but refused and offered 50us dollars towards a lunch meal but this would not even provide lunch for 2 of the six of us as restaurant is ridiculously expensive for mediocre food. Breakfast worst in costa rica. Not even fresh juice but artificially coloured juice from a supermarket bottle. Food all cooked and left to stand on heated plates

We liked our stay at Karahe Beach Hotel. The parking was good and available on the level of your room. The rooms aren’t fancy but clean and had all the necessities. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all requests. The beach is beautiful. We saw a variety of wildlife and the monkeys were very entertaining. Prices at the restaurant were a bit higher than average but breakfast was provided free.

Basic rooms but clean and safe. As solo women traveling with my best friend we felt safe. Hotel requires key card access to the beach, restaurant, and rooms on the beach. The complimentary breakfast was good. I appreciated having a beach chair, umbrella and towel with beach service. Hotel is very close drive about 6 minutes to Manuel Antonio National Park, which is a must see. Will stay again.

The hotel has access to the beach and the staff is friendly. However, the hotel is divided in 2 sections one near the beach and the other crossing the street, near the reception. The last ones are very noisy and do not have view. You need to cross, the main street to go to the restaurant and all services. It is not recommendable for people with mobility difficulties if you are in this section of the hotel
