Service was excellent but because it was in the middle of changing over to a Hampton Inn it was a little confusing to get there. I would be happier if you didn’t charge for parking.

I didn't like having to pay for parking. The room was clean, pool, clean, people staying there were friendly and respectful. This is the first time I had to pay for parking. Was the area unsafe? I don't know.

Everything was great from the cleanliness and comfort of our room. Checking in was smooth with friendly staff. The breakfast was great as well. My only complaint was the parking late at night. I came back from universal and had to park in the driveway due to all the parking spots taken. Sorta would have liked my truck parked in the underground parking area. The security guard assisted me which was helpful, but I didn’t have peace of mind with my truck parked near the street.

This place is incredible to stay in if you’re planning to spend your days in universal park! We enjoyed the confort of the bed, the breakfast, the support of the staff, the amenities. This hotel has its own parking place which made it feel safe and the price was reasonable (15 usd all day rate).

The property is undergoing remodeling. The fitness center is closed although the website says it’s available. The pool is only approachable from an outside staircase which also is closed. They still charge a full room rent and parking. The breakfast is nice though!

I was very disappointed. We came and hotel was under construction & still had to pay $15 for parking. I stayed on the 4th floor and the # 4 button (in the elevator) didn’t work so I had to go to the 5th floor and walk downstairs each time. I definitely would not stay there again.

Very clean, modern hotel. Nice staff, easy parking and great breakfast. I liked that elevators had keycard access only to room floors. Felt very safe and again we noticed the lobby and rooms were spotless. The beds were so comfortable I fell asleep early! We stayed for one night for Universal Studios. It was a 10 minute drive away. Such a great place to stay for our trip. Got there early enough for the kids to enjoy the heated pool and left the next day refreshed and with full bellies ready to enjoy Universal.

My family and I stayed here for the first time and we were highly pleased with the service and cleanliness of the environment. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast options as well. We’ll be staying here again in the near future for our next trip to SoCal.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean overall however, on our 3rd night there was an actual mushroom that sprouted from the ceiling where it appears was an area of moisture. We let the staff know and they said they would make sure their managers knew. Upon checkout there was all other mushroom sprouting from the ceiling. Again we let the staff know and recommended they block off that room until the matter was resolved. Other than that the stay was honestly great.

The minute we walked in the room we noticed a bad smell , the carpet was soaked wet (Gross ). Bad service. We won’t stay here ever again .

Nice place, clean and safe. The room was nice and clean, the bad was very comfortable. The housekeeper has cleaned up the room every day and all towels are changed. The breakfast was great and have many good choices. I really recommend this place and for sure I will comeback.

The property is undergoing renovation, but our room had already undergone the update. The lobby is a bit of a work-in-progress, but breakfast was available, and it wasn't off-putting. The room itself was clean, modern, and pleasant. Heating/Cooling worked well, and it was quiet. Bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

Checked into our room late in the evening. Got up in the morning to take a shower the shower had no water pressure. Phone in the hotel room didn’t work. Went down to the front desk and they said they were out of room so if I needed to shower they only had dirty rooms available. Waited until later and got moved to a different room and the water in the shower would not get hot. This hotel is terrible. I would never stay here again.

The Hotel is being remodeled. As such, the fitness room was not available. The new chairs in the rooms are uncomfortable, there is only one drawer for storing clothes and there is no work desk in the room.

The room was clean and spacious, but the beds were awful; they were thin, hard mattresses on a wooden slab. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was extremely subpar and tasted like wet, powdered eggs. The location was a hole in the wall; in fact, I missed it on my first attempt and had to backtrack. All in all, it was mediocre, and I'd rather try somewhere else next time.

Stayed for 3 nights to go to Universal Studios. Room was clean and staff were super accommodating. Onsite laundry was super useful as well ($1 per load). Was able to get a 5th floor room so street level noise wasn’t an issue (other reviews had mentioned this). Pool was small, but my kids still enjoyed it. Area surrounding the hotel has plenty of options for food. It’s about 15ish min from Universal Studios which is super convienent. I had considered other hotels closer to the park, but i’m glad i chose Hampton Inn. Overall 10/10 experience, would stay here again.

We stay at this formerly named Holiday Inn Express every time we come to L.A. because it's convenient to where our daughter and son-in-law live, it's clean, has secure parking, and offers a free breakfast with the stay. Additionally, it's freeway close, the staff is friendly, and the rooms have both a min-refrigerator and microwave oven. This said, we were happier with our rooms before the renovation and conversion to Hampton Inn management. The one piece cabinet ensemble that houses the microwave and fridge comes with only one drawer to store clothes and is of low quality. Additionally, there is no longer a safe in the room, no desk, and the chairs are horribly uncomfortable.

It was average. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn. Room was typical Hampton Inn. Fridge wasn’t very cold at all. Called the front desk, they had someone come check, was given “it is here just to keep things from getting hot, not necessarily to make them cold”

Arrived at 3 and was informed rooms were not ready multiple people ahead of us waiting for their rooms as well. Hotel did not offer market place due to renovations which we were not informed of . Also put a $150 hold on credit card for incidentals that they did not inform us of.

We arrived really late and left early. There was a problem with the computer when we checked in, but they were able to get us in to our room quickly and we figured it out in the morning. Breakfast was a little chaotic with everyone in a tiny corner of the lobby trying to get food.

As for the hotel itself, it's clean and kept nicely. However I had a less than favorable experience here due to 2 of the employees. My boyfriend and I stayed for 1 night, just a little get away because he travels a lot for work. In The morning as we're getting ready to leave, we get an abrupt knock at the door. My boyfriend answers the door and meanwhile I am still getting dressed. It was the front desk receptionist or manager with a security guard, asking if we had been smoking marijuana in our hotel room. They insisted they both come in and check out the room while we're getting ready to leave. They walked around and looked in our things and wiped the window sill with their fingers as if searching for residue of some sort.I was surprised they demanded to come in right then and there while im getting dressed, considering we were going to be leaving in the next 30 minutes. We don't even smoke weed and there was absolutely nothing we could have been doing to smell like weed. They said we got complaints from our neighbors that it smelled like weed, even though the hotel is literally located around several different smoke shops and dispensaries. Just thought it was really rude to come knock on our door accusing us of smoking and then coming in and inspecting the room while we're standing there awkwardly. It was just off, especially because they were like "yeah it doesn't look like you guys were smoking in here" and were like yeah cause we weren't. Won't stay here again.

We had booked a room with a king bed, but upon check-in, we were given two queen beds instead. The hotel was undergoing extensive construction, making the environment dusty and noisy throughout our stay. Additionally, there had been a change in hotel ownership, which was not reflected on Hotels.com at the time of booking. As compensation for not honoring the original room type, the hotel offered free parking. However, despite multiple reminders, the parking fee was still added to our final bill—and the amount charged to our credit card does not match the invoice provided. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

I felt my car was safe in parking garage, staff was always friendly, kind and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The surrounding area is def not nice but that’s not the hotels fault that’s just Hollywood these days unfortunately. Affordable comfortable stay for our weekend trip to universal. The drive to and from theme park was quick and easy.

Bottom line: I'd stay here again. Cons: The hotel location isn't in an ideal location, safety wise, but it's ok. To drive to the hotel, the entry way is a bit awkward. Pros: Hot breakfast. Clean room. Cookies in the lobby during the day. Close drive to Universal Studios, and walking distance to take the subway to Universal Studios and Hollywood/ Ovation Mall.

The hotel was clean, the rooms were nice and so was the staff. The area isn’t amazing but outside of that I have no complaints. We used the hotel for visiting universal, it was close and an easy drive. With traffic it took about 15 mins, no traffic was about 6.

We stayed overnight during our visit to universal, it was very close to the park. Reading some of the reviews that says the area was sketchy I was little concerned but I would say there was nothing sketchy about the area, it is a typical LA neighborhood. Breakfast was good. Parking was very convenient for a reasonable $10 fee. Overall we were happy with our stay as a family of 4.

Our stay was great. Came with the family to Universal Studios. Staff here were friendly, professional and assured our needs were met. The breakfast was amazing…from cereals, oatmeal, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, sausage, bacon, eggs, and an option for eggs whites and Turkey bacon!!! Never seen that before!

This hotel was the nicest we have stayed near Universal Studios. The breakfast was good, included potatoes, sausage and eggs each day. Waffle machine, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereals, juice and coffee. The beds were decent, the bedding was soft. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and lotion in wall mounted containers. Microwave was tiny byt we made it work. Parking garage is a little difficult to get in and out of.

Property was under construction I was unaware at the time of booking. There was no hot water in the room. Breakfast was disgusting. I don't think this hotel was worth the $200 I paid per night.
