Days Inn by Wyndham Culpeper

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our stay is comfortable and happy. They also take excellent care of their pool. Our room was very clean. The house keepers there make daily visits to fix beds, take trash etc.. we also loved that it included tickets per each guest to enjoy complimentary breakfast at Peppers Gril. Their food was so good. They even gave the kids free icecream.

I did not like the fact that there was no easy access to get luggage to my room.I am a 75 year old woman and I had to lug my luggage up 5 steps and believe me, I looked after a 10 p.m. check in!! Same leaving.

Not abad facility. No restaurant as advertised

Came in town for a wedding and had an amazing stay. Recommend anybody that wants to get out of town and come to the beautiful countryside and not too far from DC. I will definitely be back. Pool and restaurant was a nice bonus.

I liked the patio/pool area and the breakfast was very good. When I see the Wyndham name associated with a hotel/motel l I expect a greater degree of cleanliness, upkeep, and customer care/service. My room was on the second floor. The railing was unstable, the elevator was out of service, and there was a sizeable gap between the door to my room and the door frame. When I checked in I was informed there would be a function that included a local vendor with taste testing, Unfortunately, when I came down to participate in the event there was no event, and the front desk customer service representative was very unengaged to even inquire what happened. To that end, the front desk team were definitely not informed of the events in the facility for that evening and weekend. Not a place I would stay at in the future.

Not the newest place, but can’t beat the location, price, and the weekend breakfasts are pretty good too. We didn’t use the pool, but families were and it was clean and looked nice.

The hotel was clean. The pool looked very nice, although we did not use it. They are doing a lot of renovations, but it was quiet during the weekend while we were there.

We got there. Took a shower next morning when we got up went to get dressed. The bottom of our feet were black from the dirt from the floors.

Every room smells heavily of cigarette smoke

For the rate of this room and the condition of the room, i feel i should get half my money back. Dirty spotted bedding that forced me and my wife to go to Walmart and purchase 2 king comforter sets to sleep on the beds. Very outdated room which wasnt very clean. Found an old Walmart bag shoved behind the microwave. The bathroom floor in the corners had dirt built up, the front door had spider webs on the hinge. I have pictures of all the things I pointed out above. I was a cook in the army who got cleanliness next to godliness shoved down my throat, that room fell far short of that remark. The breakfast buffet was good not great which was the best thing about our stay. Please feel free to contact me regarding this @ 757-788-6767, i can forward the pictures as well. If my daughter wasn't getting married i wouldn't have stayed once seeing the room but i had no other option so we reluctantly stayed. The first room had mold and mildew and smelt wet and the shower drained slowly. The second room we were move too had a smoky smell and was dirty. The walls need to be wash and doors. The carpet was so dirty and the corners of the room and bathroom had mold

Mildew, wet carpet, water dripping from the walls. Mold growing on things. Dampness. Where supposed to stay 11 nights, made it one and half. Would not recommend.

Very very dirty and strong smell inside the room

Reserved 2 rooms for my family for a quick one night stop on our way home from vacation.. the rooms smelled like urine and were not clean.. no way we could stay there.. left immediately.. the receptionist was very kind and apologetic.. hope to get a refund.. was told because I booked through Expedia I may not get a refund.. will try

Housekeeping service performed the bare minimum, our bed was never made. Trash was not removed from our room. The sink and shower would not drain properly and it leave a disgusting smell. Not to mention the bugs we saw every night.

Room was not very clean, toilet kept backing up! Some stranger kept knocking on my door! Did not fell safe!

Our stay was an over night stay. This is our 2nd time. This time was much better. Much better on the cleanliness, on the low end the mattress was worn, the drainage to the shower was super slow.

Rooms are a good size. Not a great view anywhere to look at, as its just hotels on each side. View is just parking lot.

Although I didn't use it, the pool area and courtyard are very nice. The rooms are...eh. My room smelled like bleach (at least I know it was cleaned), and my parent's room smelled musty. The tub has ingrained dirt on the bottom and the shower curtain was shredded. It wasn't terrible. I just kept in mind that you get what you pay for. I was looking for a budget room and that's what I got.

The carpet could use a good cleaning. There was some sort of white spot next to the bed. The bed top cover had a hole and looked like it had old grease spots on it from someone who once worked on a car and put their hands on it. The bathroom was the most fresh room which was nice. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

Check in was slow, the room had a smoke detector with a chirping battery that they told me to remove rather than fix or move me, there were people down by the pool being extremely loud and obnoxious until after 3am. Horrible experience. Will never at a Days Inn again.

Initial impression on elevator; blood and Mexican food on filthy floor. Room: Stop lock broken. Deadbolt broken, just spinning around no catch. Sheer curtains, had to change clothes in bathroom. Sheets, bathroom, sink clean. Just shut down facility to renovate. If my husband hadn’t been with me, it would have been safer for me to sleep in my truck with functioning locks.

Hotel was a little worn around the edges. Staff was great, breakfast options were good. We had a room in back, very quiet.

Came in to room with water dripping out of shower and puddled on the floor, tried to use phone in room to call front desk, didnt work. Front desk was nice but wasnt offered another room. I did say we could deal with the water issue, which seems to resolve after showering. Room smelled VERY musty, we arrived around 9pm and just wanted to rest as my daughter was having surgery at UVa the next day. Looked like bodily fluids on wall around toilet. AC unit sounded like it was trying to acheive lift off, i was up all night but didnt want to disturb my boyfriend who drove 3 hours to get us here. Originally tried to get a room through Baymont Wyndamn, site wouldnt let me get a room, I called price was different,but tried charging me excessive taxes and fees and did not match what the site said.So i got one at Days Inn. Free breakfast is confined to dining area only which I was not up for without sleep so we didnt get that either. Glad I packed food. I told the front desk manager about my experience and offered no help since it was booked online. I frequent Culpeper often as its where my daughter lives, but will invest in air mattress instead of ever staying at this hotel. My last visit was with Microtel shouldve went there, much better all the way around then this place. Money wasted and a long miserable day ahead trying to tend my daughter. I didnt want to be a problem so we tried to just deal with it, but lesson learned. Never again.

They kept saying they didn’t have rooms but they did we questioned but the staff kept saying no rooms. The general manager would not speak to me about it at all. Told me I’m on the do not rent to list. STILL don’t know why! The pool was nice but the room smelt and were dirty.

The property is outdated which is very deceptive through website pictures. The cleanliness is a different story. Our room was very dirty when we got there, it had coats of dust and garbage all around the furniture. It seems they vacuum only where you can walk but did not bother moving tables or chairs. The room had a very strong smell of humidity that was unbearable at times. The bathroom paint was pealing off due to the high level of humidity. There was also a garbage can outside of our room filled with garbage and pizza boxes on the floor. They did not pick up or empty it until the 3rd day we were there. Also, after our first night, we left bright and early and returned late in the evening around 5:30 pm. Our room hadn’t been cleaned. The cleaning lady banged on the door around 6 and when k told her not to worry about it and to come back the next day, she rolled her eyes and just walked away. After the second night she knocked on our door at 8:15 in the morning. Staff was not very nice. When we checked in. The person at checkin was rude. We needed to also ask questions because she was not thorough with her welcome information. She did not tell us how to get to our room, she didn’t tell us the restaurant hours of operation, didn’t provide swimming hours, didn’t provide us with WiFi password or anything. The only staff that was nice were the waiters and waitresses. The lady that cleaned the buffet area was very rude and breakfast was the same thing everyday.

Near to adjacent locations where we were traveling from and to.

Booked this hotel based on its location as shown on Hotels.com. It turned out that the location is incorrect and the hotel is on the outskirts of the town. Overall a tired hotel in need of major renovation. Would not recommend this hotel in current condition.

This was an inexpensive option for a weekend stay to visit family. Culpepper is a very neat place to shop and eat. There were noisy guests and trucks in lot, but could happen everywhere. Staff was very cooperative and friendly. All you needed was to ask and they would help

The property was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. It was awesome for the price they charge, but don’t expect extravagance. We stayed 1 night before heading to UVA. Just remember that when you buy beer, you get beer… when you buy champagne, you get champagne. You don’t want to pay for beer and get champagne….

The walls in the bathroom were dirty and the curtains were dirty. Otherwise room was okay. Breakfast was great except the very weak coffee. Pricy for what you get.

Good place to stay, friendly staff, good breakfast other than the coffee being too weak. I would recommend this place.
