The hospitality was fantastic. The staff couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were spotless with fluffy white towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Plenty of safe parking. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful, made you feel very welcome. Plenty of parking and a good location for the cricket at a fraction of the cost to properties nearer the stadium. It's definitely more of a b&b then hotel but you get a comfortable room and a good breakfast. There is a bar although it was limited to bottles it's better then nothing and also a pool table to pass the time. There is a fair bit of road noise so leaving the windows open when it's warm is not an option which meant the room was a bit warm but there was a fan provided. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Staff are very welcoming and will help as much as they can, to make sure your stay is good, the rooms are clean and fresh, the bar and dining areas are clean, and the pool table is a great added extra to this B&B. Like most old buildings there is always something that needs doing, if you look for it, but overall the property is in good character. We stayed for 1 night for a business trip, but would stay for more nights as the feeling of the place is very good, and this is down to the staff, Peter is a excellent host and will do his best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and Michael is very pleasant and will help you just as much, we can not comment on all the staff as we only meet 1 more staff member that served our breakfast (sorry cant remember her name) but was very pleasent and helped when needed.

The staff were great and the breakfast was as good, room spacious and warm. Actually it was a little too warm and because it was next to a noisy road you couldn’t have the windows open. They need a more extensive choice at the bar and cheaper prices for what they obviously picked up there supply from the supermarket at a budget price but charged alot

I have trouble walking and the lift was out of order on arrival. Not to worry, the sevice team swapped our first floor room for a ground floor more accessible one as soon as they saw the problem. Thank you so much for for your kindly intervention. We had a good night sleep and the breakfast was outstanding. This set us up for the ferry journey to the Isle of Wight. Superb!

Outstanding reception by staff upon ( scheduled late - 10pm) arrival - nothing hurried or too much trouble. Clean room. Very comfortable bed. No traffic noise. Excellent shower with plentiful soapy luxuries. Average cooked breakfast (cheap sausages). Safe ample off road parking. Needs a prominent, clearly named roadside sign as I missed it first time in the dark and pouring rain.

Charming B & B which is excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and attentive and make every effort to ensure you have a great stay. The room is clean and very comfortable and there is plenty of parking. I'm looking forward to staying again very soon.

Recently renovated interiors and rooms, all clean and fresh. Didn’t sample the breakfast due to an early checkout. Staff were all friendly and helpful. One criticism was the rather untidy exterior parking area, it didn’t match the presentation of the interior; easily rectified, but gives a bad first impression.

The room size was very good, the bed was comfortable, and it had a decent shower. Staff were very polite and friendly. The overall property is outdated, with squeaking floorboards and door hinges (that last was promptly fixed once it was pointed out). Overall experience was pleasant

The staff were amazing and very accomodating. Breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately we could not sleep due to the road noise. But we are very light sleepers, so if you sleep well and are not troubled by road noise please don’t let that put you off.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well equiped with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent and as someone with Coeliac Disease, my gluten free needs were catered for without fuss. An excellent stay.

Very welcoming Michael on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and CJ was very helpful as we were on a motorcycle and had 2 panniers and a top box to take upstairs to our room CJ kindly offered to take the 2 panniers to our room and that is now a rarity now a days for any hotel so good on ya

As a single female travelling would not recommend. No amenities within walking distance for evening meal options. No one on reception from 7pm and just did not feel safe. Decided not to stay and booked another hotel after arriving

it's a good basic hotel, staff are friendly. The only downside was the hotel is in the countryside and easy to miss if driving at night, and if staff forget to put outside lights on.

The B&B was lovely, and the staff went out of their way to welcome us. I would definitely return. We opted out of the full breakfast, but it seemed very nice. We were only staying one night, before a cruise, so we hadn't rented a car. The Royal Swan has plenty of parking, but without a car, dining options are limited. 2 very nice places are walkable in the daytime, but at night, we took an Uber. On our way to the cruise port, we saw many dining options nearby, but you need a car.

great people who run this place with enthusiasm and commitment. It takes a little while to get served what you have ordered, but the food is good. rented three rooms and they were refurbished and in good condition, outside the hotel looks old and worn but inside everything is so much better. There was no smell of smoke in our room. The hotel is inna forest so no view.

This hotel ticked almost all of the boxes. It was clean and comfortable, a good price, the staff were very pleasant.. It would have benefited from having a fully equipped bar, and providing an evening meal. The nearby pub covered those areas, so not a big deal.

We enjoyed a welcome stop on our way home, having left the ferry from Spain. David greeted us warmly, in spite of us being late! The SatNav couldn’t find the name of the hotel so we spent time looking about the area in the dark. A name change has been submitted to Google.

The staff were amazing and very accomodating. Breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately we could not sleep due to the road noise. But we are very light sleepers, so if you sleep well and are not troubled by road noise please don’t let that put you off.

The hospitality was fantastic. The staff couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were spotless with fluffy white towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Plenty of safe parking. I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Normally stay at Botley Grange hadn’t realised it was the sister hotel. From the outside doesn’t look very appealing was surprised by standard inside font be fooled by the outside . Only downside no evening meal but a 5/7 minute walk to the local pub excellent

The staff were great and the breakfast was as good, room spacious and warm. Actually it was a little too warm and because it was next to a noisy road you couldn’t have the windows open. They need a more extensive choice at the bar and cheaper prices for what they obviously picked up there supply from the supermarket at a budget price but charged alot

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well equiped with a good shower. Breakfast was excellent and as someone with Coeliac Disease, my gluten free needs were catered for without fuss. An excellent stay.

Booked at last minute while visiting nearby Bombay Sapphire. What a complete delight! Property is quaint, yet has all the modern amenities you need. When we checked in, we were given a small thermos of milk to go with the tea/coffee service in the room. Had delicious burgers in the cozy dining room. The property abuts a footpath that takes you through the beautiful countryside, past a pond and a horse farm. Don't miss this delightful walk. Breakfast (included) was eggs cooked to order. If you are visiting Bombay Sapphire or the Silk Mill, stay here!

Points négatifs desxqu on rentre dans la salle de bain la lumière s allume automatiquement et pas moyen de déconnecter cette option. Pas agréable la nuit qd on va aux sanitaires. This was a very nice hotel, it was clean and comfortable, I would stay there again if I was in the area. I didn't give it full marks due to a few minor issues. - It is poorly signed from the road, the signs are just a picture of a swan, no sign of the name at all. This was exacerbated because Apple maps had it wrongly positioned about 100 yards up the road. - The lights in the bathroom are timed, and the motion sensors didn't work if you were in the shower, resulting in you being plunged into darkness every couple of minutes. - You had to order your breakfast the night before, it is so much better if you can order in the morning as you may feel like having something else. It was a good breakfast though.
