A 7 star hotel. I love this hotel. It's perfect. Gorgeous, enormous rooms with stunning views. You can walk downtown or to Zamalek or Giza or the museum. You can buy a SIM card at the desk. 6 international restaurants -- but best of all is the Grill restaurant which is so elegant with the perfect view of the Nile and exceptional food. Best restaurant in Cairo. All of the staff in the hotel are so professional and made everything a breeze. You feel like you are at the beating heart of the city. The world comes and goes. Magical.

Staff upgraded me to a Nile view room. When construction noise h be othered me they moved me six rooms lower and brought a complimentary basket of fruit - service was great, spa and spa services were fantastic.

Great location, clean rooms that we very modern with good air-conditioning. A large choice of restaurants and a coffee shop open 24 hours. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately there is a building next door which over looks the pool which looks derelict so isn't a great veiw to look at.

This hotel is in a very unique location along the Nile, close to some museums and central. But the area it resides within is very old and nearly impossible to navigate on foot with the traffic patterns. It seems the group of larger hotels along the river to the north would be better suited for getting out and exploring, but still, Intercontinental Semiramis has an outstanding breakfast, a lot of restaurant choices, a really nice pool, and well-trained and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Det var et pænt hotel med god service, og masser af security. Værelserne var rene og store nok til en familie på 4. Hotellet har en super beliggenhed centralt i byen. Der en god og varieret morgenmadsbuffet. Vi spiste også frokost i poolbaren og aftensmad i den italienske restaturant, men begge steder var maden skuffende. Desværre var de andre restauranter lukket pga. Ramadan. Der var sol ved pool’en hele dagen og vi nød udsigten til Nilen. Hotel gym er absolut 5 stjernet, både størrelse og i udstyr. Det var et godt hotel valg til prisen. Vi var 2 familier med teenagere afsted.

O Hotel é excelente, super localizado, ótimos restaurantes, academia e uma piscina maravilhosa com vista para o Rio Nilo. Ótimo café da manhã e funcionários atenciosos. Recomendo.

Beautiful property, great spa, gym and swimming pool. Rooms need some update but comfortable and those facing the river have an incredible view. Multiple restaurants and coffee shops but service can sometimes be slow in some. Security is tight. Front desk and concierge et front door staff were helpful. Check-in and check-out were fast and accurate. Unfortunately the area around have few attractions except the Egyptian museum which is moving out. There are abandoned homes around despite some embassies and the parliament is close nearby. Downtown is nearby but looks run down and dirty. There is also a confusing metro station close. The hotel however is a gem and prices are fair for what it offers.

This hotel is in desperate need for renovation. The rooms are super old, the sheets in one of the beds was stained, I ordered in room dining dessert and had to call three times to follow up because it took than an hour to deliver and they forgot one of the desserts - but still charged for it. The breakfast is the same everyday, so if you are staying a few nights you have to eat the same boring food. The staff on the restaurant bed to be trained in little things like taking a coffee order, such a simple thing was super difficult to get done. For the price tag, I think it's best to find somewhere else

The hotel is beautiful & spotlessly clean. Staff are super helpful. Room was comfortable & had great views over the Nile. Breakfast was fresh, varied & tasty, also a big bonus for it being open till 11am. Only negative was the price of food, 3 times more expensive than in nearby restaurants which i guess was too be expected

Pros: Great restaurant options. Housekeeper cleaned the rooms well. Nice view. Servers at the upscale restaurants were very welcoming and professional. Concierge was nice. Effective security. Lobby area is modern and clean. Conveniently located. Cons: hotel smells like cigarettes, even in the nonsmoking area. They place ashtrays by the elevators and other nonsmoking areas like they cater to smokers only. Our room smelled like smoked even though we requested nonsmoking but we dealt with it. We eventually had to switch rooms because staff were painting in the hallway and the paint smell was too strong. The staff were nice enough to switch our room on a higher floor where there was no painting taken place. The rooms looked outdated. Every restaurant you go to they ask for a review and staff stands next to you until you do it. This is why there's so many good reviews on here. The breakfast was basic at best, not enough selection of food. The breakfast servers were not welcoming or friendly. They were arguing with each other in front of guests, very unprofessional.

This hotel is very tired and really needs a refresh. Intercontinental is an aspirational luxury brand. This hotel is more like a cheap budget motel. The real issue is price point and brand projection do not match. Arrived early after 22 hours of travel to be told “no rooms until 3:00 PM” - at 5:00 PM only room available turned out to be a smoking room. The room was very degraded. Towel rails fell off the wall, tap handles feel off and the wall paper was peeling. Water from the shower leaked on the panels which were falling to pieces. The room was filthy. Pieces of rubbish embedded into the carpet and dust balls around the furniture. The aircon vent was disgusting. Entertainment was provided by the local nightclubs which blared music to 4:00 AM. Soundproofing was non existent. Checked out and went to the Sheraton. Which is lovely.

Cleanliness: 3.5/5 - Clean towels but there were some blood stains on my sheets. Overall the rest of the room was decent. Service: 3/5 - Friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is pretty diverse but was the worse tasting of all the hotels I went to on my trip. I also found it weird that there were no usb outlets or outlets near the bed stands. Comfort: 3/5 - Mattresses were comfy. The only thing is I upgraded to a nile view which equates to more noise at night. Wasn’t worth it to upgrade. Noise: 3/5 - With the Nile view we were situated right above the outside lounge/restaurant/pool area. There was music up until midnight-1am which didn’t make for a peaceful stay.

Good hotel and great staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and has all amenities. The balcony provides a good view to the Tahriri square and I enjoyed sitting there at night listening to the street bustle of the never-sleeping Cairo.

Positive- The staff and service was AMAZING. I cannot complain one bit. The breakfast buffet is probably the best I’ve had at a hotel. Great variety and super tasty. Location was central. Negative- rooms are dated, no black out curtains and lots of noise from the street. If they upgraded the rooms (especially the bathroom!) I would definitely come back.

Beautiful property, great spa, gym and swimming pool. Rooms need some update but comfortable and those facing the river have an incredible view. Multiple restaurants and coffee shops but service can sometimes be slow in some. Security is tight. Front desk and concierge et front door staff were helpful. Check-in and check-out were fast and accurate. Unfortunately the area around have few attractions except the Egyptian museum which is moving out. There are abandoned homes around despite some embassies and the parliament is close nearby. Downtown is nearby but looks run down and dirty. There is also a confusing metro station close. Pros: Great restaurant options. Housekeeper cleaned the rooms well. Nice view. Servers at the upscale restaurants were very welcoming and professional. Concierge was nice. Effective security. Lobby area is modern and clean. Conveniently located. Cons: hotel smells like cigarettes, even in the nonsmoking area. They place ashtrays by the elevators and other nonsmoking areas like they cater to smokers only. Our room smelled like smoked even though we requested nonsmoking but we dealt with it. We eventually had to switch rooms because staff were painting in the hallway and the paint smell was too strong. The staff were nice enough to switch our room on a higher floor where there was no painting taken place. The rooms looked outdated. Every restaurant you go to they ask for a review and staff stands next to you until you do it. This is why there's so many good reviews on here. The breakfast was basic at best, not enough selection of food. The breakfast servers were not welcoming or friendly. They were arguing with each other in front of guests, very unprofessional.

The hotel is in a great location, amazing view over the Nile and in good condition. While the staff are very friendly, they are not efficient. So at breakfast you have to wait ages for them to clear and set tables, bring coffee etc.. the same in the restaurants for other meals. We ordered food, they brought the wrong food over, then the wrong bill. Another time they forgot part of the order, then took ages to bring the missing item over. I’d recommend for the location and views but they are reliant on that

The hotel is clean and shiny, and the Nile view is great. My only concern is that it is already 5:30 pm and I am still waiting for my room to be ready, after being told "your room will be ready in 45 minutes" three times. I complained to the manager after the second time and was told that the non-smoking preference and bed type are not guaranteed. Are you seriously placing non-smokers in a smoking room at a 5-star hotel?

After an initial mishap which led to stress for me and my team who were staying here for the night for work reasons, I have to give the front desk kudos for really going above and beyond to make up for that. They really helped make amends and for that we'll gladly come back in November when we're back in Cairo for work.

This is a good modern property and very well situated, the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. However the service at the restaurants is slow and disinterested. There's a lot of staff on hand, and they are so nice, but they don't seem to know how to do or they have not been trained. The Management, lot's of them, just stand talking to each other. Other than that it is a good property. I'd stay here again.

Good hotel and great staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and has all amenities. The balcony provides a good view to the Tahriri square and I enjoyed sitting there at night listening to the street bustle of the never-sleeping Cairo.

High end hotel in an intense city. The many restaurants and outdoor areas make it a nice safe haven to escape the noise outside. The area and the traffic can be noisy, but that goes together with the great location. The view of the city and the Nile is fantastic. Staff is nice and friendly.

This hotel is in a very unique location along the Nile, close to some museums and central. But the area it resides within is very old and nearly impossible to navigate on foot with the traffic patterns. It seems the group of larger hotels along the river to the north would be better suited for getting out and exploring, but still, Intercontinental Semiramis has an outstanding breakfast, a lot of restaurant choices, a really nice pool, and well-trained and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I absolutely love this hotel. It makes everything easy. It's both on the river and in downtown. The staff are so amazing and professional. It's a proper 5 star. Beautiful and generous comfortable rooms with incredible views. Every type of international food. Hairdresser and spa. They will sell you a local SIM at the concierge. You walk out the door and you are right by the museum. The best hotel in Cairo. By a long shot!

great location, in Tahrir square. many restaurants walkable distance. also across the bridge you can just walk to the Cairo tower. good rooms. 24 hours cafe open which is great by the time our flight arrived, getting bags, getting visa etc it was almost past midnight and they were able to make a hot meal and coffee for us! which was very nice. loved the property. really good breakfast as well. would recommend to others and stay here in future if opportunity presents itself.

Great location, clean rooms that we very modern with good air-conditioning. A large choice of restaurants and a coffee shop open 24 hours. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately there is a building next door which over looks the pool which looks derelict so isn't a great veiw to look at.

Det var et pænt hotel med god service, og masser af security. Værelserne var rene og store nok til en familie på 4. Hotellet har en super beliggenhed centralt i byen. Der en god og varieret morgenmadsbuffet. Vi spiste også frokost i poolbaren og aftensmad i den italienske restaturant, men begge steder var maden skuffende. Desværre var de andre restauranter lukket pga. Ramadan. Der var sol ved pool’en hele dagen og vi nød udsigten til Nilen. Hotel gym er absolut 5 stjernet, både størrelse og i udstyr. Det var et godt hotel valg til prisen. Vi var 2 familier med teenagere afsted.

Restaurants were good, and so was room service. Staff was very friendly and willing to help in anyway they could. Security at hotel gave the feeling of being in a safe environment. All of our tours were able to pick us up from hotel with no issues. The bathroom was a little dated and not setup for the four guests I had booked it for. Convenient ride to the airport from the hotel was booked at concierge desk.
