Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite -- a super nice gesture! Turndown service is also a nice gesture. Breakfast was superb -- highly recommended! Rooms are a bit dated: In particularly, I believe that there should be dedicated outlets for recharging mobile devices. Temperature of rooftop pool was pleasantly warm in January. There aren't many nearby restaurants in the area, but I would stay again at this hotel.

Great room with outstanding service during my entire stay. I loved the roof top pool and with a bar and ability to order food. The gym was one of the best hotel guns ever seen and I greatly enjoyed the saunas. Also, great and convenient location in the Garden District and great views of the Nile.

Lovely boutique hotel we had a suite that was very roomy and overlooking the Nile. Pool top level is very small and very crowded- we were a little disappointed as we were not able to get a pool bed at any point as it was always occupied. Restaurants were good but although staff were really trying to be helpful it was as if they were “junior” employees and not always sure what to do. Food was good not great. Service by front desk was excellent.

Amazing stay at Kempinski Hotel, very friendly personal and great amenities. The rooftop pool and spa is definitely a major plus, together with the great variety of restaurants and places to have a drink across different floors of the hotel. Will come back for sure!

This was a great selection for a first time visit to Cairo. The property is well appointed, the breakfast buffet delicious, it has a great pool with beautiful views of the city and the Nile, a great spa, great security, near the US and UK Embassies, centrally located, and with super attentive staff.

The property is very small and outdated for the rate and a "luxury" category. It is a very nice "boutique" hotel with great location and view, however, you can see a lot of wear and tear. The cleanliness was also disappointing, the carpet was obviously dirty, there were a lot of finger prints and stains on the high touch areas, also we were scheduled for a linen change but they skipped it because we were checking out the following day. The water pressure was very weak as well. The bed and linen though were very good quality. Staff are very nice however they are very selective to allow certain cars to pull in for drop off/pick up which was not expected from a luxury hotel in this area. For the price I would rather stay at Four Season or Intercontinental next door.

The hotel was very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful I emailed Concierge desk prior to our visit. Sabry communicated w me via email and we arranged a guided tour of the pyramids. Heba was our guide. She was great. She spoke English fluently and was very knowledgeable. She arranged to the tour to met our needs. I would highly recommend Heba. The tour was $$$ but very convenient and comfortable. The Concierge representatives were all pleasant and helpful at all hours of the day and night. The Hotel representatives at the front entrance were very welcoming and helpful especially with locating uber drivers. Sayed Sayed from Housekeeping was very friendly and accomodating. Ibrahim from Housekeeping cleaned and maintained our beautiful room. This hotel is truly a haven in a very busy crowded Cairo. I would recommend a Nile view room from a high floor. We were on the 9th floor; the view was amazing.

Check-in was very easy. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. If they have a suitable room, they do not wait for the check-in time. The room size was adequate and very clean. There were 3 important deficiencies that I can write. The first and most important of these; the sound insulation of our room on the 2nd floor facing the road was unfortunately very bad. All the car sounds were in the room. Secondly, although the cooling setting of the refrigerator was at the last level, it did not provide sufficient cooling. Thirdly, the bathroom turned into a lake when taking a shower due to the poor insulation of the bottom of the cabin.

Thought the hotel was a really nice stay. As a 5* expectations are set very high and overall felt the hotel fairly well met but didn’t exceed these/excite. Rooms felt a little small and dated, but overall service was good, location was nice, breakfast had a good variety and generally fair to good food. Cafe was excellent (atmosphere and food). Having stayed at two other 5* hotels on the same holiday albeit in a different country, the Kempinski was certainly not the best of the three but nonetheless a nice place all the same

Check-in took an unnecessarily long 20-25 minutes, as our host was preoccupied speaking in Arabic with two employees who, by contrast, were efficiently helping other guests in just 5-7 minutes. After finally checking in, we entered a warm room with no functioning AC. The first technician who came suggested we "increase the temperature and wait 10 minutes" – an absurd solution. Frustrated, I called the front desk again, and a proper technician resolved the issue in 5 minutes. Next came the ordeal of connecting to the hotel’s Internet. It should have been simple: enter my last name and room number. Instead, we had no connection. Worse yet, I was repeatedly promised IT help, only to have two hotel employees arrive and, without permission, touch my laptop while questioning the spelling of my last name. What made matters worse was the lack of attentiveness during check-in. I was traveling with a family member in a wheelchair. Later, I was taking a relaxing bath with the beautiful view – but my room was located directly in front of a prayer tower. While I respect cultural norms, the loud calls to prayer starting as early as 5:00 AM and continuing throughout the day until 6:45 PM. Westerners: avoid 5th floor rooms facing Nile River. Also the hotel-provided hair dryer didn’t fit the room’s outlets. Next day, our Muslim neighbours started singing loud, clapping with also very loud music at 4 AM. Breakfast that you pay extra had bad sour coffee, bad food, next day they changed chef.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were really helpful. A special thanks to Rajab in the Exec Lounge, Christine and Ibrahim during breakfast and to Raed for helping recover a phone left in a taxi. Overall, an excellent stay and would happily return.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were really helpful. A special thanks to Rajab in the Exec Lounge, Christine and Ibrahim during breakfast and to Raed for helping recover a phone left in a taxi. Overall, an excellent stay and would happily return.

The service at the Kempinski continues to be disappointing for a big name hotel. Check-in was slow - and despite being ‘Gold’ (whatever that means now) there was no early check-in. More frustrating was that when we did get our room, they offered to bring our bags to the room. I had an online meeting - so offered to bring them myself. They insisted they would do it and they’d be with us in five minutes. 45 minutes and three phone calls later to chase them, I went down to the reception to find them, only to miss my meeting. The rooms are nice and in good condition - but continue to use single plastic toiletries galore. We will stay elsewhere next time.

Started out as a bit of a disaster as my luggage didn't arrive for almost 2 days but the staff sorted me out with pj's and other essentials to keep me going. The welcome at Kempinski was as always, warm and friendly. My room had a view out over my favourite river, the stunning Nile. I received fresh fruit and sweet treats as a welcome gift,👌. The room was spotless, with everything you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. The amazing staff took great pride in how clean they kept the rooms and always checked to see if you needed anything. Some of the lovely staff on my floor were, Mohammed, Karim and Ahmed just to mention a few. I had executive lounge access which was excellent and it was so lovely to see the wonderful Mahmood who keeps it all running smoothly. For me, from the red ladies team, all the way up to the staff at the rooftop pool, the staff are the best in the world. Making your stay the best it can be is what they do and they sure did .⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel was very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful I emailed Concierge desk prior to our visit. Sabry communicated w me via email and we arranged a guided tour of the pyramids. Heba was our guide. She was great. She spoke English fluently and was very knowledgeable. She arranged to the tour to met our needs. I would highly recommend Heba. The tour was $$$ but very convenient and comfortable. The Concierge representatives were all pleasant and helpful at all hours of the day and night. The Hotel representatives at the front entrance were very welcoming and helpful especially with locating uber drivers. Sayed Sayed from Housekeeping was very friendly and accomodating. Ibrahim from Housekeeping cleaned and maintained our beautiful room. This hotel is truly a haven in a very busy crowded Cairo. I would recommend a Nile view room from a high floor. We were on the 9th floor; the view was amazing.

Kempinski hotel was beyond my expectations. Absolutely clean and quiet. The food was 10/10. Close to everything. All tourist areas was 20-25 minutes away including airport. Would recommend anyone and everyone to stay here.

The hotel is located a block away from The Four Seasons Hotel and sits next to the Nile. It is surrounded by historical Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco ex-mansions in the Garden City neighborhood. The Turkish restaurant is good and upstairs bar has excellent views. Helpful, friendly staff.

This was a great selection for a first time visit to Cairo. The property is well appointed, the breakfast buffet delicious, it has a great pool with beautiful views of the city and the Nile, a great spa, great security, near the US and UK Embassies, centrally located, and with super attentive staff.

This hotel was very nice. Staff was friendly. It’s a good location so you can walk around however since Cairo traffic is a little crazy we just took Ubers from the hotel to where we needed to be since we were not going to risk crossing the streets. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite -- a super nice gesture! Turndown service is also a nice gesture. Breakfast was superb -- highly recommended! Rooms are a bit dated: In particularly, I believe that there should be dedicated outlets for recharging mobile devices. Temperature of rooftop pool was pleasantly warm in January. There aren't many nearby restaurants in the area, but I would stay again at this hotel.

Nice pool bar and spa, not enough dinning options and extensive menu. Food was average especially at the rooftop pool bar, we had ordered sandwiches which came quite cold and rubbery considering it was a toasted sandwich. Need to definitely up the food.

Kempinski is supposed to be a 5 Star hotel and experience however some aspects have let us down during our stay. Their Bar fridges were malfunctioning and some items in the room from a house keeping perspective were not up to standard. Their breakfast was amazing albeit the service in the Resturant has been disappointing to a point where I carried dishes off our messy table.

The hotel is clean and the lounge had good food and drinks options while we waited. They also dry-cleaned what we gave them in less than 2 hours, enough time for us to get ready for the wedding we were attending later. We had lunch at the Italian restaurant in the hotel. The Alfredo pasta was the most disappointing and tasteless pasta we've ever had... the other dishes were better. We wouldn't advise walking around. We saw many stray dogs barking at people in the streets. It's better to take a car to your destination.
